I grew up in the 70's and early 80's. These all bring back good memories of getting up on Saturday morning, eating breakfast, and watching cartoons before getting on our bikes and heading off till dark. I'm blessed to have grown up in those time instead of today.

Getting up so early picking out your box of cereal that you were going to take in front of the TV and then you went there and you waited till TV came on because in those days TV was not on 24hr/day. Depending on how many siblings do you have you had to get up early in my house to get the exact cereal that you liked. (Or at least the one that all of the marshmallows or whatever the good part in them wasn't picked out) 😆
I was born in 1960. Waking up early on Saturday morning as a child was one of my favorite things to do. My parents would be sleeping in from whatever they did that was so tiring downtown on Friday night. I would quietly go to the kitchen and get my cereal and milk and turn on the tv quietly for a few hours of diversion from an otherwise unhappy childhood. My parents were at their best behavior when they were passed out... Cartoons (and 60's to early 70's sitcoms) helped keep me from turning into my parents. My kids and grandkids have a much better life than I did growing up... and they're all old school cartoon watchers, lol!
You just told my story as well. I am so happy that the deep dysfunction from my drunken parents with my childhood was spent being afraid of my father and being so ashamed because of my mother's behavior ended with me. Saturday for me was a reprieve with watching cartoons and then riding out with my bicycle including playing baseball or basketball up on the school grounds with some of the local kids. Saturday morning would kick off with The Adventures Of Superman at 6:30 am and Looney Tunes at 9:00 plus all tge others, Johnny Quest etc....
Being born in 1971 it was the best of both world, I keep passing along these classic cartoons to my niece for hopefully my great nephew to enjoy someday. ❤😊
My husband was born in 71, myself in 73 - I really wish our son had the kind of childhood we had. 😊 And this was the Bill C. I knew, Fat Albert & my parents albums, "Why is there air"? etc., I was so shocked and hurt when I found out about him. Then I got extra angry at him for ruining my good memories, I liked watching Fat Albert. 😢
I was born in '63. This definitely stirs up fond memories of my childhood. Watching cartoons early Saturday morning. I would sit on these big black felt covered, wavy lounge chair eating Lucky Charms in my flannel nightgown..... Little brother in tow, doing everything I did. Good times indeed.🥰
The good olé days, I remember them well. If I knew then, what I know now, I would have embraced those years and cherished them more because the times that we are living in now are unimaginable !
It sounds like the past memories were filled with good happy times. If you knew then what you know now. Maybe your memories would not be a joyous. Did you wonder too if flying cars out of brief cases would ever happen?
Where does the time go people. We were children watching this without cares. I miss these times, but nothing stays the same… so… just glad we got them. 😌
I’m instantly back in 1973, love some Fat Albert it was the last cartoon on at 11 then it was time to have lunch and haul ass on the bikes, great times.
Born late in ‘58. My favorite was The Pink Panther. He was very popular as a warmup before movies back in the day. That was fun. You had to think a little more, and be involved because of the minimal amount of words used. Then anything with Foghorn Leghorn… just hilarious stuff.

Growing up in the late 70s into the 80s I would watch Saturday morning cartoons with my Captain Crunch cereal. WOW... those were the days, weren't they? 🤓
Early mornings we get up about 5 o’clock in the morning on Saturday go downstairs turn on the TV when we got hungry we go into the kitchen find a huge huge block of white chocolate cut it with a knife. We’re about five years old cut as much as we wanted to eat went back to the TV and enjoyed it.
I’m a 1975 baby and waking up at 8 a.m. on a Saturday morning eating a bowl of Captain Crunch for breakfast watching these exact cartoons was priceless. You millennials don’t know what you missed.👍🏾 As an adult looking back some of these cartoons were kinda racist but as children we just looked at the fun. Not to make light of it, But innocents be the child.
Haven’t seen these in years! Saturday morning cartoons were there best! Wake up around 5:50am, run down the stairs into the kitchen, fight with my sisters over cereal, plop down in front of the tv, fight with my sisters again over space and then complete silence for a few hours just glued to the tv!
Just remember to take that list of stock closings, sports results and winning lottery numbers with you. Be careful with your football picks, you don't want to draw unnecessary attention. Keep your bets low, then start investing in the Dow Jones.
@@IAMJUDAH1 And watch out for the Butterfly Effect. Keep your profile low. Read "11-22-63" by Stephen King. Dig through the WSJ archives for the stock closings. There is a Penn State T-shirt that shows all the football wins Joe Paterno had on the back. There are probably other schools that have similar things. Since my time-travel device is not yet online, you should have enough time to do the research.
I feel totally blessed to be born in 1963 hell ya tough ass childhood real cartoons scraping and clawing to buy my own dirtbike and have to hide it so my mother didnt beat me for having it I could go on and on how much fun it was to mame yourself everyday and love it if I ever wore a helmet riding my pedal bike my friends would've beat me with it lol!!!
We weren't exactly poor ,but I don't know how my parents were able to get me that stingray bike in 1966 on Christmas, in millstone New Jersey. The banana seat ,high handle bars ,that big fat tire in the back that was all slick. That you rode around doing wheeleys on. Born 1962, so many memories! I went by Freddy when I was young so Freddy the Flute I identified . This has got to be the predecessor/inspiration or kernel of Pee Wee's Playhouse.
Forty years later, I was privileged to make a big bowl of Cap'n Crunch and sit down in the middle of the living room and watch The Wacky Races, just as I did in the fifth grade. Thank you Boomerang!

