In the standard story, before OP and his wayward daughter re-unite, the ex-wife visits OP to advocate for her inheritance. The story ends when OP gets the wedding invite but not as walk down the aisle guy.
Well, Lily has reconciled with OP, now, and to keep Karen from interfering with the reconciliation, Lily will need go full NO CONTACT with her, postpone her wedding, move with her fiance Mark to another state, have a marriage ceremony in City Hall, and invite OP to fly over to her new state and ask him to be her witness. Plus, when she has a kid on way, finds out via ultrasound that it's a boy, and names him after OP, she'll need to keep him away from Karen and warn her and the new husband that if they go anywhere near her baby, or try to take him, she'll have them thrown in prison for attempted kidnapping.⚠️

Why did not OP confront Karen regarding parental alienation . Karen was the one who did not let the daughter meet her father. Stole so much of his time with his daughter.What is the point in all these “ flowery” words and useless “descriptions” gist of the matter is mother cutoff daughter from OP. OP could have sued her for that instead of being “ cautiously optimistic” all the time. Com’ on give the mother a much needed reality check which will put a stop to her tantrums once and for all. And as for the fact OP's daughter Lily is engaged, her marriage won't last; when Lily has a son with Mark, after they get married, not only will Mark cheat on, or worse, abuse Lily, and take their son from her, with Karen's help, and not him meet his mother (Lily), but also steal a lot her time with her son; that will just perpetuate a vicious cycle.
Funny how easy she found it to abandon her father. But finds it very hard to abandon her mother knowing exactly how much of a Demon she is. I am pretty sure that if op wasn’t well off financially, she wouldn’t even have come back.
If she abandons her mother then she gets cut off from her mother's money and now that her father also has money she wants to reconcile. MONEY is where the daughter is at, wouldn't be surprised if the fiance came from money as well

His mother her grandmother was on her deathbed and she still couldn't be bothered to show up. I don't care what you think your father did. His mother had nothing to do with it. Plus his wife's biggest excuse was he worked too much. Her mother did nothing but stay home and pretend to be a writer. How the hell else were the bills going to get paid?
