- I gave it a go. The audio is kinda all over the place and my playing could be better but what the hell. Enjoy.
I did it with a lot of help from Boro and Vena. Their channel here: / @borovena4212
Ian D'sa is probably one of the most underrated guitarists EVER.
He makes some really cool riffs.
@@brennanmcdowell7428 i's say his riffs are mind-drillimg
@@brennanmcdowell7428 And he's the master of spoopy chords as well, lol. Good luck learning their songs by ear if you're not a musician.
@@nahailyenvanakkor that's true. Love them spoopy chords. If you like spoopy chords, another band that uses some weird ones is Stone Temple pilots!
YEAP
Ian really knows how to write some catchy as fuck riffs.
billy talent makes some damn tricky riffs.
one of my favorite is the Runnin across the tracks riff. so rocky.
+Briar Foley I've done it in volume 2 of the riffs :)
Ah, another fan of culture, hololive and billy talent I aprove
@@bubblewhales7431 i came back to this video on a whim, You have good taste, I would like to point out that I Still Adore Billy Talent, Been one of my favourite bands since i was like 12, im almost 29 now.
@@BeeFizzle lol billy talent is the bomb and calli is a pretty good rapper too, also I have billy talent covers and some hololive covers on my channel too so hers some advertising lol
Billy Talents 2003 album "Billy Talent" was the first album I listened to front to back. This band is extremely underrated. Ian D'Sa is even more underrated.
Ian dsa is one of my favorite guitarists. What a riff master
I'd say alongside John Frusciante he's one of the most innovative players in the genre in the 2000s
This Is How It Goes is one of my favorites. It's really fun to play.
+Eric LeJeune yep
Those riffs are so unique, love them!
Tears into Wine is such a good tune!
0:00 - Devil In A Midnight Mass
0:26 - Saint Veronika
0:51 - Tears Into Wine
1:20 - Pocketful Of Dreams
1:49 - Devil On My Shoulder
2:12 - Pins And Needles
2:33 - Surrender
2:54 - Viking Death March
3:28 - Fallen Leaves
4:03 - Definition Of Destiny
4:32 - Hanging By A Thread

5 of these were from Billy Talent III album - but it's so underrated.
Нет растед фром зэ Рэйн. Всё ясно. Автору 10 лет
Billy Talent has a ridiculous amount of awesome and original riffs, Ian is so underrated. awesome covers
My favorite Billy talent riffs, umm, ALL OF THEM!
Thanks for playing Defenition of Destiny. Seems like a lot of people forget about this song, but it's my personal favorite.
Thank you! I like that one as well :)
All of these riffs are a contribution to rock/punk rock. Such a unique guitar style
Even that he ain’t the super fast shredding player, he has such a fast chord play and a superb timing. Billy Talent is a pure gem. The voice and the guitar makes this bad so unique
I think my favorites are tears into wine and the Saint Veronika breakdown
All of Billy Talent is the best.........great Job
The opening for the navy song...
idk why but tears into wine makes me so nostalgic and sad idk why
surennnddddaaaaaahhhhhh

i am currently learning how to play while sparrows such a good song. all of billy talents songs are just so good! good job on these rifts sounds great
i think their songs from the early 2000s are so much better than the ones from 2010s. i even like the riffs much better
Ian is definitely a excellent guitarist. He gave to Billy talent the fundamental essences
Has everyone forgot about This Is How It Goes?
I've done it on the volume II :)
Cody111079 oh cool!
Cody111079 didn't watch it.
I was the one putting a thumbs up so the number would be 666, lifetime achievements right there
Thanks man! Hope it stays that way :D
Pins and Needles is my favorite one
You are really good man! Don't you think that band is super underrated? I seen them live in Austin, Texas back in like 2003 or so and I was mesmerized watching their guitarist play. Been a huge fan of that band since and I'm always introducing these guys to people I know. Not even one single time did anyone ever say they'd heard of them. Blows my mind. Ian is too good for people to not know about these guys.
He's two guitarists in one!
i wish more people would appreciate Billy Talent :(
Kingdom of Zod should be in here. But you still did really good. My personal favourite is Viking death march and you really did that riff well
For a second there I thought This Suffering wasn’t going to be on it and I was kinda bummed but saved one of the bests for last o see! Awesome job. Freaking A
Hey thanks for making this video, you've got such an accurate playstyle
+Mike Santo Thanks for your support man! :)
Tears into wine go all downpicking, the same pins and needles. Nice video.
the opening riff from This Suffering is just too good!
your devil on my shoulder is spot on
I'm happy to see my favorite at the end
I wasn't very good at playing that one back then. It almost didn't make the cut. But it's my favourite as well. I want to teach the whole song on this channel.
You did amazing on hanging by a thread especially.
Thanks, love that one! :)
awesome, you should play the whole "pins and needles", it is a one long riff
YES I WAS HOPING DEFINITION OF DESTINY WOULD BE ON HERE.
+Andres 1 I love that one, you're welcome :)
I've read your comments and requests and the vol.2 of riffs is up! Hope you like it! ruclips.net/video/2BLnB6LqP7c/видео.html
+Lucas Gaudett I actually thought I have spelt it incorrectly. Thanks :) I'm from Czech republic.
+Cody111079 *listening while eating Krumlov waffles* ^^
Tears into wine is sick!
I really like your guitar tone! :D
Where is White Sparrows >:( !!!
