Hi! Perhaps ground into the dirt by the 'inactions' of it's developers? Episode 2 is still in development. You can check out our you tube for some recent, albeit vauge teasers. When we started this, Justin hoped profits from episode 1 would fund ep 2 and 3. After ep1, the lead engineer made demands we couldn't meet and left the company while we were in talks with Sony to be on ps4. Albino Lullaby's lackluster sales trailed far behind their you tube views and then forced Justin to seek out paying work. He worked with 'The Tangentlemen' and is now at 'Otherside entertainment'. Right now we are in active development. EP2, in some form, will release, but we would be crazy to let Justin set another date. :) Thanks for the awesome video! sorry the devs screwed their reputation.--- right now we are doing our best to respond to all comments on our you tube page.
Interesting! I won’t lie and say this gives me more hope over the future of AL, but as I said in my video, I really do hope for the best because this is a game that deserves to see its remaining episodes released. Thank you for the additional information as well, I’ve pinned your comment so that others can see there is a little more to the matter than just what I discussed. Best of luck, and I truly hope to be playing episode 2 soon!
Guys, you REALY need to communicate more actively ! I've loved the Ep 1 very much and if the Ep 2 finally happen, i will buy it day one, but i hope you understand that in regard of the past of this project, i will NOT preorder the game in any way. Despite all of that, i wish you sincerely good luck with Ep2, the first one was awesome and i realy hope to finally see his sequel.
Wow that's interesting to hear! I thought for sure the project was dead. I guess now I have a glimmer of hope. I look forward to it if you guys can pull through, I really enjoyed the first game.
I just recently remembered this game existed a little bit ago and I will honestly say that I fully understand that you are having/have had major issues in development. However this is something you should communicate with people much more openly. Any negative fallout from communicating issues is much lesser than the issues you receive when you go silent.
I would be so incredibly happy to see this game completed, I always find myself thinking about it and coming back to it again and again to watch videos of it (and wishing I could play it on Oculus Quest ahaha)
Yet here we are, the next instalment of Albino Lullaby has finally arrived over eight years after its originally intended release date and almost four years to the exact day that this video was uploaded - to tell the truth, I don't think I have ever known a troubled project so behind its originally planned release schedule to finally actually make it out like this
I'm so glad a video was made about this. I loved this game and I had no clue what was going on with it, its sad to see the game is being dragged down along with the developers :(
All this game needs is for Pewdipie or Markiplier or Jacksepticeye or CoryXkenshin to play it and it would earn tons of cash. I bet it would even earn enough for a season 2. It just needs to become mainstream. Because once it gets the ball rolling it's hard to stop it.
jordan recomendations were always interesting fran bow was one that i love alot and probably would never play it for myself. Albino lullaby is truly a sad tale , mainly because i would say that something happend in his personal life so probably cant refuse any money coming and probably the main reason why is still in the store.
I still check up on this game every now and then, without looking into the existing drama I've noticed they've released 3 updates on the steam featuring some small teasers. And they *FINALLY* at least changed the release date for the remaining 2 episodes to "coming soon" instead of some arbitrary number.
Found this game because I was looking for "something like Bioshock" and it came up. I was skeptical about the similarities, but I took one look at the visuals and knew that it would be (at the very least) an interesting experience. As predicted, while I didn't get "something like Bioshock" I did find something unique and intriguing, and quite possibly something that I could have loved (almost) as much as I do Bioshock. Having finished EP 1 I went to look for EP2 just to discover... well all this mess. Sad really. And the whole thing with the devs leave a sour taste in my mouth. Albino Lullaby could have grown to be something completely unique and loved in the gaming world, but now it is just an obscure 1 off EP with no chance for future releases. I see that they say that they are still doing stuff, but I am not holding my breath :/
I remember watching Vinny from Vinesauce play this and it captured me, this was such a cool fuckin game and i wanted more, ever since I've checked in and been saddened by no news, this was the first i learned more about it, thank you for the video ❤️
Wow so I just found this video after I remembered albino lullaby and immediately went "wait. What the hell happened to albino lullaby??" Needless to say this was very informative and also incredibly jarring to learn that its been 6 whole years since it released. Gonna check out the official channel after reading their comment about the inside reality of the development!
Thank you! I've seen a few suggestions that could help, especially around catchier thumbnails and titles. I'm just very bad at title card designs and I always worry that I'll look like an arse if I use clickbait titles. But I'm glad people enjoy my stuff!
@@JackTrustReviews I'm not an expert on this topic, but when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was some kind of Let's Play until I read the title. Maybe making clear in the thumbnail that this is a critique/review could help a bit. Let's Plays are very oversaturated and most viewers already found their preferred Let's-Player.
News from today (04/02/2023) on Steam: "Alpha build near completion ! Esteemed Patrons of Albino Lullaby. We write to you with a heart full of both excitement and regret. The excitement comes from the fact that we are approaching the completion of the second part of our beloved game. The regret comes from the knowledge that it has been a while since we updated you on the progress of the game, and for that, we are most apologetic. We are pleased to announce that our alpha build is nearly done, and it includes both gameplay and story elements. We have put forth an effort like no other to make sure that the game's mechanics and the story are engaging and enchanting. We have decided not to release a demo version of the game. Instead, we have dedicated all our energy and time to the completion of the full game. We think it would be more fitting to have you experience the complete package and not just a small piece of it. We are convinced that Albino Lullaby, Episode 2: Alice's Lullaby, will be worth the wait, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. We know that our development process has taken more time than anticipated, and we are sorry for any discontent or unease that it may have caused. We are most grateful for your support and unwavering confidence in us. It is through your encouragement and enthusiasm that we draw our strength. We will keep you posted on our progress and keep you in the loop as we reach new milestones. We are excited about sharing the finished product with you, and we hope you are equally as excited to play it. Warmest Regards,Justin, and the team at ApeLaw"
@@JackTrustReviews There’s a calculator app too. Just in case you want to whip your Switch out during your algebra test or calculate how bad of a deal Nintendo Switch Online is. Nevermind the fact that phones have had scientific calculators on them for free for like a decade. I just don’t understand who it’s for.
The devs put heart and soul into this game, but only a small number of people saw that. It didn't get the money or the backing they needed. So now why make a part 2? It won't get them anything. They have three options. 1: do nothing and find work elsewhere. 2: release a mediocre part 2 to please who? people who mostly turned on them? 3: somehow miraculously release another quality product and HOPE to get more notice this time. Realistically number 1 is the easiest choice. I could even forgive it. Lying to people though I cannot.

Did it release somewhere? Last time i checked, it wasn´t available to purchase on steam
Episode 2 was announced just a few weeks ago. Seriously, it was a crazy wait!

Remember watching the Best Friends episode on this. Looked promising, I feel a kinship for weird sh't
This time of year has me missing them.
That video is one of their best.
just came here from a Jordan Underneath marathon, sad to see nothing came of this game :/

Yeah, Albino Lullaby is a serious shame. I do hope for the best but my pessimism tells me we’ll probably never see episodes 2 and 3.

It's been so long since the game came out I had forgotten they were supposed to be sequels!

Well damn! I’ll be keeping an eye on this for sure. Despite everything, I do really want to see this game finished. Here’s hoping!
@@JackTrustReviews The Episode 2 have been released recently !

It really has. I saw a “game” on there that was literally just a digital clock face. They wanted £10 for it!
