FINALLY a drum library with 4 rack toms!! And everything sounds so good! 🤘
I feel your relief haha! Thanks!
The attention to workflow here is such an amazing aspect - brilliant stuff
Just got this yesterday! Excited to dive into it and use it on new material! Sounds great!
I'd love to see you write a riff, and watch your process on crafting the drums to match said riff. Incredible product. I currently use EZdrummer and when I plug my Ekit via usb, it is ready to rock and I basically play through EZD. Would this react the same?
just purchased! Sounds SO KILLER Josh thanks for creating such an inspiring product! Will be using this like CRAZY! 💙from🇨🇦
Been digging into these for the last couple days and it's bonkers how good they sound
Bought this within hours of its release.. it's sick!!!
Awesome. Glad you're enjoying it!
One of the best kits out there!
Just bought this but I'm confused if there's any need to apply parallel compression and/or bus compression on this plugin?
Nope! Every demo Josh has made is just the plugin, no post processing. Any adjustments were done in the plugin.
Well I JUST bought the GGD Brutal kit and it looks like I apparently need another library. Thank god for Overtime pay last week hahaha. Sick job bro!
Haha! Appreciate it
Same! Have you picked this kit up yet? It looks like a no brainer
@@S1L3NTD34TH I did and it's now the kit I'm using for everything. It's stupidly good
Bought the pack and it sounds amazing.....Is there a drum map for Cubase?
is there any trial version?
Hey is there maybe a manual where I can find which velocities are sampled for each elements, mostly for kick and snare? Or is it mentioned somewhere, cuz I cant find it and it would be cool to have that information, still I use tcis in all my mixes since I bought this :D
This is such a great kit
Out of curiosity, Josh - is the guru & qdrum kits the same as the ones Nolly sampled for the ggd modern and massive library?
Are there any midi beats with this? Having a jump off point is always nice.
There are yeah. They're in the 'groove' section
Sounds cool - Got this being a complete drum noob and only really able to use stuff like EZDrummer, it does sound much better but as the name suggests, nowhere near as intuitive.
For example - core patterns - I can't seem to drag and drop them onto my DAW? All it lets me do is click play and it plays a full track? Would be good to do a more NOOB friendly video as i'm sure i'm not the only one
I'm looking for a kit with that big Cult of Luna style crash ride sound. Listening to the samples it doesn't sound like this will go in that direction, is that right? Sounds awesome for other styles though.
I just bought this kit, and you can stretch the processing pretty far. Not sure if it'll do what you're looking for, but the videos from MDL Tone definitely doesn't show off what you can do.
Do the closed / tight / Pedal hat articulations mute Open1 and Open2 ?
Are there groove packs included with the kit?
Otherwise this thing is 🔥
There are yeah. Go to the 'grooves' tab
Gonna buy them asap and compare with my go-to Krimh Drums. ‘Cause now no other drum sim library ain’t even close to Krimh Drums.
Have you made a comparison max?
@@ToniHennig in a several days I will
@@maxmolodtsov Looking forward to your thoughts as I love Krihm drums. Incredible.
@@MoreMeRecording yea, I literally tried almost all existing drum libs throughout the years. Some are ok, some are ridiculously bad, some are good. And then you have Krimh Drums - meticulously recorded by genius Jens Bogren and performed by one of the most talented drummers out there. The revolutionary bells and whistles like “Anti machine-gun” option is a game-changer. Also you have one floor tom on the right that adds tons of character to drum fills when you wanna make an epic bombastic effect. Also on my channel you can watch some reviews I did of some drum libs
Hey josh, will there be midi grooves added to the library, maybe via update?
There are midi grooves already included. Its in the ‘grooves’ section
Hello Josh ! Thank you for the work, you talk about wanting everything without multi output but there is no compressor in this?
All sounds are pre-processed and mix ready. So compression has already been applied
@@MDLToneThank you !
Please update with a flam snare hit?
Just flam with midi notes. It allows you to control how it sounds more and isn't hard to program.
Is there a documentation? Couldn't find one in my downloads
Only thing I don’t see is a way to control the room and overhead sound levels on the toms
I’m really bad about endless tweaking with SD3 and this might be a good way to keep it simple. But I think having that option for adjusting the room and OH levels on the toms wouldn’t be overkill
Watch this in depth video ^ It's all explained in here.
Click on 'Toms' and then click on 'Overhead' or 'Room' mixers on the right of the GUI. Same applies for mixing cymbal levels.
What does the env filter do? Maybe I wasn't paying attention
Think of it like your standard ADSR envelope.
Does anyone know how to get multi-out routing on here?
I'll make a video on that today to have out real soon! It's the same as most other Kontakt libraries though but I'll get on up soon!
@@MDLTone Thanks, Josh!
