    Cally, your enthusiasm and smiles show you are enjoying your flight instructions and experience as you move forward to your solo flight. Blessings to you.

    Kudos to your CFI for agreeing to be on camera. That is already a stressful job even without doing it for the world to see. Thanks both of you.

    Welcome to Watertown! ...though a little disappointed I didn't get to see you land here. :) Enjoy your training and don't worry about solo. It will be just like all other training flights, just nobody sitting next to you. Though I'd suggest you control the narrative of when, where, and what you'll do on your first solo all of which will put you "in the pilot seat" of your training.

    Cally, try to enjoy the experience.
    Let it all sing in. Don't rush.
    You'll solo when you are ready!
    Shalom!

    Ask the instructor to do another landing and take careful note of her speeds throughout. In particular, watch how she slows on approach. For your first solo, the aircraft will behave differently without the weight of your instructor onboard. With your usual over-the-threshold speed, you're going to float halfway down the runway before the Cessna is ready to land.
    My instructor was a heavy guy. When he got out for my solo, it felt like a completely different aircraft with completely different flight characteristics. It became nimble and wanted to fly, not land! I got really alone really fast as I bounced down the runway on my first solo landing.
    It's doable and you can do this.

      Thanks!! I have already soloed and you're right, it was totally different without my instructor but I mostly noticed on takeoff. Thanks for watching!

    I had never heard of Foggles before, what a great training aid. You seemed to be very comfortable just relying on your instruments, so great job on that! You’re getting there! 👍

    Anything feel strange flying with the fogles on?
    Vertigo or anything like that, or were you concentrating on the flying and instruments so much that you did not notice?

    • @AgAviationAdventures
      @AgAviationAdventures  Год назад +2

      Nope, not really! One thing that was nice about the foggle training is that I started to be able to feel a faster decent rate which has helped when just putting along at straight and level flight.
