I agree Mike, I always go to my brothers to do stuff for him. He is married with 3 kids and I have the equipment and the time so there’s nothing wrong with helping a family member, or a friend for that matter. Don’t always need something in return or have them there helping.

12:59 🤣🤣 Nice job cleaning up the entrance and getting the ditch and road started. Don't worry about viewers wondering why your brother isn't helping just enjoy doing what you do with and for each other. A few loads of chirp and a culvert should make all the difference in that muddy mess area. Looking forward to watching it. Another great video. Thank you Capt. 👍

I guess some people just can’t grasp the meaning of help without it being a reciprocal transaction.
There is video proof of Tony helping you and as you mentioned he helped you a lot when you were building your house but I’m sure if that hadn’t happened you’d still be there helping.

@Captain Kleeman - If the road/driveway is muddy in spots, you can take the long thin logs and saplings and lay them across the driveway, making a corduroy road or log road.
It's an old technic that uses the surrounding small trees as a road base or filler to raise a road above wet areas so horses, wagons, and people could travel without getting stuck.

I still love your sense of humor... Organic rebar. Classic. I have a John Deere 2305 and love it. One thing that was a game changer for me in terms of digging with the bucket was a tooth bar (I believe I got it from Heavy Hitch). I got a Standard Duty Tooth Bar as that is what fit on my cutting edge. The price depends on width of Tooth Bar - but around $425 - $500 for Standard Duty. Thought I would mention it in case you hadn't heard of them. I know your budget doesn't allow you to buy all the toys you probably would like to have - just wanted to let you know how much I love mine.

Cap’n I don’t have forks for my baby tractor… but after finding out they have a ‘rock mode’, I am definitely interested!!! It seems like every time you bring out that 755 Swiss Army Knife it gains another blade.
Looks to me like brother Tony may have a gold mine on his hands… the 755 kneaded that clay to the perfect consistency for a potters wheel… it sells for $5 per pound at my local art supply. At our local farm store, a bag of pond seal clay sells for $6. And… of course… when the sun comes out and bakes those ruts, he can sell world famous 755 Tire Impressions and make a mint.
    Cap’n, it’s alookin’ good!

As for working for/with your family - most will already know/understand....not all families are perfect (if that's the right word).
Not saying Capt Kleeman's is perfect but like many of his 'creations' his family, from the foundations up, seems like it's built to last
Whilst my own family collapsed and rotted away because the 'foundations' were built crooked and with poor substance....that's life

You remind me of me. Building road with a little tractor. My Kubota B7500, 21hp is too small the experts told me, but 1500' of road later I proved them wrong. That clay gumbo is a nightmare, ask me how I know. I learned there is only one way to tame it: road cloth. Probably out of the budget but the second option is large 3-4" road base rock. Also, I find my box blade is the wonder tool. Set the cutting edge angle right and you can either cut or smooth the ground, and bulldoze in reverse. Can even cut a ditch by adjusting the 3-point arms. Also I feel bad for you with those slick tires. I run R1 ag tires and don't regret it. But you know what you're doing and the result proves it. Looks great!

They really like spending other people's money cause it don't cost them anything. 👍 Your land plane doohicky does a good job. Maybe you should build a corduroy road in that muddy place😵‍💫. Your brother certainly has enough trees for it, LOL. Yeah when it comes to doing work for family, sometimes you need help, other times they are just in the way and it's just quicker to go do it yourself when you don't actually need a extra pair of hands. I mean what would your brother be doing while you are playing on the tractor? The big address rock that wasn't, LOL.
