I can still remember his first game after the injury. Even thought I knew he was not going to be like before, I still had a hope that he could play like nothing happened.

Crazy thing is, if not for those other injuries, Kobe could have been as good as he used to be. He shot 49% on 2pt shots in the 6 games he played, but only 19% on 3pt shots; what this indicates is his shooting technique and scoring capability was still there -- 49% on 2pt shots is the 4th highest 2pt FG% in his entire career. He just needed some time to adjust to NBA pace and rhythm from distance.

It's such a shame we didn't get to see Kobe come back from just the achilles injury. Instead, the knee injury ended that 2014 season.
