Max, your dad is one of my 3 all time fav drummers since to moment the first DT album came out. He is larger than life and an inspiration to MILLIONS of drummers. Learn all you can and then make it your own. You are already 20 times better drummer than I am and I've been doing it for 30 years! Your off to a great start. KEEP YOUR HEADS and you'll have great music careers.

i really like the proggy elements to it near the end, and the balance between the screaming and the clean vocals, as well as good guitar and bass work, the lyrics are also quite good i liked them... cudos to the singer playing keyboard at the same time xD but ya favrourite part of the song was near the end when the instrumental part came in and the whole song from there, but not to say i didnt like the rest. the song grew better as i listened so well done guys. if you guys go about this the right way you can mature and make even better stuff than what you are capable of now :)

I love how so many have to make the Mike P./DT connections. How on earth could you start a prog band and NOT have some DT influence in your music? How many times do I think, "hmph, sounds like Floyd" listening to prog, even in some DT music? It's inevitable. As long as it's not blatant copying. Also, HELLO?? If Max decided to be a chef or an engineer, etc., no one would care, but because he decides to play the drums suddenly its an issue? The kid has natural talent and a universe of knowledge and experience at his finger tips. OF COURSE he sounds and plays and behaves like his dad behind the kit. Same as if JP's kid played guitar or JR's kid took up keyboards. If he makes his career about copying Mike, then yes, THAT would be lame, but for Christ's sake he's 15 or 16!!! Let him get going and see where he goes before getting critical on him. I wish him and his band mates nothing but the best.

in my personal opinion : this band has BFMV-style, yeah you can say its metalcore, but i say its bfmv. Plus some DT-accent in some place. And for Max, i think his stage-perform-style is more-Adler. :D

Well well well nice job guys. Yes you're still raw, there's a lot of work to do, but nice start indeed. I'd avoid the screaming though. The voice is still a bit "young" , and for screaming to be meaningful (i.e. to reinforce the meaning behind the lyrics and convey emotions) IMHO the voice has to grow a bit thicker (but this is just my 2 cents). To all the haters... people, get a life! Ain't you got something better to do than bash a band of young people?
I know that all of the band members are pretty young, but this band is going to end up like a lot of other metal bands where the instruments sound really good but the singer just drags the whole band down, and thats a real shame.
This sounds like Mike Portnoy's son started yet another Dream Theater clone band. Oh, wait... He still has a lot to learn. Really, really rough. They were signed too soon; now that daddy got them a big InsideOut contract they won't even try to improve. Shame. Could have been a decent DT clone.

From what I heard of the song its pretty damn complex so if your going that route you better make sure that its done well. It's just my opinion.
