Walked past a bookstore in Brooklyn with a sign that proudly read "Second Largest Bookstore in the U.S." this former Portlander knows who is number 1. Marakesh and Voodoo doughnuts 2 of my fave spots. Love this! 🤓

Never done the full dinner. I recall their chicken and apricot dish being excellent though and they used to have belly dancers occasionally on the weekends!

The room is beautiful. Totally get the challenge of leaving a comfy room when its cold outside, That happened to us in Rome we ended up walking till around 2 am :). Love the vlog and your energy guys. I smiled all through.

Gotta admit, I’m one of those people who doesn’t understand the appeal of Voodoo Donuts and this is coming from someone who rates an 8 on the susceptibility scale, but even I can’t stomach sugary cereal on top of my sugary donut.
I’ve often wondered what The Rose hotel was like on the inside. Thanks for the peek!
yeah the donuts really are alot, I dont think I could stumic one now! hahah 5 months no sugar or flour and feeling good! ;) If you ever need a fun place to stay in Portland, we loved The Rose hotel! It was a great location and the free bike rentals were so fun!
