EA is greedy,as we all know, and they see that they already have a Sims 4 playerbase with fat wallets and they think "why should we waste money and effort on a new game when we can keep creating endless content for Sims 4?". And I bet that spin-off game is going to be full of microtransactions...
God i feel old, i still remember getting the first sims all those years ago. I even found a way to get the dlc for free, you buy the first game and one of the dlc like vacation, i rented every other dlc from my local library and installed every single dlc, leaving the vacation dlc for last. Take back all the rented copies and just play on the vacation disc lol
Honestly, it’s weird for me. tS4 was my first Sims game and I ate it up, getting the Platinum on ps4. But once you and others got me inspired to try tS3 and tS2, it soured my feelings with tS4 experiencing firsthand how much the series had regressed. I haven’t touched tS4 for years now and this news just feels like a purgatory for the series. 💀
