Absolutely incredible! I was walking down Colfax in Denver Colorado one evening and I saw their name on the billboard at the orpheum. What was so cool not only are their vocals amazing intense at times make you feel emotion perhaps that you haven't felt in a long while, memories of old friends or perhaps new ones. I was alone when I went in and left with 10 friends that I just met Lucius I owe you tenfold of gratitude and thank you for changing my musical trajectory can't wait to see you come back to Denver your friend Ezra
I know this is a positive song... but when I hear it I'm brought to tears. I love music and listen to a variety of different styles, but this song affects me in a way that nothing ever has before... it's just so incredibly beautiful. Love this song, love this band
This song makes me cry a lot too... And I think it's because it sounds like these two are so filled with love, happiness a d purpose... Makes me feel like I'm wasting my time :(
There are two of us on the run Going so fast, every doubt we had is coming undone And falling behind with everything we left there We held on for far too long And now we pass so many people on the road They could come along, I wish they'd been told They may call it a shot in the dark From what we know, it's not unheard of And we'll one day tell our story Of how we made something of ourselves now Our favorite parts are what we'll keep Ornamental parts of love and parts of memories So everything else has room to grow 'Cause in better light, everything changes So we can one day tell our story Of how we made something of ourselves now There's no race, there's only a runner Just keep one foot in front of the other There's no race there's only a runner 1, 2, 3 even when you get tired Just keep one foot in front of the other There's no race, no ending in sight No second too short, no window too tight Just turn off the lights when you leave 'Cause we've got everything we're gonna need We're on the run, we're on the run, we're on the run child We gotta run, we gotta run, we gotta run child One day tell our story Of how we made something of ourselves now One day tell our story Of how we made something We made something of ourselves
I went to go see these guys last night in Northampton at Pearl Street. We thought they were done, they'd left the stage, so we just kept cheering. They came out to play a few more songs onstage, but then they came down and just stood on chairs in the middle of the crowd to be closer to us and sang this song for us. I am enthralled by these guys.
Ugh so jealous!! I wanted to go see them at Pearl Street but I had to work and nobody could take my shift... maybe next time :) it sounds like it was a wonderful time though!
This is the most gorgeous song I've heard in years. I stumbled upon it, like a blessing or something. It's both a catalyst of the water works my heart tries to keep in and yet uplifting at the same time.
Sunana Batra awesome! Lucius are an incredible band, unlike many of modern day artists who use all the auto tune and effects in the studio, these guys are amazing if not better live than on record. X
Lyrically, this is one of the best songs I've ever heard. Sometimes I just think the words of it ("We'll tell the story of how we made something of ourselves") to myself when I'm having a bad day. This is a beautiful piece of work :)
Beautiful song. Heard this on a trailer of Covert Affairs when Annie & Ryan were running for their lives. Such a fabulous song. Just heard it today!!!!
Heard this at Oslo in London, and they came down in the middle of the crowd and stood right next to me. I literally cried tears of joy because it was so beautiful.
God dammit! Absolute full body chills, one of those rare rare bands that are just even more magical live. I’ve been listening to this song for years and I still get the same feelings!
Still cant keep from crying to this, like standing at a crossroads where looking back is hard, and looking forward can be terrifying. It is the soft light within a harsh dark world that brings me to open myself to feel, and boy do i feel. Thanks Lucius
If there’s such a thing as being too good then it’s this band. The singing, harmonising and timing is immaculate. Wish I wasn’t so late to hearing them 🪄🌟
I've seen them live 3 times and it is always worth the time, effort, money, and distance. Seriously the greatest intimate performers I have ever seen. Captivating. I'm excited for them to become stars, but I will also miss the small venues
This is absolutely brilliant. The world will come to this band as the word spreads about their talent. Really not sure why this video has so few views. This is one of the best songs I have found of theirs, and all of the songs I have heard are excellent. But this one is magical. Keep growing Lucius. You are going to be huge.
"Lethal Weapon" murtaugh files episode brought me here!!!!! God this song is beautiful.. I'm glad you're music was chosen. The tv show is pretty moving already.. but when this song was chosen for the Doc and Riggs to get a little closer.... WOW!... The first couple bars of this song had me doing a Shazam on you guys instantly... Now that i've watched your NPR tiny desk concert... well... i was already hooked on Two of us .. but.. Love your music.... I'm 50 years old and... i just love your music... THANK YOU...
Lethal Weapon brought me here too. I never thought that series would be good. But I happen to really like it especially after the episode with this song.
So beautiful oh my god... found you guys on Spotify and I didn’t know the song could sound any better but this just beat it (I’m a sucker for a live performance) ✨🎵 this is an absolute GEM!!! 💎
had to check more of lucius after I saw their cover of Daniel Johnston's "Walking the Cow", a truly beautiful version of Daniel's song, and great voices that you got there
Those harmonies at the end kill me every time! I've had this bookmarked for years now and the end makes me tear up every.single. time.... damn it Lucius!
my favorite song for the moment, find myself humming this while I work. But your harmonies, powerful vocals and retro guitar and tough drum beats ( cant leave these guys out)get me excited you guys are out of the norm and thats what we (I) need sometimes.
Nobody really sent me here, I have to give that to the sidebar.. Funny thing is when I'm on youtube usually watch movie trailers or listen to classic songs.. This awesome band and song somewhat found me.. Really loved it!
I read a review of this band by of all people Paul Krugman, political columnist! He loves them, I listened and fell in love too and passing them on to my friends! 🎼
I just noticed that they posted this video for Christmas. I first heard this song a long time ago, but somehow something's just remind me of this song again today. Merry Christmas!!
I've just discovered Lucius. They were performing "Woman" on the CBS Sunday morning show. I was mesmerized by such a gorgeous song and performance. On iTunes they are labelled as alternative, but "Woman" in particular has a very 70s folk feel. I thought of British folk band "Pentagle" or the like.

