    M715 would be a great foundation to start with. Strong frame and huge fenderwells for big tires. Keep the existing bed, bob the rear some and throw in a boom unit kind of like Rory did. But it all comes down to who's paying the bills and who's driving .

    That looks like place a guy could get in trouble buying toys haha. I like the other square body wrecker but you already have a wrecker. Might be nice to diversify your setup and build a truck more intended for pulling and winch type recoveries. That old white jeep would be awesome for that. Interested to see what you choose for a drive train. Maybe copy the wrecker so parts interchange? That little jeep would sure scoot with a hot little small block chevy under the hood! If you do a build series I'll be here for every episode! Looking forward to it whichever rig you choose. Take care guys.

  • @MrBikerider84550
    @MrBikerider84550 Год назад +3

    I think the M715 would take way more work to get it going , where with the square body Chevy you already have a lot of parts and as you pointed out the controls are the same as yours so working it would be just memory on where what switches are located . It also seemed like it was more whole even tho it would still take a bit of work to get it into a working status but much less than the M715 . I think you should go with the square body Chevy .

  • @kevind5508
    @kevind5508 Год назад +18

    As cool as that m715 is it would sure be a lot of work. I'd be worried about beefing it up because of things like the single sheer rear leaf spring mount. Throwing the body on a late model frame would put you miles ahead. Either way looking forward to the build

The good thing about the 7 series truck's was being able to fit a 38" tire without having to modify the fenders.

    I love full size jeeps that 715 is awesome. I would definitely build the jeep truck.
    I was also thinking the square body would be easy to run spare parts wise and switching things between trucks. You would still be able to build it differently to be better at certain things than your current wrecker or however you wanted to do it. It really is nice having multiple of the same vehicles.
    But the jeep truck is very cool those things are really fun and I love the grill on those.

    And the roads you can drive in on and drive around are very good. This place is one big mud hole. You’re much too good of a mechanic, Eric and a darn good man, for you to wanna pick something from this wrecker yard. It would cost a small fortune to get something half-way wake up and running!!

    It's good to have a backup and options.
    Matt's Offroad created the MORRvair to act as a backup for the Banana and then expanded with the wrecker.
    Casey LaDelle has multiple vehicles for the different needs in his area.
    Rory built Old Blue to act as a backup for Trail Mater. I think this might be the best option for BSF since he knows what he needs and how to get it out of a stock truck.
