- me and my wife Melly, both excited to try new playground for us... mild offroading areal at Pagedangan BSD to try our new 30mm spacer block / lift kit on our E70 X5 (also MT tyres and Air Suspension delete - i will discuss this in other video). my kit gave about 75mm-80mm total lift
part number for my rear coil conversion / air spring delete (oem parts for rear coil conversion e70 x5):
33536783006 rear coil spring x5 e70 x2 unit
33536857003 Spring pad lower x5 e70 bmw x2 unit
33536857004 Spring pad cone x5 e70 bmw x2 unit
33536857006 Spring pad upper x5 e70 bmw x2 unit
what i did for the lift kit
30mm front strut top spacer
40mm rear spring spacer (i tried 20mm and 30mm, 40mm gave the best compensation on full cargo load)
30mm rear strut top spacer OR longer strut
mine is a 7 seater model with 36mm shorter strut compared to the 5 seater model. so i just use the 5 seater longer strut
i dropped swaybar link mount with 15mm spacer and dont forget longer 10.9 bolts (might not need to do that with non-7seaters)

its Fun but we are glad we have our friends from X-Xplore there to guide us and making sure everyone go through the course ok.

Hello
what wheels go to x5 e70 without anything you have to change? just what rims and tires to put on?
Do you have adaptive drive? I want to lift my x5 but I’m afraid I can’t because of the adaptive drive stuff.
Manthab 🔥🔥🔥
Was it just coil springs that gave you the 30mm lift? Or did you have to do some bushings and arms too?
just strut top spacers front
strut top spacers rear
and spring spacer rear
awesome !!!!!!!
thank you for another great event!
You realy enjoyed your self 😉
Lovely.
I'm doing some off roading too with a G05 on X5OR
thank you mate 🙏

Keren bgt gan! Bisa bikin video sharing ttg perawatan e70nya kah? Hehehe
@@SilasBonar46 recommended kah untuk jadi first bmw? Hehehe baru belajar bgt europe sihhh
@@Dieodieyeah first BMW harus E36-E46 paling bersahabat.
Mau tanya tanya masalah bmw?

Do you think you could fit 33” tires with a bigger lift? Also do you think cv angles are maxed out now with your 30mm lift blocks?
i think 33inch will hit if i turn full lock. i am really worried about my front left CV popping out... 😂😂 so i think my next step would be spacing the subframe... it is going to be a big job and i am not prepared to go that extreme yet.
but yes i agree with you, 33” or more would be awesome aye?
That’s interesting what you say about the cv axle with the 30mm lift blocks. There’s a company in the US that just came out with a 3” lift block kit prototype, so I wonder if they ran into that issue.
I’m trying to put together my own lift and I want to do a 2.5” coilover lift but I need a 2.5” block for the rear coil spring since I can’t source a custom longer coil spring. Then I want to try to fit 275/65r18s tires, I have 265/60r18s now and want just a little bit bigger. I won’t be doing hardcore off-roading like you though
@@rich1807 ahhhh i get what you mean now... i have seen them... i think there are common misconceptions on lift kits naming...
i conclude there are 2 ways of naming the lift kit:
first is like me: the measurement of actual thickness of the spacers / lift blocks....
second type of naming is the end results of the total lift.
for example:
1" SPACERS gives total LIFT of 2"
1.5" SPACERS gives total LIFT of 3"
i guess i should have been clearer with my descriptions. my kit is a spacer thickness of 30mm on the struts mounts and spring base... which gave about 75-80mm of lift in total... which max out my CV angle. 75mm is about 3inch additional height.... and i am using 265/70/17
i will put more detailed spec on my descriptions after finishing this comment. sorry for the confusion
@@rich1807 here are my stuff...
oem parts for rear coil conversion e70 x5
33536783006 rear coil spring x5 e70 x2 unit

33536857004 Spring pad cone x5 e70 bmw x2 unit

i dropped swaybar link mount with 15mm spacer and dont forget longer 10.9 bolts (might not need to for non 7 seaters)
and i just did a quick calculation... mine is 265 / 70 / 17 which is around 31.6” and what you are aiming is 275 / 65 / 18 which is around 32.1”... about 0.5” or 12mm larger circumference than me, i think u can do this... but i could be wrong... mind rubs only at around last 5 degree turn before steering full lock... just rubs
@@rich1807 short explanation about my specific comments on “front left CV popping out” is because it is alot shorter than the right CV hence you had more angle / stretch on it on the same amount on lift compared to your right CV. i tried 40mm spacer which gave me about 100mm lift and it pops out my CV axle
Where did you get your lift kit ?
i made it myself. its just a metal spacer between shock mounts and the strut housing
What are your wheel and tire specs/sizes?
17x9 et-7 and 265/70/17
I thought 17’ didnt fit for the brake calipers, do u have phote of lift kit please??
Hallo! What size tyre do you use?
i use 265 / 70 / R17
@SilasBonar46 Learning Curve 👍
@@SilasBonar46 stock brakes?
@@LXV87 yes. it will not fit all 17inch. depending on your internal drum / barrel design. some you need spacer / adaptor to move the wheel out. on my case its direct fit because i am using 17x9 -9 offest wheels (bbs wtcc)
