- Is it possible to restore or fix it this extremely rusty and damaged truck? Watch this real extreme restoration old metal tin toy car truck. Watch the video and see how i dealt with this restoration. Some parts were missing, some were unrepairable and some parts fell apart in my hands! But we made it up! This may very well be the most amazing restoration project I’ve seen on RUclips. In spite of the horrible condition it was in, he was able to restore a fair amount…and using parts that were unsalvageable to fix parts that were was a nice touch. It kept as much original material as possible under the circumstances.
What I'd like to know is how this man was able to dismantle it without damaging anything, in a single take, like he knew how it was built... how can he, when it's 90 years old?
Fascinating to have watched. I guess if you're able to do it for a real car it can be done for toy car as well.

Wow…I loved watching each piece restored. You’re AMAZING at reproducing TOYS. I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ if you do it for a living but I loved 🥰 every minor detail of the recreating of missing parts as well. The finishing touches while observing your painting was superb. Excellent job.

It's a bit annoying having to discard some deteriorated parts, but the final work is exceptional, it's give a new use to a toy that must have had so much history and made someone's childhood happy.
I’ve been watching a vlog on youtube where this guy rescue the Tally Ho sailing boat but he nearly had to replace all of what was left but kept faithful to the ships blueprints…so in the end we get to see what she looked like back in 1902
@@5cloudwalker Very interesting, this kind of hobby is really cool, it's a true way to preserve the history of these objects.
@@srchronotrigger after all the pieces that make up an object have been replaced, it can continue to be considered the same or it would become a different object from the initial one.
@@presidentecalderon6263 This is basicly the Ship of Theseus Paradox, when you replace all the parts of an object to the point of creating a new one you can't tell which is the original object. That's why I like restorations that change minimally the original pieces, to prevent the object from being de-characterized.

Whoa. I can't believe some of that metal cleaned up and polished. I like that trick of connecting the wheel to the drill to sand easier. Your body work is excellent. Using salvaged bits to fill missing body parts.

My very favourite part of restoration videos is the fabrication of replacements for missing parts. This video had that in abundance from the casting of the wheel to the completely new cage on the back of the truck. Thank-you for this!

Халтура, игрушка должна была быть отреставрированной, а "мастер" пошел по очень легкому пути. Вес присобаченной будки раз в пять больше веса всего авто. Колесо это вообще отдельная песня.

This is no ordinary restoration. This is a textbook for restoration
Absolutely fantastic restoration. Very few would have even attempted let alone made it look as wonderful as you did. The only thing I would have tried different is to match the blue paint it was originally painted to make it look more authentic. Otherwise, outstanding job!
That was my thoughts....looks like a ZZ Top dragster, the blue would have been fab to see, but still awesome.
