A very nice overview of the Moray coast. As a native of Lossiemouth growing up I can only agree the coastline offers many beautiful views and settings for photography as well as tourism. A wee bit of a pity you didn’t manage to stretch the end point across the River Findhorn to include The Cullen sands, which are quite unique and offer fantastic views across the Moray Firth to the north. However, I do think you missed a great opportunity to showcase the coastline by not including your often mentioned sunrise and sunset photo opportunities in this video, although I know you’ve made other videos that do! Anywhere along the coast with the right conditions and at different seasons these can be truly superb. Maybe an idea for a future video, just a portfolio of best sunrises and sunsets along the same coastline?
Kim, amazingly well done! The production values are so high it seems like a pilot that I might be watching on the BBC. Great work! I look forward to the series.
Your previous V-logs inspired a family visit to the Moray coastline last August - and we loved it! We were staying in Drumnadrochit, so a good drive, but we stopped off and explored 6 of your top 10, leaving others for next time! Thanks, Kim. A fabulous video highlighting teh strengths of this coastline that you know so well :)
Great guide, Kim! A good example of how much your vlogging has progressed from your very first vlogs. This very well captured, narrated and edited. Excellent work.
Nostalgia and high emotion, accompanied while watching this one, Kim. I am so familiar with this coastline and it's outstanding villages. I lived at Findhorn for 5 years while serving in the RAF at RAF KInloss (1965-70), as an aircraft fitter on Shackleton Mk3-Phase3. Of course RAF kinloss has moved to Lossie since then so I didn't get a chance to visit. we had a wee hoosie (Rose cottage) right on the foreshore. On my last visit in 2010-11, I found that it had been converted to an antique shop. I also visited Kinloss Abbey to pay my respect to those killed when one of our aircraft crashed at Glenfinnan on it's way to Ballykelly (Dec., 1967). Such a shattering event for all and perhaps, to some degree greater for those of us who attended the crash site, immediately after, and were pallbearers at their funeral. So here I am, waffling on again but your dialogue and images seem to bring it out in me. Thank you for all you do. I love every video.
What a very well.made and put together video perfect with loads of info. Please can I have a list of these places I'll come up and do the coast in my van.
I stay along the coast in Nairn .... You have certainly encouraged me to travel further east . Portsoy is my favorite town on the east coast . The architecture is sublime ... Thank you for this really well made production , it really shows off the moray coastline
Kim - I hope you appreciate that you live in such a beautiful and photogenic country. Scotland is definitely on my bucket list for travel! Your videos are always gorgeous but this one was exceptional.
Found this very helpful on our trip to the highlands this last two weeks. Was great to meet you in Lossiemouth today & very good of you to spend time talking to us. Excellent videos. 👍
Kim, this is a great blend of travel and photo log. Your production quality has really improved over the past few months. Keep up the great work. By the way, I traveled to Scotland this year because I really liked some of the places in your videos..
Thank you Kim for your excellent and informative video! I have just returned from Carrbridge and wish I had seen this video before I went. I'll be back 🙂
Great video Kim. I am visiting the Moray coast in September and you have obviously provided lot of information on the coast through the video. Hope to visit at least 4-5 places, keep doing these sort of videos.
What a beautiful country! You’re so fortunate. Thank you for sharing it. Maybe some day I can visit it and you. Good job in presenting your homeland....
I have only just found your channel and am finding it fascinating. I am an amateur photographer so find it very helpful. I am also planning on moving to Scotland and am now considering areas you have highlighted which I hadn't given much thought to before. Thank you so much for such excellent videos. I hope that I will be in a position to attend your workshop sometime in the near future.
Thank you very much and welcome to the journey Jayne. Wishing you all the best with your move to Scotland. There is so many amazing places to choose from!
If I had the time and the money, my wife and I would go! Looks amazing. Was in the US Air Force in the early 80's stationed just outside of Oxford UK and I LOVED the UK.
What a nice video on the area. I'm so glad I watched it. My wife and I are moving back to Scotland after living in Canada for past 11 years. We are looking at Forres as a possible place to live. So this was very informative for us. We are also both wanting to get into photography also. So seeing what local stuff is around is great. Thanks.
@@kimgrantphotography As a beginner, what camera would you advise. I I have a good eye of seeing things, but not a massive tech guy. But willing to put the effort to learn. I also enjoy making video also (mainly on a phone).
Absolutely superb Kim! I might just come up this way for a wee break between finishing my job and starting my new one in a couple of weeks! I have been dithering about what to do to make the most of my week off (photographically) and I think you've made my decision much easier! brilliant idea and look forward to more of these.
Excellent video Kim 👏🏻 I’m heading there on Saturday morning from Newcastle to see my parents. I love Spey Bay, Cullen and also Port Soy. Sadly it’s only for 1 night but I’ll be up there for longer in the summer. Can’t wait😀
Well that’s certainly been added to my must visit list plus while it’s obviously not your genre RAF Lossiemouth is certainly worth a visit for those like me who love Aviation photography.
Hi Kim, this is a fantastic piece of work. The blend of wonderful photography and helpful, informative narrative is just perfect. It must have taken you ages to work on and edit. There are big production companies out there that would struggle to make something as good as this. You should be very proud. Many congratulations, best wishes, David :-)
Wow thank you very much David. Yes - it took 4 days to film and a further 4 to edit. Really want to make this into a series but it will require A LOT of work. I really enjoyed it though and learnt a lot of new video editing skills through doing it. Have filmed some of episode two so fingers crossed it takes off 🤞
@@kimgrantphotography It's a great idea for a series Kim. I'm really looking forward to seeing the second one and if you'd like a guide for Edinburgh and/or the Lothians please don't hesitate to get in touch. It'd be a pleasure to show you all my favourite locations. Warmest best wishes, David

Thanks Roy. The coast can be great all year round. Scottish weather can be very unpredictable but probably the spring to late summer when days are longer and evening walks are easier 🙂
