5th Gen had the closest feel to the original games, I'd say. The region was far away and new, and introduced the most Pokemon. BW2 were kinda overkill, but it was unique to have a sequel to a Pokemon game rather than another alternative version.
i love pokemon black 2 and white 2 back when fire red and leaf green gba era over and now the beginning for the 3ds now and the nintendo switch now if this game come back in 2021 what is there to be changed now? what kind of pokemon deserve mega evolution and pokeride and even exclusive z move and alolan forms now

Can't even begin to describe how I feel about this track and the other gen 5 ones (especially Unwavering Emotions and Driftveil City). I'd keep them on while I did random chores, while studying, reading, working, running, bathing - you name it. It's pretty much part of the BGM of my life.

This gen and gen 4 had like the best music in my opinion. Gen 5 was my first pokemon generation and was the generation I fell in love with mostly due to the music and also due to seeing the white movie as a kid which was my first time ever seeing pokemon. I love this generation and everything it has to offer and also gen 4.

First thing I thought of was the Azran theme, so good job there. And no, I am still waiting to play it. I love the heavy acoustic line! It just feels smooth to me, like it would be playing in a jazz club or a Layton game hehe. Fantastic work, buttface.

Gen VI really pales for me when compared to Gen V. BW2 are my favorite entries in the series, based on music, characters, content, feel, and Pokemon selection. It's a pretty ugly game graphically compared to Kalos, but the locations were actually interesting and vibrant, as opposed to all of Kalos' washed-out, bleh places. Seriously: Laverre and the routes east of it are the only places I actually like. Ambrette, Snowbelle, and Cyllage are decent, but are still crap compared to Village Bridge, Driftveil, Nimbasa, Virbank, Nacrene, Aspertia, Opelucid, Icirrus, Lacunosa, etc. And you could actually go into other players' games in Black and White! That was a great feature. All of Entralink was pretty sultry, actually.
For me, Gen VI got graphics (minus lag), breeding, and internet right. Everything else was a large step backwards.
Lieutenant Snow-Eagle Agreed, I'll also add that while 3D graphics are cool and all, most Pokemon models in XY/ORAS are bad. Delphox is a good example. Nice design but would have worked so much better with a good sprite rather than having it simply sitting here in its 3D model.

Your comment seemed to me much more of a comparison of Gen VI to Gen V, and less of the actual quality of the game. I won't argue that the Unova region's story is much better than Kalos's, but does that mean Kalos is inherently bad because its prior installment was better?
Ethan Salinas My comment was meant to be solely a comparison of Gens V and VI: whether the games are good or not is beyond its scope. However, I would say that, personally, Gen V is my favorite generation, and Gen VI is not my least favorite (Gen I is, for reasons that should be obvious). I can't even really qualify Gen VI until the next Kalso game(s) are released.

just because the game was in 3D doesn't make it graphically better. Just a different art style. As much as I love the 3D I really hope they go back at some point and make another game in 2D, maybe like a reverse remake where they make XY and SM into 2D games. I don't really like either of those games but it'd still be cool.

Unova was based on New York and as such had a lot of jazz in the soundtrack to represent the musical culture, which really made places feel like they were part of a world with it's own culture.
