    Why do ppl hate on Chuck, he has a point. You can have all the drive in the world, but your body won't respond at some point. Aging happens to everyone. However, if Kobe recovers 100 percent, I could deff see him score 20, its Kobe, and this is coming from a Celtics fan

    Lol and he gone come back and play like Michael Jordan too... The one that played for the wizards Lollll... Charles Barkley is hilarious.. He's just being real with what he's seen over the years.. I have a lot of drive to run on a treadmill but my Damn acl repaired knee doesn't allow me to run like I was too or for as long as I want to... So he's right.. We can have all the drive in the world but we still operate this space suit of a body and it's in charge. It says when to go and when to stop!

      Doesn't matter how old he is it was only his 14th and 15th season plus takin Years off in between his career, kobe 17 straight and played threw way more injuries then mj and faced way more athletes in this era ,

    I don't believe Chuck is dissing. We all know Kobe is up there in age. Even those who go through the Kobe vs LeBron debates realize Kobe is not only way older than LeBron, but Kobe's has also played seven more seasons than LeBron as well. Shit, I hate that RIGHT NOW he doesn't drain those pump fake deep jumpers with 2 guys on him like he used to.
    Kobe has been playing since '96....picture that. Case in point, name a presently more heralded player from that draft class. No, not even 2 time MVP Steve Nash.

    I think that kobe will be back in six weeks, he might not be as good as he was before the Achilles tear but he will contribute. what the lakers need to do is to give him less playing time, we have to remember this is a 35 year old man that's fresh of an injury and just got another one. he can't just jump into the starting lineup and average 20 points.

    If MJ play at the age of 40 Kobe can do it too!!! It's just the way i see it, talented people like him and MJ for me the two greatest and skillful players that ever play this game don't matter how old they are they still going to be not what they used to be but the gonna be better than a lot of Young players that plays today's game. At very good exemple of that is MJ with the Wisards a guy who has 20 PPG at the age of 40

    You know I'm a big Charles fan but come on now, Kobe could have averaged 20 points easy last year. Check out the progression from the first couple of games to the later ones. Kenny was right when he said he didn't have rhythm- his passes weren't crisp, his handle was loose and his mid range was short. That will come in time. He'll be all right especially after some pre season action.

    kobe isn't gonna be the same player he used to be but for charles to say oh he wont even be able to average 20 a game, seriouslly? if kobe couldn't average 20 a game he'd retire honestly. kobe was averaging 27 ppg before he got hurt and he didn't even get time to knock the rust off for not playing or really even working out. kobe needs to get healthy for next season and then we will see what kinda player kobe can be

  • @tyyyify

Keep being honest Chuck, some of us are not spoiled brats who need to be coddled.

    Why does everyone rag on Jordan's time with the Wizards? His scoring there was still better than anyone else on the panel except Shaq, but if we're talking Shaq post-Lakers than everyone. Shaq and Chuck jumped around to a bunch of teams and looked old; Jordan still looked pretty damned good with Washington and was still a top5/top10 player/scorer.

    You know what,I've always had a bad feeling about Charles Barkley. He's always seemed to hate the Lakers and he's always attacked Kobe. I do not respect that. He seems jealous of him because he doesn't play anymore. Kobe is such an athlete, a magnificent athlete, and he deserves credit and respect for his drive and hard work, darn it!

    • @CocoXLarge
      @CocoXLarge 10 лет назад

      words cannot describe how deluded you are. nobody can tell the truth without being branded a hater anymore.

    • @angeladunn9764
      @angeladunn9764 10 лет назад +1

      I welcome free speech, as I believe we are all entitled to it. However, Kobe Bryant is an athlete like no other and all he needs is a little time to get back to his original state and he will once again be in championship form. The real issue the Lakers have is the team as a whole. The way the team is currently constructed with the coach and many of the players, won't cut it. But as Kobe is concerned, it's like Shaq said, Kobe is driven and this drive and determination is what has won championships. Not many others understand what that is. Phil Jackson taught his players that winning comes from within. It's not always about the physical.

    Yeah keep talkin charles...all yal doing is fueling his fire. And kenny wtf...i think u missed a lot of kobes games last season. It was his best athletic season since 2008...2009..
    In 2010..2011 athletic wise was his worst due to his right knee. But after germany happened...he looked like kobe from 2008. His shooting and more clearly...his ball handling was the best ive ever seen him at. He had some crazyy dunks last year getting great lift...his head was at the backboard for gods sake. At a point he was at 48....39 and 89 % ...clearly u guys didnt watch some games. In my opinion he was as good as bron last season. And mark my words he will def come back and average at least 22ppg. Being better then ever as steven a smith talked about..due to him training and rehabbing even more so for his achillies...hel be fine.

    bring in MELO!! Kobe can't put the Lakers on his shoulders at this point, he's too banged up,fear of re-injury..! I think he should of sat out at least til february!! Just like derrick rose, he came back like a mad man on a mission and tore the other knee!!! guys, ease back into the flow of basketball,play not to get hurt!! what i mean by that is kinda like driving with a mindset of watching out for non-driving shit turds behind the wheel(mainly illegals)..be a defensive driver! in this case, pace yourself,switch gears.one high gear players always get hurt....kobe be smart,not emotional man...geez.!

    Charles didn't have no Drive in his career. Saw him in his Philly days to his Suns and Rockets Days. He didn't take care of his body. He gained alot of weight. He had Hakeem and Pippen and he didnt win anything. He didnt want it bad enough. He was a average player in his days. The only thing that got him famous was TV and his fights with NBA players. This guy was the laughing stock in the NBA. He was a boy amongst Men in the mid 80s to late 90s.
