I feel like my cancer sun demands stability but my venus in gemini wants constant stimulation and variety/change doesn't always want the same things because I get bored very quickly and get distracted with other things

As someone with a Mercury, Venus and Mars in Gemini; I identify with most of what astrologers say about me. BUT I am SO antisocial and introverted! Literally no friends and I am physically uncomfortable when there’s too much people that I don’t know. As a Venus in Gemini, my need for "variety" has definitely manifested in me having different types of boyfriends and relationships in the early part of my dating life. My first boyfriend was long distance, having met on an online game. I had another online "boyfriend" who was a player. I had a real life boyfriend who was abusive and extremely possessive, and I left him with a restraining order to protect myself. I had another one who was a former classmate in high school who confessed to me and we started dating. That didn't work out, and so I met another one much older than me and he was very spiritual but we both knew we were meant for different paths. The next one I dated was after I had joined the Navy, he was an online businessman but he was quite loud and obnoxious. There was also a situation-ship that just kind of "happened" in a momentary passion. The next one was very sweet, practical, and loyal and handsome, and I realized he is the type of man I want to marry. The only problem was that he was five years younger than me and he got stationed in another state so we had no choice but to decide it wouldn't work out long term. After all those relationships, I have decided what kind of partner I will settle for. I'm more of a Venus in Taurus now in terms of how I choose a love interest and also how I love( I don't need to be stimulated all the time, it's nice to just be together and enjoy each other's company and loyalty). And I do prefer traditional romance; modern dating feels icky and inauthentic to me.
But rather, Gemini Venus for me indicates a need to experience different types of relationships before settling for the one that I decided: "That is it. I'm done exploring. I've found the one." But we Geminis still feel the need to be playful and flirty in a committed relationship. We like to act like we are still in the courting phase. It doesn't mean we expect you to do the same, it just means we will always be playful with you :)

Finally a different approach to Venus in Gemini ! I am a Taurus Sun with a Virgo Moon. That matters too. But yeah when I was young I was hell of promiscuous... now at almost 40 ready to settle down with one person.
I definitely feel seen. I have a Gemini Venus . Just discovered I’m Bi. I also have a Virgo moon, Taurus sun, and cancer rising/ mars. I have cheated in the past. But have found out what’s up with me that I do that. Which is hahaha going after what I was ‘expected’ to go after. I’m very committed to a fault when I’m finally in a relationship. With our love for good communication, rather than going behind a partners back to cheat, wouldn't it make more sense to just straight up talk with them about maybe considering different types of relationships like open ones, polyamory or exploring different people with your partner together when a Venus in Gemini feels they want something new within the relationship? I really don't get the stereotype of Venus in Gemini being cheaters, when there are so many different types and styles of relationships you can consider and to then say that even in the most open and honest relationship a Gemini would cheat, kind of doesn't make sense to me...
If open, good and strong communication is something the Venus in Gemini values most, than a Venus in Gemini cheating should only happen, when they don't feel like they are in a relationship where they can openly communicate. And I mean most relationships fail at communicating openly and clearly with each other. I think if your romantic and communication values align with a Venus in Gemini, there is no way they'd even consider cheating. It's like: Finally a person that can keep up with me, finally a person that understands me, finally a person that is interesting, because they themselves love to learn new things and have vast knowledge and show interest in the things I learn and want to share with them etc... why would I ever let them go? And best case scenario is you can talk about exploring different people/ relationships with them, if you want. But not every Venus in Gemini is going to need/ want more than one person.
Like you said, I think it makes a big difference how your Venus placement correlates to your Mars placement (is what you find attractive and what you value also something that excites you?), your moon sign (is what you find attractive and what you value also something that you need to feel emotionally fulfilled) and especially with Venus in Gemini your Mercury sign (when Venus in Gemini is all about loving variety and mental stimulation, how exactly does your brain work? Are you someone, that's more emotional/ stable/ loyal in your communication style or someone that likes playfulness in communication, being able to outwit someone or more inclined to not tell the truth in general, what are you interested in communicating about). I mean house placements are important in this too, but looking at the planets alone you gather a bigger picture of what a Venus sign actually looks like.
I myself are a Venus and Mars in Gemini, so I do have the fortune of having what I find attractive also excite me and no problem to know what I want, I have my Moon in Leo, which makes me want to have one person to have a relationship in where we mutually respect each other (and each other's intellect and creativity). If my heart falls in love with someone it is for a reason and doesn't wander. And with my Mercury in Cancer, I talk about my emotional needs and whats going on in my and my partners life. Through my communication I show my partner how much I care about them and if I feel that something is off, I do want to talk about it (in a private setting). I think my Mercury in Cancer makes me even more inclined to have only one partner, because opening up to someone and being emotionally vulnerable is actually quite a huge thing for me and to have to do that with multiple people... never ever, too much work and feels too unsafe. Having nice, creative, long and emotionally stimulating conversations is the most important thing for me and if I have that, there is really no need for me to even consider something/ someone else. And if I don't have that, I'd rather work on it or just not be in that relationship 🤷♀️

This is totally me. I happen to have venus in Gemini CONJUNCT THE SUN CONJUNCT THE NORTH NODE. So it is very me, but at the same time very challenging because my South node is with my ascendant with Uranus, so in this lifetime i have to go from chaos to... chaos? I feel very misunderstood and also because my North Node is conjunct Chiron 🤦. But this video has helped me a lot. I just have to be me...
