In Flames is my favorite band of all time. The singles they released of the new album are such bangers. I'm so excited for the final release of the full album.
Man I used to fuck with in flames big time in high school, but haven't really kept up with them since soundtrack to your escape. This is such a banger. I love Anders voice so much. Him and Howard Jones were my favorite vocalists back in the early 2000s.
Soilwork was another band that made its way into my CD rotation as well. Like you, Soundtrack was probably the last album by these guys that I really got in to, but this song sounds great. Happy to see them still going strong.
In Flames is one of those bands that had an almost revolutionary impact on me as a person; I first listened to them as a teen discovering metal for the first time, they helped to form my music taste, and I still consider them one of my favourite bands. Reroute To Remain is one of my personal favourite albums of all time, and my favourite IF album overall, but I also adore Clayman and Come Clarity and even Sounds of a Playground Fading. They'll always hold a very special place in my heart, no matter what. ❤️
I’m almost 50 and only a few years ago found bands like Trivium, In Flames, KSE and Parkway Drive, it’s been so amazing to experience these catalogs all at once . It has been a trip almost like when I was a kid in the 80s getting turned on to trash metal
Try out avatar if you like those bands, Schlact is killer and through to their self titled are definitely melodeath through and through and they veered into more groove metal and almost whimsical metal after that, ridiculously entertaining and super tight live shows too
Will always have a soft spot for this band. Saw them last September and they had a through the history setlist which was epic. Excited for the rest of this album to come out. So many singles so far. Feel like I heard the whole album already.
Love the new song. Brings me back to the Soundtrack era when I got into the band, but has notes of the newer in it. Parts do sound similar to Drifter and F(r)iend, but that’s not a complaint at all.
That chorus melody is one of my favourite things I've heard in some time. I adore it. Chris Broderick is an absolute monster, I would never have guessed he'd be such a great fit but it's worked so well!
I'm with you bro, I stumbled upon In Flames through a second hand mp3 player somewhere around 2005, when I listen to them I get back right there to my youth, the good and the bad of it, all in a beautiful swirling harmony of feels!
I really enjoy the drums on this. Really brutal sounding. Also giving Chris Broderick the time to shine with a guitar solo is greatly appreciated. Amazing musician.
I remember getting hooked on In Flames for the first time when I heard their song "Take This Life", on fucking Guitar Hero 3 back in '07 when I was about 11 years old. To see them still kicking ass like this is just awesome! 🤘😎🤘
I saw In Flames (for the 7th time) with Orbit Culture in Chicago and Anders got really emotional talking about how much he missed performing during COVID. This new album really feels like they're reinvigorated. Anders sounded incredible that night, and I'm so stoked for the album to release. I've loved every single release so far. Long live melodeath!
I love all of In Flames stuff. Not ashamed to admit. Soundtrack To Your Escape is my favorite album of theirs, so this song and the other singles are absolute HYPE!!!
Love the clear lead vocal. Very well mixed. Got my pulse elevated, as usual with In Flames. I was subconsciously banging my head 😅 They always satisfy my need for heavy music
This album sounds great so far. This is the best song from the singles . I think every In Flames album is unique in their own way. They keep getting better and better.
First band I ever saw live when I was 15 which was about 6 years ago now. Such a good first band to see first live, they were supporting A7X with Disturbed.
I've been a big In Flames fan since I first heard Take This Life and Only For The Weak when I was only 13. I saw them in 2015 in Nashville when they came out with Siren Charms. And I got Niclas' guitar pick, which was also the first time I caught a pick and my ex got a pick from Bjorn. Still love them today and would love to see them again.
Saw In Flames in Gothenburg days before christmas (2022) as they ended their European tour and one thing that hit me was how f**king good Anders sounds live now! Okey, they end their tour in their hometown so that could boost up some energy but anyways... Never heard Anders this powerful in his vocals ever! They put up an epic show, not like they use to be rubbish live but this was something totaly different. In Flames we trust!
Saw In Flames for the first time last summer in the Metal Tour of the Year with Trivium, Lamb of God, and Megadeth, and In Flames was my favorite by a bit
In Flames have never done a bad album or song in my opinion. I get why some people went off them for the reasons you mentioned but to me if you just sit back and enjoy them all for what they are they're all great! Some better than others sure but that's to be expected when you've released this many albums and songs over that many years! All that being said I fucking love this return to an older sound!
I completely feel you on the emotional connection to music, I love all types of music and I am emotionally connected to everything thing I like and it takes me awhile to pick up new bands, singers etc. But this brings me back to when Come Clarity and I love it.
I remember being around 14/15 in the mid 00s and me and my friends stumbed on the Trigger music video on youtube. We were all hooked! One of best bands on the planet.
I was at the last show of their tour a few months ago in Reading. Anders could barely talk between songs but was still killing it. I can’t wait for this album, the day after my birthday. And the Team America clip got me. One of my favs 😄
I didn't really check them out much until I saw them preform on the Megadeath/Lamb of God tour. Super awesome, they opened up right before Trivium came on. Was not a band I thought I would like and I am excited for the new album to come out!
100% with ya on this. Way back in the day I liked a couple of early In Flames songs. But it wasn't till around Clayman or maybe a bit before when Bjorn switched to Guitar. That I took notice to them. But around 2012 when "Sounds of a Playground Fading" came out. I really got into the band. And started buying up CDs. I was really getting into that "Clayman" and "Reroute" era. That was around 2016, and that was a really good time for me. I just came into my 50s. And really getting back into playing and buying Guitars and Basses. The last couple of albums just didn't grab me like the Clayman to Playground does. With all that said. You talked about music takinging to That Place. I heard this song the day it dropped. It took me back to that feeling in 2016. Setting up my new home and cranking Only For The Week. This new song feels like THAT. The guitar solo. It hit me, too. At first it didn't feel right but I'm ok with it. I couldn't put my finger on it. Then I figured it out. It's not Bjorn. But how very cool that Bjorn handing the solo duties to Chris. Killer solo. He is a great addition to this new version of In Flames. Recently found your channel. Subbed. Great Channel! Killer content.🤘👍
8:08 I got into In Flames relatively late, so I'm not familiar with all their songs, but when I heard this banger last week I wondered "is this from one of their first albums? It sounds like it". I was shocked to discover it only came out last year! It definitely reminds me of an era when Metal was a huge part of my life (still is, but it's less mainstream now).
Y U NO have more views! That really bugs the hell of me! The quality you deliver is perfect. I love it! And I have to mention. Your personal development has been so damn fun to follow! U da man, Tank! Keep it up
It's my favorite band by far, It's the only one I go to concerts if they play remotely close, and this song has best repeat value for me since I think something from Sounds of a Playground Fading :D
Damn that was amazing. I checked out after Come Clarity, but this sounds like a good mix of the late 90s/early 2000 sound. Almost like Trigger 2.0 and I love it.
Another great reaction to a great song. I pretty much always leave a like on your videos but I always wait til I see the hat come off and the head banging commence. Well done dude!
Definitely found IF during Soundtrack To Your Escape era! So 2000-Present IF is my favorite. This song brings me back to 2006 for sure. Can't fucking wait for the album and subsequent tours!

