The most important part of this scene was Benicios next line, "Go ahead and finish your dinner," followed by his long exhale of breath while he made himself comfortable. He showed him the pain that he felt when he lost his daughter, to see his family dead before him while he grieved. His desire was to watch him learn exactly how personal his loss was. Beautifully executed.

Benicio is an amazing underrated actor! Definitely one of the greats who doesn't get the accolades he deserves. When he portrayed Pablo Escobar in Paradise Lost, he even sounded like he was from Medellin Colombia. Benicio studies his characters on another level.
He is not under rated. Everyone knows about and feels his talent. It is undisputed. I like that he isn't in every darn movie out there but when he shows up, he chews up all that scenery quietly but without question.

To see him there is very powerful and strong, and in fear and loathing in las vegas he also plays well, crazy, fucked up...he can play any role. A great actor where many other actors can learn from.
The absolute most terrifying and defining thing in the scene is the fact that Alejandro's face expression did not change a bit, even his forehead wrinkles remained the same. This is a sign that this person is beyond feelings, it has reached the final destination of emotions' emptiness. However, when he leans forwards to say "Para me, si" I literally get the chills...
The fact that he kept him alive long enough to see his wife and kids get unalived before he bit the bullet himself was pure magic. Ruthless, brutal magic
The terror, disbelief, shock and dispair in his face when he saw his family executed in front of his eyes while he thought that they would "go for a walk" and that his family would still live on after his death..... such a great performance from the vilain....i think the best vilain ending in history of cinematography.....lots of emotions for 3 seconds....
This part shocked me the most out of the entire movie. For all reasons he actually showed mercy on his family for not having to suffer from it. Would not doubt this scene was mentioned the most from entire movie.
Sicario is one of those rare movies that takes full advantage of the pause, the silence, the building tension, and the ambient sounds of the scene. The creators didn't crowd the whole movie with filler garbage for dialogue or video cuts. Its honestly one of the few movies I watch on a regular basis. Absolutely spectacular.

