This song hits different now. So many MCR fans grew up and literally became "kids from yesterday." :')
MCR music is always known to be ahead of time. I think when they made Danger Days they DID plan to play it for us in 2019.

I just looked up some things about the song because apparently I want to cry, and apparently in the lyric booklet Mikey wrote about how this song allows him to reflect on his entire life. Now this song was created and played in the time of Danger Days, but look at what they’ve done now. I’m at the part in this video when they started chanting Mikey and I’m tearing up. BUT ANYWAY, they and the “kids from yesterday” in the audience are reflecting on some shared moments while these new kids, who never could have or never were able to see them before are singing the song together 😭 It broke me when this started playing after he asked who had never seen them before....
Hearing a room full of people on their late twenties and thirties singing “we are the kids from yesterday” got me sobbing 😭 I love this so much 🖤

Also just general aging. The intensity in his voice as he did before is really rough on the voice, along with other vises that weaken it too. So lowering the key and going for a fuller and more supported sound helps with preserving the voice (HINT HINT MAYBE).

Literally 2012 my new years resolution for 2013 was to finally see them one way or another I was like they're bound to go on tour again and I'll be there but 3 months later they break up and my resolution is still waiting to happen.
Same!! I got into them in late 2007 and was obsessed with them. They played pretty close to me and I found out about it the day after while reading the newspaper and I was SO upset I didn't know about it and missed it, then they never played that close again. I'm 25 now and the second I find out they're touring near me I will spend every penny on it lol

I went and seen twenty one pilots live, I've been an mcr fan since I was a kid, almost 30 now. I lost most of my voice at the twenty one pilots concert so I'd imagine I wouldn't be able to talk at all after going to their reunion show haha

helena e Frank has been touring solo since 2014 and he’s the main vocalist for his band. When I’ve seen him, he’s usually center stage and has to stay in front of the mic as he plays. It must’ve become a habit to just stay in place for him