Actually on the first new single I thought yeeaaaaaa well it's good but lets see, they had good first singles before. But every single song released from this album gets me hyped more and more. The Reroute to Remain until Come Clarity era is my absolute favorite era of those guys and by now I feel this album should have been the one coming out after Come Clarity. And holy shit this song is pretty much as heavy as F(r)iend or Take this Life but with Anders' greatly improved cleans he showed on the last albums. Can't wait for the new album!
I definitely consider "old in flames" colony, clayman(favorites), and prior. They are pulling in a bit of that old sound but with more complexity and im really digging the new songs. I can see where people would go soundtrack to your escape/a sense of purpose-ish though, also favorites. I think these new songs really showcase what these guys are capable of, and I expect this album will also be a favorite for me. Wish my mom were still here, she would be loving it too. 💕
I just got home from seeing In Flames at Liseberg in Gothenburg. The amusement park you recognised in The Halo Effect video. If you ever got a chance, come to Sweden and see them in Gothenburg. It.. cant be described in words.
In Flames has always been a favorite of mine, and I don't think I can name a bad song from them.. But this song might even be the best one ever! So many elements from different eras of their career. and yet it's something new. When that chorus with the classic melodic sound, and Anders' cleans, hits.. damn.. my eyes tear up.. So brilliant! This album, with the few singles we have heard, is already a top contender for album of the year! Heck.. even album of the decade!
You are right about depends when people got into the band. I got into them (and metal on the whole) when they released Come Clarity. I know that album, and every album after that, very very well. The albums before, I know and enjoy, but I don't know them as well. Sometimes, I think the hype around an upcoming release can make a huge difference when it comes to how much you listen to an album. For me at least, some times, going back to old albums doesn't have the same thrill as experiencing a new album with all the hype generated by everyone around you. So even though I know all their albums, to me, old In Flames is Come Clarity and A Sense of Purpose.
I listen to everything but all of Soundtrack to Your Escape and the combo of Dialog with the Stars and Hive off Whoracle are my favorites. Deliver Us and Save Us are great too. Those are the songs I usually start with and I listen to In Flames almost every time I drive.
Awesome song for sure! And a awesome reaction as always! About the logo on the baseball cap I am pretty sure it is the In Flames logo, The same that is on the drumkit in the zoomed in still picture you made. 🤘Ahh noticed that you have noticed it too... 😂
Best In Flames song in a long, long time.
Indeed Back to the Roots 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Their latest singles have been epic.
Agreed!
meh, i thought this was pretty mediocre for them. just generic in flames sound without doing much.
@@johnnylemon9610 Oh no a band that sounds like their own band. Stfu idiot
Come Clarity and A Sense of Purpose will forever have a special place in my heart. Got me into the band.
💯, but i'll do you another two albums!! Soundtrack to your escape or reroute to remain!!
I've been in the pit since clayman
For me it was Trigger & Ordinary Story. Simply amazing.
In Flames is my favorite band of all time. The singles they released of the new album are such bangers. I'm so excited for the final release of the full album.

I fell in love back in 2007 during high school listening to them. it's so great they are back at their roots.

Totally agree with you. Heard a lot of “F(r)iend” in this one and I’m totally down with it.
@@TankTheTech Yeah I hear "F(riend)" in this but also "superhero of the computer rage". Both great songs!!!
Oh man, such good songs.
Imagine they had used the bass tone of Transparent on this one. Would've sounded badass in my opinion :)
I relate to you so much whenever you talk about how much in flames means to you.
This is DEFINITELY going back a few albums sound wise. ❤️🤘
I'm a Thai fan who likes works in flames and likes to follow your presentations

Learning that the new album drops on my birthday is freaking sweet!
I have in flames tattoos as well. So I’m pretty stoked they’re back in form
I didn`t expect to learn so much in a reaction video.
Love the new In Flames song.
I remember getting hooked on In Flames for the first time when I heard their song "Take This Life", on fucking Guitar Hero 3 back in '07 when I was about 11 years old. To see them still kicking ass like this is just awesome! 🤘😎🤘

dude you're damn right, this track is like something new but from the Soundtrack to Your Escape album. The track is incredible. In flames we trust.

This album sounds great so far. This is the best song from the singles . I think every In Flames album is unique in their own way. They keep getting better and better.
