I just saw the movie. All the scenes felt real. Tye Sheridan did an excellent job, not to mention Sean Penn, legend. Overall the movie was very entertaining. My respects to paramedics in real life.
Thank god. There’s only so many moments from Bringing Out The Dead that you can endlessly reenact before you just need new material.

Very dark and gritty paramedics thriller in the vein of Bringing out the Dead with Nicolas Cage 👍🏻

Feels like an amalgam of Martin Scorsese's "Bringing Out the Dead" (1999) and Antoine Fuqua's "Training Day" (200i) -- liking the cast, hope it is as good as this trailer.
Bringing out the dead at moment of humor and joy, this one is a long walk in hell. Bringing out the dead is better IMO but this one is good.
Overnights in NYC EMS, unless I see the “Cardiac Arrest” smoking a cigarette surrounded by NYPD and Sean Penn getting CD’d for getting food on a 10-100 it ain’t accurate enough for me 😂

That story line was depicted from the hardships of the 70s and 80s..I'm guessing..and was child.. Well done..
Ran into Sean Penn while he was doing ride alongs in preparation of this movie. I do this job curious to see how accurate it’ll be.
What was he like?
@@arcticzebras2888 I almost didn’t realize he was there until my coworker told me. He overheard us trying to confirm if it was him or just someone that looked like him and he broke the ice and greeted us. At the time we didn’t know he was shadowing the crew for a movie we thought he was with the patient they had, so we thought it was unprofessional to try to have a conversation with him incase he was there for that reason. He was quiet really just observant of how the crews interacted with each other and the nursing staff at the ED. I know the crew that he was shadowing and if they’re allowed to tell me about him I’ll ask.
Any idea how many hours or shifts he was riding? He really seemed to nail a lot of the mannerisms in the little bit of time he was shown in the trailer, hope he got enough time to really nail the roll.

We’ve had a couple cop shows ride in our area but never any celebrities that I recall.
@@casadilla111 I only saw him that one time so idk how many times he got on the bus. Also after I wrote the comment I changed to morning tour and the crew he was with was overnight I haven’t ran into them since so I haven’t been able to ask them more. At the very least he did 2 tours because other people from a different platoon (work schedule) saw him on a different day than I did.
I would actually see this in a theater.

I kinda liked the movie because of Sean Penn. Penn is by far one the greatest actors on the scene. However, IMHO This role was not for him. The young talented actor, Tye Sheridan, played a good role in the movie but also didn't kill it. The majority of the scene were unrealistic to say the least. The last scene where Cross went into the burning building to save a little girl was so idiotic, I had to laugh. There was no Fire chief on command, Cross walked into the building with no oxygen, found the girl semi-conscious and began treating her. That is not protocol. You're supposed to take the victim out of the burning building immediately. Just my 2... ⛑💣🙏🙏🥵💩