Pankujei Not among my favourites I'm afraid. I can't play it very well either. Awesome song though :)
+Cody111079 I can play it
+Cody111079 I can't either. Not sure what it is. It's one of my favorites and something with the timing makes it so hard for me to grasp.
Oh White Sparrows - my favourite from Billy Talent III. Such an emotional song.
@Ehiose Egbase Imagine being offended over a 5 years old comment which was answered by the artist already lol
go get a life
This needs more likes.
Sadly none of Billy Talent 1 ... and no prisoners of today T__T
i was so waiting for this suffering at the end i was happy it was there 😄
I'm actually doing a lesson on This Suffering soon. Stay tuned ;)
Dévil on my shoulder!
The stretches always kill me
Yes, it felt very unnatural to me at first, sometimes it even hurt but now I've been doing it for so long it became a habit of mine. Thankfully, I feel comfortable with them. So keep practicing!
Not a single one from Billy Talent 1
Dave Grohl's Beard love your nick xDD
wow! This was very Very good, you got a lot of talent :D really enjoyed this video
What about river below?!
best riff by far
let's talk about cut the curtains.
Let's talk about Prisoners of Today
let’s talk about this is how it goes
I am late to this party and have not finished the vid but the navy song
Standing in the reeeeiiiiigggggnnnnnn
i wish i had a devil on my shoulder so he could teach me that riff
You play really well, dude, nice job.
Just saying Viking Death March should sound a bit more aggressive but it was good.
Nothing to lose???????
Nice guitar. Also I love your playing, you're really good. I play guitar myself, but I'm by far not as good as you yet. Keep uploading, I like it. Oh and also, Fender Telecasters are awesome, but I've got a strat
Thank you :D I'd like a strat, awesome guitar
I have a home made 1968 Gibson flying-v and a 2010 gloss black start with wammy
strat*
you did amazing with all the riffs, i love your guitars tone and i know it can be a bitch to remake Ian's distortion and tone but you did it pretty well imo, good job
I fucking love cure for the enemy!
awesome. so cool you made this video.
very nice
amazing
Pretty awesome
Clean!
I love fallen leaves
HI! Guitar playing +97%, audio +12% DI BOX FTW
fallen leaves killed it
Love this
Pins & Needles!
This Suffering looks so tricky. :)
Yeah, I'm not happy with the version I'm playing in this :D Too messy still..
check out the version on Songsterr, it is good and I found it pretty easy to learn up to now(first day today->60% speed) even though I only play the guitar for 1.5 years
I wish I could play them^^ keep rocking :D
СУПЕР!
Amazing! Though Viking death march and Fallen leaves didn't sound quite right. Still amazing though
My favorite one is Rabbit down the hole :)
AWESOME!!!
something tells me you like the 3rd album! its my personal fav
Well, probably yes. My first big concert was their tour of the third album so it definitely has a speciál place in my heart.
@@Cody111079 glad to hear that man! Loved the video!
I swear to god, billy talent is so fucking hard to cover😭
It is. How long have you been playing?
Can someone tell me why Billy Talent feels different from everything else I leaned?
Nice! Well done!!
This is super dope! For how long have you been playing guitar now?
I guess I'm approaching 10 years pretty soon :) man, it flew by :D
Cody111079 That's amazing, I've been playing for 2 1/2 years now, it feels like I've only been playing for a month though. :D But I'm working on it!
Did (or perhaps do) you take lessons or are you self-taught?
I'm mostly self-taught but I took a few lessons a couple of years ago as I thought I wasn't progressing much. I learned mainly from watching my favourite players and listening (which I would recommend to everybody).
Good jop!
omment
b
nice!
Nice jod dude! I love billy talent but im not pretty good as you. congrats!
How do you get that tone from devil at a midnight mass? sounds killer
Jaco Theunissen That's the first positive thing I'm hearing about that tone :D Back then I had somewhat cheap gear so the tone is just Way Huge Swollen Pickle fuzz pedal.
Imo somes of those riffs should be played with the bridge pickup for more clarity. Very nice cover tho! :) Take a look at my recents cover
fallen leaves is pla yed rong in the beggining, but rest it's good
Bist WOW!
How long have you been playing? Nice work!
Excellent work, any chance you could provide us with your tabs?
Well, I mainly learn from live versions by the band so I'd recommend the same for you. Failing that I do look at ultimate guitar :)
Can you describe how you got the motion of your hands to look like this. Like FPS etc.
Hey, any chance you play the bass at all? Because billy talents bass lines are pretty incredible, but also under appreciated
I do actually, I'm about two weeks in :)
the crutch?
Lets see some of those shred guys write riffs like this!
So 3 was your favorite album?
Well I've got great memories tied to the III but musically I'd have to say II is better and more influental to me.
Cody111079 Nice. I posted that comment pretty early in the video where the majority of riffs you played were from III. Awesome job btw.
II and Afraid of Heights are my favorites, but they've all been amazing.
What kind of guitar is that? It looks like it has the body of a fender 72 delux and the neck of a telecaster.
I think it's the one I have - a Fender Squier Telecaster Deluxe
Where did you get the tabs for pocketful of dreams?
ANTI V15T he might have just listened and played what he thinks it is
Tabs please!!!!
dobre ty kámo :)
can you send the taps to me ?
Were are the tabs?
I'm here from the future to tell you I'm super pissed off none of your favourites are off the first album
