It's really not a setback for women as Heard says. Heard simply added the fact that males can be victims as much as females! So, many men are thankful that she came to the forefront to reveal how abusive she was. And the jury saw right through her.

I'm a woman that survived domestic violence in the hands of a narcissistic psychopath man, and watching the trial I was relieving my experience, Amber was the female versión of the man that perpetrated the horrible abuse I endured, Amber Heard has serious problems, and never expect her to admit that she has to change or accept that she's responsible, that's not going to happen, because that is part of the problem psychopaths have, congratulations to Johnny, the day finally came for him to show the world that men can be victims of abuse!
Same here, only I'm a man, and the woman was a borderline. (I've never understood the difference, other than men are generally diagnosed as narcissists and women as borderlines). Had a panic attack at a certain point in the famous tape because it was like I was reliving it all over again.
I saw my abusive ex husband in Amber too. They were 2 peas in the same pod and her behavior during the trial and testimony was very triggering.

I am so happy that Johnny Depp won this case. The jury made the right choice. This also feels like a personal victory because it exposes the injustice of a false restraining order: a law that is issued way too easily and is almost impossible to appeal and revoke. People are too quick to assume the worst without vetting the information nor the people making the allegations. They don’t think about the impact a restraining order and also false sexual assault allegations have on a person.
The fact that after alllll that, she is still crying victim, is disgusting. I'm so happy for Johnny Depp! I hope this helps men who are abused come forward and not be afraid.

Having been on JD's side, with an ex girlfriend who phisically abused me, but told all her friends that I was the abuser, making them hate me, I will pick JD's side every day. By the way, a couple of months later, my ex's friends catched up with her lies and stopped being friends with her in the long run. Just as happened with AH, she was all alone, with no real friends to support her during trial.
My faith in humanity is restored! I am a woman survivor and rooting for justice. These situations need to be judged on facts not gender! This whole case was an eye-opener for me... how difficult it is for men suffering in silence with abusive partners. How much harder it is for them to be believed when they speak up about domestic abuse. In many cultures men are shamed if they dare speak up about being abused by a female partner.
Hopefully more men that have been abused will have the courage to tell their truth now

I really sometimes have no idea what the heck some of the main stream media is watching that's why we have to take what they say with a grain of salt. As I watched this case I have never seen so much evidence against someone like it was against Amber. There were video tapes audio tapes and her continuous lies she lost this case in the first few weeks. The jury made the right decision and quite frankly it was not difficult if your searching for truth. JD has the support of most of the world and rightfully so no matter how main stream media tries to spin it we know the truth. I was not a JD fan, although I did watch some of his movies. I even found Amber very beautiful in Aquaman movie and I liked her. Until I followed the trial. Anyone with eyes knows that JD deserves to win this case. They would find little to none who would support Amber on this trial. This wasn't a case of domestic abuse, this was a case of maliciously abusing your rights to free speech.
It's refreshing to see comments from abuse survivors backing the court result. Many press articles would have you believe its a miscarriage of justice, and that abuse survivors are appalled by the result.

I'm so happy for Johnny Depp, it was clear he was the one who was physically abused. He only sued for defamation, the fact that she was the abuser and tried to ride on the coattails of true survivors is appalling. I wish our Senators/Congressman could act like this jury and do what is right and needed for the safety of our society, not for what is right for their power and pockets.

I myself, as a victim of domestic violence, will give my input. I just do not believe Amber Heard. I believe Johnny. I watched every second of this trial watching every single mannerism of both Amber and Johnny with an open mind. I feel like she was acting. I agree with the verdict. I believe that it is people like Amber Heard that make it hard and difficult for people that have actually been victims of domestic violence. It is people that lie about it that make it hard for the real survivors of domestic violence that come forth when it's actually true. I am unbelievably happy for Johnny Depp. I am so happy that the jury could see what I clearly see. No Johnny was not perfect, no one is. That he did not abuse Amber Heard, that it was the opposite way around. The biggest problem I had with Amber Heard's testimony is where she could never remember the sequence of events. My attack happened over 20 years ago and I can still remember the exact sequence of events. Anyone else I have talked to that this has happened to they have no problem remembering the sequence of events. It's easy to remember the truth. I think the reason she had a hard time remembering the sequence of events is because she just threw a bunch of stuff in there. Oh this happened and this happened and yeah I'm going to think that this happened too and I'm going to make up a bunch of stuff. That's why she can't remember the sequence of events.
What Amber Heard did was despicable. Thousands of genuine domestic abuse victims will be discouraged from coming forward now. This case can now be used as a precedent for a strong defense by the perpetrators of domestic violence.

All Amber Heard’s team had against Johnny was that he had a drug and alcohol problem and he used bad language. That does not make him an abuser. It’s interesting that one of your commentators kept saying that Amber Heard is the victim while completely ignoring the facts that came out of her own mouth in the recording where she admits to hitting him, where she belittles him, and etc. Can a man not be a victim of domestic abuse?
Hitting inanimate objects and yelling does not always equate to abuse but it can indicate complete frustration and trying to find a way to lash out, especially when someone won’t let you leave the physical location of an argument, as it was shown he tried to do on a regular basis. She (Heard) is a manipulator, and aggressor, and a cheater), her own words and the act she put on for the jury are a clear sign of that. Did Johnny Depp ever hit her? Possibly but if someone was continually belittling and hitting you, there is a point where you will snap. I’ve been in an abusive relationship where I was belittled, manipulated, and hit; the woman is not always the victim.

yeah wtf NBC, the host asked "what does it mean for victims of domestic abuse, women who decide to go forward" at 1:49:37. I thought Depp was the victim in this defamation case? This is not a case on domestic abuse, if anything, the jury actually decided that they do NOT trust Amber Heard's op-ed, which is about her going through domestic abuse. Me as a woman do not trust Heard, they're probably toxic to each other, but Heard admitted that she HIT Depp. There're also recordings and other evidence in this trial that shows Heard is more like the abuser.
The entire agenda for them is to shamelessly blame men and only men for issues surrounding every facet of life. Wether that’d be in relationships issues, social issues, political issues, economical issues and international issues. For NBC to admit that a man was a victim at the hands of a woman disputes their entire cause.

Let's also admire the jury's objectiveness. I would go fully pro-Johnny. The jury however maintained their objectivity and found Depp guilty of only of the three sentences being defamatory.

This was absolutely NOT a setback for DV victims. If anyone was actually reviewing the evidence, the ACTUAL victim (JD) was heard, believed, and received justice. Not all women are victims and not all men are perpetrators. In this case SHE was the abuser.
