    Near and dear to my heart, we sang this anthem during our misspent school year of 1973 in the boys room while we smoked, ha.

    I was so fortunate. After helping set up drums and sound, these cats invited me to play harmonica for 2 songs. Ottawa Park. I was 15 years old. Thanks. Great upload..

    I was 7 in 1972 and still remember how big a hit this song was!! This was a mamoth of a hit and if I had to be in a one hit wonder band, this song would be fine with me!

    • @razzledcroaker3678
      @razzledcroaker3678 5 лет назад +3

      Check out the rest of their catalogue if you can. Talent-wise, as far from a one hit wonder as you can get. Brilliantly fun and raucous albums with a perfect mix of blistering covers and original material. Yeah! and School Punks in particular are easily two of the greatest boogie rock albums ever recorded.

    They recall that era well - and a timeless classic of a tune. Prehistoric Punk, perhaps. Was a time when bands were moving away from the hippie stuff.

    Had this as a kid on a K-Tel record. The second half of the guitar solo (from 2:15 on) is so perfect for the song...

    When I was in 9th grade way back in 1976 our teacher gave his different classes the assignment to go out and create a project by filming and or taking photographs and choosing a song to put with it.Smokin In The Boys Room was ours we won the competition with our little video we even got the principal involved coming into the Boys Room with his paddle raised above his head pretending to catch us Smoking . This was 5 years before MTV hit The airwaves. I sure wished I would have known you could make a lucrative career out of that kinda of thing.
