Unfortunately for the Guard I was not fooled 😊 Would’ve been my plan had I been on the french side so I was poking around that forest with guys early on waiting for something to happen.
Prussians lost at Ligny and feel back the British did the same the two coalition army’s where commanded by Wellington and Blücher Neys failure to peruse Wellington when he started to pull back put Marshall Grouchy and another marshal to peruse Blücher while he and the rest of his marshals went to attack Wellington at Waterloo
you guys should have used the cavalry to support the imperial guard in my opinion, probably would not have allowed the prussians to form up and fire at the guard and would have routed that entire prussian army
I mean when you have the guards marching up hill toward massed militia and the lack of cavalry would you rather have a 400 gold unit or your 1k units get shot to shit? Besides at 27:48 they fired pount blank and held them in place till the grognards could come up behind them
