Hey greetings from Canada! It was so great to meet you at the NAAA convention! My husband and I love your videos! Keep up the good work! Hope you have an awesome season in 2024.
That was really cool! Thanks for including us! Crop dusting, as it was referred to across the board in my youth, has come a long, long way. The technology applied to your field is amazing. I read a book about an old ag pilot from my neck of the woods who flew an old modified Stearman on pure dead reckoning. I thought the addition of pattern programming was cool, but now being able to change individual nozzle size from the cockpit during operation or the use of an automatic dry gate that works based on your location to the field? Cutting edge stuff!!! I hope y’all had a great time and trip. Stay safe!!!
Thanks for watching Rob!! So wild to see how far we've come - tech wise. Would be cool to have a Stearman, not so much for spraying though ;). Hope you are enjoying your winter!
Good God, things have changed from the late 70s. Here in California, Rice is a big deal, so dry applications was a must. The owner owned two AgCats. Spraying was herbicides only. Automatic spreader dump is crazy but the again we used flaggers needed to point the next run. GPS wasn't even heard of then. Turbines were very few, mostly P&W 450HP or 600HP. In my time there, I see wires cut, 1 big ass oak tree topped by one of the AgCats (Long funny story).Crunched the lower right wing, broke the brake line and ripped the spreader off the plane. How he didn't crash was a Miracle. Different pilot same AgCats fully loaded with seed only to not make the end and flipped it upside down. Like I said things have changed. I guess it's 45 plus years so. Glad to see this video. Oh yah you were in my state, crazy, homeless California.
i wish one day to be there, i'm brazilian and i'm taking flying lessons to get my private pilot license here in brazil, i really want to get all the other necessary licenses in the US, but i'm struggling to find an ag flight school wich accepts international students, maybe i'll need to contact each one of them by now, but i'd appreciate if you guys have any recommendation or idea for me to follow it'd help me a lot ty.
Good afternoon! I think you made a slight spelling boo-boo in your title. It's "peek" and not "peak". Peak is the high point of a mountain. A PEEK is a quick look at something. Anyways, Enjoy the convention.

Thank for saving me the $2000 to surrender attend the naaa seminar
Yeah it's expensive. One of the reasons we only go every 5 years or so.

Nice!! We're not really sure to be honest. I would just start calling around and asking what you need to get into the school.
Do you mean “peek”?
lol yes !! Thank you!
