This is the Aussie Vocal Coach Minor Key Vocal Warm Up. This warmup will consist of 5 singing exercises to gently stretch your voice. Remember the point of a warm up is to prime your voice so it can perform at its best. Don't sing outside of your comfortable range.

Question: what should I do when it is getting to high for me and I'm straining : switch into head voice or switch to the lower octave ?

I think you should wait till it returns to your range. Not sure if it's helpful to work your head voice then or go an octave Down. Makes sense somehow but I can't tell if it would take away from the efficiency and the focus of what your working on. I'd choose a head voice video to practice head voice. But I'm not a vocal coach :) in his other videos he says if you feel strain, wait till it comes back :)
