Lakes (with little to no water because of the drought), having a car is a luxury most can’t afford anymore. Since the legalization of pot, whole neighborhoods smell like the stuff, and that doesn’t even include those driving while using … it’s always fun to follow them in traffic (that last part was sarcasm. It’s awful). There are definitely nice places in Fresno and Clovis but you have to be the wealthy elite to live there. I lived there for more than 13 years in a neighborhood that was okay moving in…but when I left, the police helicopter was overhead regularly and on two occasions I came out of my my home to SWAT canvassing the area with their guns drawn. I had to work more than one job to make ends meet (I have a college degree and had more than a decade of business/leadership and education experience). My job paid well, but cost of living was too much. Health care was poor here. Crime was rising everywhere. Some people actually like snow and rain … not realizing there will be weeks (not simply reaching 100) of 100+ weather is also a huge con especially when the state of California can’t keep the power on all the time and the cost of energy to keep a house cool in that heat is also a luxury many can’t afford. 🤷🏼‍♀️. How about the homeless issue? Homeless camps everywhere (including Woodward Park). Comparing to the state average for a house needs to take into consideration the rate of pay. Because living in Fresno is less than the big cities, the wage definitely reflects it… so it is comparable.

Read the comments...if you find Fresno and its inhabitants so distasteful...you probably don’t have the chops or nuts to live here much less thrive here. That was a rather swift overlook of diversity. Yes we are very diverse...and our diversity is packaged in the historical segregation of minorities into separate and unequal communities of people of color with its attendant hoods and Gang activity. The monied live well. Racial tensions are rising and I expect an horrific confrontation in the near future because of Fresno’s storied propensities for violence. But it’s home... I suppose I could afford to live anywhere but there is this thing called Tierra here, and another called Familia, and another called Homie...you get the point. Bien Venidos and keeping it real.

@@user-ov1ep5rf2l of course it's nice, but the sad thing is people like me can't even walk the neighborhoods without having the cops called on us. It's just scary. I'd rather walk the whole Kings canyon and Belmont area at night. I'd feel safer.

Cost of living is Rising property taxes are uncomfortable, Fresno is Flooded With Cheap inexpensive Labor from South of the Border Rents are High compared to Wage Compensation, Immigrants are Represented quite well Here! POVERTY POVERTY POVERTY! Very Hot uncomfortable Summers Poor air Quality Very bad for Asthma and Bronchitis Sufferers ! The thing I like about Fresno is Retail Shopping and Thrift Store Shopping Yard and Estate Sales ! Not much to offer Job Seekers who want Jobs other than Retail Restraunts Medical and Education Work! I hope to relocate from Fresno soon ! God Bless those who live Here,Homeless numbers are very High Property Vandalism and Theft is High ! These Women underestimate Road Traffic at times! Very cool video Sincerely Thomas Raymond.

    Pros:
    Low/ no traffic.
Cost of living cheaper compare to LA/SF.
Job opportunities (Because everyone leave Fresno. You guess why they leave).
    Cons:
it's Fres NO. It is not good.
It's either very hot (116) or very cold, or smoky because of fires.
It is very boring compare to cities like LA/SF.
Weather unhealthy most of the times.
    Full of potholes.
Dangerous (High crime rate). Yes it is safer than Detroit, LA, SF. but it is not considered a safe city at all.

I think that the city of LA is way much better than Fresno even though Fresno and LA are 2 cities far apart as we are located in the South and they are in the North Central Valley.
All Fresno has is nothing much but dirt as for us in LA we have a lot of high rise buildings and a larger population of millions of people living there

We have a lower crimerate than LA, we are a big town but with the feel of a small college town, Our traffic isn’t so bad, and there are really noce parts of town if you go to north Fresno or east Clovis.

However, I was expecting to see high rise taller buildings skyscrapers in Downtown Fresno like the ones in Downtown LA and New York City