Because if he did it would’ve made him feel guilt
@@isiahwilliams5273And also because it is not them who killed his daughter
Because he wanted to see the guy’s face go through it all. and he was locked on for any sudden move.
That might be his best work on this genre
He’s amazing. He nails absolutely everything he ever does
The Usual Suspects too? lol
Its funny. He even said "every night you have families killed and every night you dine, tonight is just another" he had already made up his choice, the man was too ignorant to understand what was going to unfold. The woman understood immediately that noone was walking away
Yeah always strikes me too, his arrogance makes him not realise he’s already dead
Ignorant isn’t the right word…oblivious makes more sense, but he knew it was coming. He’s not really ignorant to the ways of cold blooded murder…also that’s why he said not in front of the boys…he knew what was coming, because he would have done the same if the shoe was on the other foot
Still such underrated movie
As soon as his Wife heard him say that.... at that moment, she knew they were all dead.
They were dead the moment he entered the room.
@@jeffreysimms2318 no kidding? Seriously? Nah..... Ya think? 😏
@@jeffreysimms2318 I don't think so. If the cartel boss had apologized and asked for the lives of his children instead of being arrogant, the children would probably have survived. To say that beheading the wife and dissolving the daughter in acid was nothing personal that was his mistake. What worse he could not have said. His wife couldn't have saved it, but the children could.
@@e.350nah. Children grow up. Boys become men.
I watched the movie 2 weeks ago, but because of this scene I'm going to watch it again today.
The acting by the two boys was OUTSTANDING!!!
I just LOVE Benicio Del Torro as an actor, he is just awesome!!! 😎❤️
Benicio´s Eyes!!! A thousand words
Right!!!! Superb acting
ONCE OF THE GREATEST ACTORS AND PLACEMENT OF CHARACTER! ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER TOO
A bloody marvellous movie.
Benicio Del Toro in one of his best roles ever
Del Toro is a Gangsta!!!One of the best actors ever!!!
Thank you. I was trying to find who this Brad Pitt looking burnt copy is this guy.
No he's a lot more than a gangster he's a professional gangsta's make too many mistakes!..this guy's pure professional
Latin brad pitt
He did an great performance when he was very young in the James Bond movie, "Licence to kill" .
Benicio Del' Toro. Usual Suspect, and the Way of the Gun. 2 of my favorite Benicio movies. And NO, he is not related to the director
Didn't even give the man enough time to grieve..
This is what revenge looks like.
This whole movie is a gem. And this scene is perhaps the best in an already spectacular movie.
Benicio is an amazing underrated actor! Definitely one of the greats who doesn't get the accolades he deserves. When he portrayed Pablo Escobar in Paradise Lost, he even sounded like he was from Medellin Colombia. Benicio studies his characters on another level.
He did win an Oscar for Traffic.
He is not under rated. Everyone knows about and feels his talent. It is undisputed. I like that he isn't in every darn movie out there but when he shows up, he chews up all that scenery quietly but without question.
@@notevenalittle8363 I guess you're right, he picks really good specific roles.
Underrated is the most overrated word on RUclips.
@@beaverdeceiver5691 🤣😂 that's a good one!
You could cut the tension with a knife during this scene. This was the culmination of alot of work on Benicio's characters part, finally coming face to face with the monster that killed his family in one of the most brutal ways imaginable. I ❤ BDT, he's def one of my favorite actors.
Narco : not in front of my boys
Hit*man : "deletes the boys "
To see him there is very powerful and strong, and in fear and loathing in las vegas he also plays well, crazy, fucked up...he can play any role. A great actor where many other actors can learn from.
Revenge is a meal best served cold.
I like cold pizza n fried chicken
Name of the movie
Sicario 1 and 2 both straight 🔥
1 was better. 2 had a different director - not as well polished.
@@commercio3564I care to disagree, I think Sicario 2 was great in its own right
@@lucwijngaard8413 it was good, but it clearly lacked the artistic vision and devastating neoreaslistic subtle beauty of a villenueve film
He killed the boys to?
Can't wait for the grand finale!
One of the best films in the last 20 years and this is the scene that just makes your stomach tighten up.
I love Benicio Del Toro, and both of these movies.
Unalived isn’t a word.
@@SKa-tt9nmit is now!🤣
The terror, disbelief, shock and dispair in his face when he saw his family executed in front of his eyes while he thought that they would "go for a walk" and that his family would still live on after his death..... such a great performance from the vilain....i think the best vilain ending in history of cinematography.....lots of emotions for 3 seconds....
Benicia absolutely killed this role. I believe nobody else could have done this role as well as he did.
Sicario was an intense movie. Very good. Benicio Del Toro is an amazing actor.
One of my all-time favorites
Bencio is absolutely one of my favorite actors!
he looks like Brad Pitt
@carlostherocker6822 Any movie with Benicio is a must see for my wife and I.
@@P.DuncanMonk He's got a really strange energy about him. Very, very, accomplished, and, unique.
The boss: "No way this guy is as ruthless as me."
The movie: "Bad people fighting worse people."
"It wasn't personal"
Worst thing he could've said. That just made Alejandro wanna kill him even more.
A PHENOMENALLY SUPERB ACTOR SINCE DAY ONE!
Yes the slow burn effect, i suggest you watch other Villeneuve movies if you didn’t . A genius at work
Exactamente, es espectacular está película y debería ser un modelo a seguir. La veo cuando quiero disfrutar el cine
Soundtrack kicks perfectly too
Not in front of my boys. ... Mmmkay
Straight savage this sceen was. #Sicario
Del torro is one of my favorites
Benicio has never put in a bad performance. Ever.
I first seen Del Toro in Way of the Gun, I can’t believe that movie isn’t as well known as his other films. Del Toro & Ryan Filippi were unbelievable.💯🔥🤟
Good movie. Have it at home. “There’s always free cheese in a mouse trap.”
What's the name of this movie? Never watched it.
First movie I seen him in was fear and loathing in Las Vegas
He wasn’t no gay uncle in this scene!

Benico del Torro doesn't have to speak at all, he just has to have this look and you know something bad is going to happen.
Brilliant actor.
The simple look in his eyes says it all.
Benicio Del Toros, uno de los mejores actores..Excelente pelicula
This is such a great scene amazing acting by everyone especially Benicio del Toro
i cant stop watching this moiv all time
The less lines Benecio has the better the acting his. he can portray so much with just his face and his eyes.
That woman start to cry she knew she was dead allready 😅
Im glad you brought that up. These STUPID women who marry cartel bosses, and think their gonna have kids and a normal family life.....how dumb can you get.
Exactly, cuz she was the one that told her husband to kill the family. Karma bitch!!!
Yeah she knew they were fucked lol
I just realized he killed the wife first so she didn’t have to see her sons die.
well, people don't die in few second

@@zyh627627 Buddy if you get ripped in half youre dead immediately (not really you basically instantly pass out and then go braindead a few minutes later but yk its basically insta death), if you get your head crushed youre dead in 0.1 second, if you get a headshot youre dead instantly (very rarely someone survives it yes but a shot straight through will always kill you) etc
What I like about this scene is that it doesn't do the typical "i have a code of honor where i wont hurt women and children" stuff. Hes too far gone and knows that if he won't kill them they are just gonna come back for revenge.
