Dolly is fabulous and the guitar player is great. Paidí O’Sé deserves huge credit for making this happen though. It’s incredible when you think about it. For Christ sake he made an eejit out of himself trying to be the big man, speaking in broken Irish and putting her on the spot, he gave his jersey , so what it's Kerry , the state of him
Congrats to Steve Cooney for being a perfect accompanist. Dolly was once asked if she was offended by dumb blond jokes. She said she wasn't because she knew she wasn't dumb and she knew she wasn't blond.
I am from Ireland, but don't live there now. As a former Gaelic football player It was not lost on me the really great gift that Paudi O Se generously gave to Dolly Parton. He wore that jersey with pride in 1995, and it would have been of enormous sentimental and emotional value to him. It's value has much more significance in my opinion than Dolly singing Coat of many Colors. Don't get me wrong I love the hugely talented Dolly. To Paudi, rest in peace.
@@christianpatriot125 Since the GAA are an amateur organisation the monetary value of Paudi O'Se's shirt is not a consideration here. However, the sentimental value of the shirt, I am certain for Paudi was beyond priceless, and all the more so because he was a native Irish speaker and captained the Kerry team that year. Having watched the Patriots all these years when Tom Brady was quarterback I would definitely say a Super Bowl, MVP shirt worn by him would have a priceless sentimental value. In this instance I would have no clue as to it's monetary value, that is if a monetary value should be attached to these things..

Such a pure mountain voice, you can hear it in every note she sings, and I'm sure all the Irish folks there that night heard their ancestors' influence in that music as well, their( and the Scot's) cousins across the pond created country music with the instruments they brought with them, it was about ALL they brought. They built cabins and stills in those mountains, the Germans and English came and set up breweries, and to this day, Americans drink WAY more hard liquor and beer than wine, it's not even close.
