Great vlog. Could you do something similar from asda or tesco to compare the prices please ? Also how many calories are you eating in a day ? Thank you 😀

Hi Jayne, thank you for watching! I will definitely consider comparison from at least one other store. I am generally having about 1500kcal per day but sometimes this can be less/more x

There is something good about just doing a week or part week of easy meals.... like you I love cooking but sometimes even I can't be bothered.
I had a busy week last week exhausted and sore this week but 3 night out well worth it.
It is to easy for me to slip into bad habit of missing meals ergo Breakfast will just do coffee, seldom do lunch and come Dinner to tired to cook so do a milky drink 🤦‍♀️
As I know that is a problem I always have chopped fruit and Greek Yogurt in fridge for Breakfast and to make me eat lunch homemade soup... Did a firey Butternut Squash for this week wow it has a kick.
I put all that I need for a Dinner in a bag in freezer for days like this week so literally just lift a bag out and everything there not only tasty but quick to cook and no thought required.....
I find the having to think what am I going to have a chore at times.
Our fishmonger always inventive he has done this week naked fishcakes with a creamy herb filling.... basically no bread crumbs so that is on menu tonight with steamed veg bags.... Quick and easy.
I will actually get to M&S, next week as have a appointment so will do a shop from them for treat nights.
    Take care 🥰💜x

Hi Dormouse, definitely! It has been quite liberating now having to buy it all, scan it, plan it and chop and cook it! I do look cooking but sometimes it is an extra stress or thing to do in your day that can leave you feeling a bit flat.
I totally understand how you feel regards moving into bad habits, it then leaves you feeling a bit out of sync and so planning is vital. Having some food set aside like Greek yogurt and fruit and soup is definitely a great way to keep on track!
The naked fish cakes sound fantastic! I hope you enjoyed them. Please let me know what you manage to pick up from M&S. I would strongly recommend the creamed spinach and creamy cabbage too. Both low in calories for what it is. I think the cabbage is 60kcal per half a tub and 145-150 for half a pack of spinach too. Yum yum! Thanks so much for watching and I hope you enjoyed my video ❤️

I really enjoy your vlogs, I too used to go to S.W. but could not believe the calories in some of their recipes. The only thing I would like to comment on is I have found that these meals which say two portions when you weigh each item it is often a higher weight than what is stated on the packet and therefore more calories. Have also found that with slices of bread too. It can be quite an eye opener.

Hi Maureen, thanks for watching! You are right, some of the meals can be a little higher as weights do vary but for me personally, I know I am making a better choice than the alternative which would be takeaway or binging. We have really enjoyed our food so far! Let me know if you have tried or aim to try any of the options discussed xx

Thanks for watching! We had the fish cakes tonight, my goodness - absolutely amazing. If you haven’t tried the garlic mushrooms, please do! They were ‘out of this world’ according to my husband, and I definitely agree. Only 111kcal for half the pack too which is fantastic. They tasted so luxurious xx
