The big difference between old gen & new gen versions of the game for the end user that isn’t performance related is new gen only gets the build a stadium feature. That stadium can be used in the online Diamond Dynasty (MUT/My Team equivalent) mode, as long as you keep the stadium within certain guidelines.

I dont think the fps drop on xbox is an engine issue, since its also faster on one x than ps4 pro, what this game shows is what weve seen already in most games ps5 is generally faster than series x on rasterised graphics, polygons, textures, alpha particles and what not.
PS5 is Holding back the performance advantages of Series X. These are Sony Developers, so they won’t and probably can not further develop the game higher on Series X then what the PS5 configuration is able to do due to contractual Sony obligations. It’s totally comparing apples and oranges. We all know this game can fully be optimized way better on Series X than PS5. It’s truly a dishonest justice to us gamers especially on Series X platform.
The game is 4k running with an unlocked framerate across all versions...lol at "holding back" with an UNLOCKED framerate? 60FPS is the only limit but XSX can't maintain that so...where's the holding part? You Can't fix stupid.

Yeah I may be an Xbox fanboy but if there's anything holding back the performance on Xbox, I highly doubt it would be Sony intentionally doing it. It'd most likely be due to, yknow, Sony developing it? Since they wouldn't exactly be used to developing on the Xbox, it's not hard to believe they simply don't know how to squeeze as much power out of the XSX as, say, IO Interactive, who made Hitman 3 which runs better on XSX. And even then it's still so early in the generation to really tell which case will be the norm - whether PS5, or XSX, will generally run multiplats better. Hitman 3 could be the start of XSX running more games better or it could just be an anomaly, things still aren't very clear.

The funny thing about this game is that you can also play the PS4 version on PS5 at 4k/mostly 60 fps. You just won't get the haptic feedback or stadium creator. I know of some people, and I might start doing it myself, who are starting to do this simply because they are sick of seeing opponents' horrible custom stadiums in online play.

For a few seconds I thought I was on National Geographic, narrating how a hungry Xbox was preying on an unaware PlayStation
The big difference between old gen & new gen versions of the game for the end user that isn’t performance related is new gen only gets the build a stadium feature.
That stadium can be used in the online Diamond Dynasty (MUT/My Team equivalent) mode, as long as you keep the stadium within certain guidelines.
Not gonna lie, I kinda love seeing the playstation studio on xbox. It's cool to see xbox fans enjoy the quality ps studio games. I'm sure sony wouldn't have done this without the Mlb haha

@@ronnieradon PS5 GPU has a 20% higher triangles per second/rasterization peak and culling rate compared to XSX besides other advantages. 18% theoretical compute lead of XSX is not everything contrary to current narrative. I personally don't consider XSX GPU to be more powerful. One should look at specs at a deeper level to understand the current situation. Assuming XSX is more powerful JUST because of it's slight GPU advantage and ignoring everything else is the reason why so many so called tech heads look dumb when these games keep coming out where PS5 has the advantage.
It was surprising to me that the game was exclusive in the first place. I am not a fan of sim baseball but I did try the game on Series X, Gamepass. Thought it was fine. As a multi-console gamer I say put the games on as many platforms as possible. Better for all gamers.
So... Does the game supports Quick Resume and VRR on Series X?

So Sony focused primarily on the Playstation versions, and just got Xbox up and running. But I don't get how a game that looks like that, perform so poorly across every console...
I mean Playstation is what they've known for over two decades. They are a smaller studio and went from developing for two consoles to seven in one year. PS4, Pro, PS5, XSX, XSS, X1X, XB1

Just a note, the vast majority of third party games are smaller on PS5 than Series X. PS5 uses Kraken compression and decompression technology and when used in conjunction with the PS5 I/O solution it allows for large texture files to occupy less space on the storage drive. I don't pretend to fully understand what or how any of that works but that explanation is taken straight from Mark Cerney's Road to PS5 presentation when he explained why Sony chose the smaller SSD memory and odd numbered allotment of storage memory.