I Was born in the late 70s I would watch these cartoons everyday
I would like to thank you for bringing back a piece of a better and more secure time for me. I was born in 1972 and I always looked forward to Saturday's and a bowl of cereal. I can just taste my mom's buttermilk pancakes made from scratch.❤❤❤❤❤
It's great. So much nostalgia.
I was born in 1956 - this stuff is part of my DNA!😊
They don’t make cartoons like they used to! I’m so glad I grew up in the 70’s. Kids today missed out on great cartoons!
Growing up in the late 70s into the 80s I would watch Saturday morning cartoons with my Captain Crunch cereal.
WOW... those were the days, weren't they? 🤓
The sleestax were scarier than jaws and Micheal Myers out together to me .....oh the treasures of an 70z 80z childhood 😂😂
The ant and the Ardvark was my SHYT! 🤣
Seen some cartoons I for got all about awesome and brings back good memories!
😚💖
So good and not worried about today's bs . causing laughs for all from all walks of life
Haven’t seen these in years! Saturday morning cartoons were there best! Wake up around 5:50am, run down the stairs into the kitchen, fight with my sisters over cereal, plop down in front of the tv, fight with my sisters again over space and then complete silence for a few hours just glued to the tv!
Woody Woodpecker is coming to MeTV soon! I can't wait 😂
Born in 62 good old days .
Thanks. I miss these types of cartoons. Not a fan of the cartoons of today.
M-F 6-7 am MeTv Toonies. Saturdays a bit longer than an hour.
They have cartoons today ? Didn'trecognize it😂
I had a chance to look at these cartoons before school as a kid great time growing up ❤
Laff Olympics were my favorite 😂😊
i feel like a little kid in a big body.. best cartoons ever someone make a time machine so w can go back to the 80's.
Just remember to take that list of stock closings, sports results and winning lottery numbers with you. Be careful with your football picks, you don't want to draw unnecessary attention. Keep your bets low, then start investing in the Dow Jones.
Compile a list of stock closings, sports results and winning lottery numbers before you go
@@Edward-bd8iy shit i need that one book that biff stole from McFly in back to the future The Almanac Book...
Did you mean “maim”?
We weren't exactly poor ,but I don't know how my parents were able to get me that stingray bike in 1966 on Christmas, in millstone New Jersey. The banana seat ,high handle bars ,that big fat tire in the back that was all slick. That you rode around doing wheeleys on.
Just a thought 🤠🐴 from a cowboy from Scottsdale🏜 Arizona 🗽🇺🇸
@unclemartin7711
I LOVED Fat Albert, but barely ever could watch it because we never had cable growing up.
I'm in tears. Just wanna say thank you💯
Thanks for watching.
Brings back lots of memories, thanks! By chance, does anyone remember Speed Racer, or Sgt Sacto?

Touche' Turtle. And Funshine Saturday on ABC. The networks actually competed for Saturday morning ratings
Born 1962, so many memories! I went by Freddy when I was young so Freddy the Flute I identified .
This has got to be the predecessor/inspiration or kernel of Pee Wee's Playhouse.
This is what day cares should allow the babies to watch. This how creative comes from.
Great stuff, thank you. A 👍
for the original Johnny Quest too!
You bet! Thanks for watching.
I liked how we went from the prop-driven airplane to the jet(New Adventures) but the same three spears...
It is so funny how I hated getting up early for anything other than Saturday morning cartoons. 😂
the only moments that I knew true serenity. when all I knew fit in its place
I love these cartoons. I watched these as a kid and I remember really loving the Wacky Races!
Forty years later, I was privileged to make a big bowl of Cap'n Crunch and sit down in the middle of the living room and watch The Wacky Races, just as I did in the fifth grade. Thank you Boomerang!
1966 and I love cartoons. ❤️
😂 wow!! Wonderful memories good old days ❤
