@@jesseduke694 I’ve never tried to use the FE brackets before but I know the 351M/400 brackets won’t bolt on. I know the 351M power steering bracket can be made to work on the 460 with some modifications because I had a 460 that used the 351M power steering bracket that had been modified when I got it. I guess most guys don’t try the FE brackets on a 460 because most of them are content to just replace their 360 with a 390 and not switch to a 460.
@@davidsonneman1121 you should have bought a lottery ticket because you got lucky…lol. In my case I have two of the later external balance 460’s so the flywheel is easy to find. It’s finding a true 429/460 bellhousing that is so hard.
@ oh yeah…a manual transmission swap is a lot more involved than swapping an automatic. Sometimes the Zbar pivot doesn’t line back up either when you swap them. It depends on the motor mounts that you used. If the mounts set the engine any lower or higher then the engine side Zbar pivot will be off from the frame side pivot.

@@moparnut6286 what’s sad is Chevy guys can’t even work on the other GM engines either. Never let a Chevy guy work on a Pontiac engine. Their distributor turns backwards from a Chevrolet. Chevy guys always put the spark plugs wires on them backwards. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you too!

My power steering brackets & alternater brackets from my 360/390 worked fine on my 460.

Really good info. Mine has a boss 429 flywheel in it with a 460 bell housing. Managed to find 2 of those flywheels. 79 F350 4x4
