Excellent work. A good example of how a Category S car shouldn’t always be a scary purchase for a customer so long as they can see the original damage against the eventual repair. I had a similar Category S Ibiza and it had no real structural damage behind a lightly damaged passenger side front wing other than a slightly bent (by 5-10mm) bracket that held the windscreen wash bottle in place. Bent it back quite easily (with a G-clamp) but I guess that because the bracket was spot welded to the inner wing then it gets classed as ‘structural damage’. Enjoyed the video.
thankyou gentlemen,WOW what a smashing job youve made of the seat, and Paul donating the wheels and tyres is a very decent and kind gesture,🙏👏👏,see you in the next one,👍
I remeber once trying to pop off a merc door card on a d reg car , kept thinking why wont this come off . Turns out the door card came off by pulling it up and refit push in and down . Mullered that door pannel had to order the customer a new one 😂😂, i was very young and inexperienced then .
@Home Built its at garage having been motd , need to get it back and get it cleaned and give it a run out so I will give you a shout. I am going to get it's airbag recall done then sell it as not getting used
Brilliant Video guys really enjoyed this one your both doing a great job as always 👍👍 Plenty of cars to work on and they are coming together well . Mercedes will be a nice car to keep for a while and get the Micra all set up for the big drive in September . 👍👏❤
Merc is looking good Steven / Charlie, without doubt the Seat is a winner . Would be fab to pick an easy repair like this up once a month. Use Meguiars ultimate myself great stuff.
@@HomeBuilt sourcing parts usually the most time consuming avoid doing oddball cars those are a nightmare to get bits for we had a vxr that took us ages to get bumper for
It’s special alright 🤣 6000rpm up a slip road to hit 50mph 😂 it’s fine in the flat bits but we live in the hills and we are heading over the Pyrenees on the rally so I’m thinking manual would be better. I’ll keep the Auto box for the future if I ever sell it.
Hello guys, was a pleasure meeting you and charlie , hope the wheels fit , if not get an E class 😂😂😂

We usually take about 3 days to do a Copart car but thats including paint.
That’s good going

Someone left their wallet on the centre console of the Mercedes
That’s mine 😂 it’s empty so don’t have any issues leaving it around 🤣🤣🤣
Cat S cars always need a new mot test
Yes mate
I don't think the air bag would have gone off because the car must have been stationary.
It was, with the key off as well.
@@HomeBuilt Gee
Hi guys, why on earth would you want to change the Micra from automatic to manual 😮, I think it’s special just the way it is.😊

Yeah, the manual would be much better in that regard.😎👍👍👍🔥
Can i ask how did the small front glass come out .
You take the A pillar trim of the inside and there are 3 8mm nuts that you need to remove then the window pops out.
Thanks for watching.
@@HomeBuilt ah like the last of the cavaliers ect .
You need to get microphones on as sometimes can't hear what your saying properly
Looking into some mic's but they are super expensive for what they are. We will be sorting something soon though.
Got to be still £3995 on a cat s
