At 7:14 it looked hilarious when Rocko came into view, running along the ledge to greet you and probably thinking to herself "does he not know that there's an easy way up here ..." 🤣🐶👍

Ah yes, I know, I'm also a climber.
many years ago when I was rock climbing I was explaining what a top rope and top bottom belay was to my work colleagues .. I said basically one went up the easy way to set up the toprope and then went back to the bottom of the cliff and climbed up the hard way with rope, etc .. One of my colleagues was older gentleman from village in rural India who exclaimed that if he told his older relatives in Gujarat about this they would wonder how North Americans maganged to do anything practical when we did silly things like this . Later is eldest daughter married a chap of Indian descent who loved to rock climb

Not only solo top roping, but filming while climbing... from two vantage points. Glad you are in more hospitable temps and that you seem to be getting more socializing! Stay safe.
Rocko does the filming from the ground.
I had a small breed Jack Russell for 17 years. Always kept some canned pumpkin purée on hand. Especially when we were camping. She would eat anything she found. Pumpkin is awesome for settling upset tummies.
I could just watch you and Rocko hang out, cook, look at the scenery. Doesn't have to be anything fancy for me. It just gives me a sense of peace and calm wherever you two go. :)

I've been watching your videos for breakfast for about three years now. There's nothing better for me than having a cup of coffee, a nice warm meal and one of your adventures. It really doesn't matter to me if it's a massive hike, easy day, chores or your van building series. Watching you and Rocko is just so relaxing for me. My cairn terrier is super sensitive about her food too. I just started feeding her this frozen, raw food called K-9 Kravings Rabbit, duck, and vegetable recipe, and she loves it and has done really well on it. I’ve just learned so much negative things lately about kibble, I just had to take her off of it. Anyway, good luck with Rocco!❤
Good for your dog!! Dry kibble is the worse food for dogs and cats!!

Agree on so many of the comments. I'm here to get away from the fast paced life I live, so need for anything fancy from me. And you're doing so many of us a wonderful thing, so take care of yourself too. Just seeing you enjoying a good meal with Rocko and a nice fire is very refreshing. I'm looking forward to retiring in five years and then I'm hiking the A.T. and traveling some like yourself. Take care.
Utah is a bucket list destination for me, I live in Queensland Australia, so I’m used to outback but them mountains, ancient ruins, I’m sold 👍
glad you have a new hobby! be careful with rope soloing, there have been many accidents over the years even when the rope systems were "properly" set up. a lot of dirtbags go to joshua tree or huecos, red rocks, it wont be hard to find a partner there in the winter
Hey Foresty, I don't know what it was about the winter break from video making, but you're looking healthier than you have in years. I hope you're feeling the difference too. That was nerve-wracking to watch until I saw Rocko beat you to the top & made me laugh😅. My dod has a sensitive stomach too. Nothing like waking up from a sound sleep by the puke sound & find out you're too late to get them off the bed.😵💫 Good to see you looking so happy.✌️

Keep those adventures coming. It's always key to safely test your limits and learn new skills. 👍
One thing to watch out for with starting climbing, and doing it a lot right away. Make sure to exercise the muscles on top of your forearms. This will keep you from getting tennis elbow which hurts incredibly bad from climbing activities. Doing a few exercises a few times a week will keep you climbing more, and without the pain.
As I’ve told many people who make negative comments on your channel: it’s your life and your channel. Do what you want with both as you never seem to hurt anyone else.
Happy to see you in 2024! Everybody needs a break now and then. Otherwise you will suffer burnout like a lot of other you tubers. Your live should be enjoyable,exciting,interesting to others and above all safe for you and your dog. Do what you need to do and be safe,we will be there to watch ,comment and like!