@Darius Princeton instablaster =)
Why don't musicians like this get nominated for Grammy's?
Because popular music is not talented music
Keith Rose Were you born in the wrong generation?
The Cowman Haha yes, I honestly feel like I was. I have always been called an old soul
Keith Rose Talented music is not popular music FTFY
Alex R that is exactly what I said just switched around. Are you dislexick?
I just walked down the isle to this song 4 weeks ago. Couldn't have picked a better song.
That is so beautiful
Congratulations and best wishes for a long, happy marriage, willya? Be well.
that crunchy harmony at the end is like finding God. thank you lucius.

@@theMahtahild ?
For me, it's the melody, the vocal harmonies @ 4:20 and, oh, this riff @ 2:49 ❤️️ I'm Danish and just love this music...
There are two of us on the run
Going so fast, every doubt we had is coming undone
And falling behind with everything we left there
We held on for far too long
And now we pass so many people on the road
They could come along, I wish they'd been told
They may call it a shot in the dark
From what we know, it's not unheard of
And we'll one day tell our story
Of how we made something of ourselves now
Our favorite parts are what we'll keep
Ornamental parts of love and parts of memories
So everything else has room to grow
'Cause in better light, everything changes
So we can one day tell our story
Of how we made something of ourselves now
There's no race, there's only a runner
Just keep one foot in front of the other
There's no race there's only a runner
1, 2, 3 even when you get tired
Just keep one foot in front of the other
There's no race, no ending in sight
No second too short, no window too tight
Just turn off the lights when you leave
'Cause we've got everything we're gonna need
We're on the run, we're on the run, we're on the run child
We gotta run, we gotta run, we gotta run child
One day tell our story
Of how we made something of ourselves now
One day tell our story
Of how we made something
We made something of ourselves
Lol thanks love
THANK YOU!!!

So powerful these two
This is the most gorgeous song I've heard in years. I stumbled upon it, like a blessing or something. It's both a catalyst of the water works my heart tries to keep in and yet uplifting at the same time.
+Sunana Batra Agreed
+Sunana Batra Yes mam
Oh, they are so, so good. All of their work.
Sunana Batra. I felt the same way, great analogy. It is such a raw sound, not over produced.
Sunana Batra awesome! Lucius are an incredible band, unlike many of modern day artists who use all the auto tune and effects in the studio, these guys are amazing if not better live than on record. X

Beautiful song. Heard this on a trailer of Covert Affairs when Annie & Ryan were running for their lives. Such a fabulous song. Just heard it today!!!!
I like the way they give each other a look at the end of the song - "Yep, we nailed it"
If I could see them Live every week I'd be a happy man for the rest of my life. Love this band!!
Honnestly, where in any given heavens could we possibly hear something as sweet, pure and full of love as that ?
Two suns in the sunset brought me here. Talented young ladies!
Same, loving these girls
favorite part
Heard this at Oslo in London, and they came down in the middle of the crowd and stood right next to me. I literally cried tears of joy because it was so beautiful.
I can't wait to be shouting this song from the top of my lungs when I finally make it.
You’ll see ‘em soon I know it ♥
"To remain in a state of love, elevation and inner peace" = the reason why I keep listening to their songs.
who said that quote? it is beautiful!
God dammit! Absolute full body chills, one of those rare rare bands that are just even more magical live. I’ve been listening to this song for years and I still get the same feelings!

Saw them live on Thursday. No video does them justice on how amazing they are live. They put so much into their show! I was absolutely blown away.
Geniales ❤
I cannot get enough of Lucius. such talented singers and musicians. so beautiful
Tingles all over.
This is such a beautiful and honest song. Hard-working artists singing about their dreams, halfway to making them come true.
I didn't cry this time
This is my most favorite Lucius song. Listened to this on repeat during my move to California from Chicago. So good.
It's a nice song indeed.
Lucius... They should be so proud of this.
One of the best ever for me. Can't believe it's been almost 7 years...
I've seen them live 3 times and it is always worth the time, effort, money, and distance. Seriously the greatest intimate performers I have ever seen. Captivating. I'm excited for them to become stars, but I will also miss the small venues
I heard this song on a random Spotify playlist few years ago and still love it. The lyrics is just so beautiful and I almost burst out crying
I spent an hour looking for this, wouldn’t have found it if it wasn’t in a playlist
Hooked and hooked bad. Please continue to post more tunes. Some of the most original music to show up in a good long while. Raw, simple, real. Thanks
I ADORE this song and this band. Their songs evoke so much emotion.
This song always brings me to tears.
Best song ever love them so!!! One two three and even when you get tired just keep one foot in front of the other
