  • In this episode, we have Dan Neuffer. Dan’s story with chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) / fibromyalgia began with an abrupt onset triggered by a vaccination. His symptoms ranged from extreme fatigue not alleviated by rest, bouts of fever and other flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms as well as night sweats, cardiac symptoms, orthostatic hypotension, allodynia, excessive urination at night, salt cravings, pain and neurological symptoms such as fibro fog.
    After fruitlessly seeing dozens of doctors, Dan took matters into his own hands and found a pathway to recovery. He believes that autonomic nervous system dysregulation plays a fundamental role in these illnesses and that a comprehensive treatment approach is critical; when he found the right treatment protocol treatments that hadn’t worked for him before began to work.
    Since Dan recovered, he has written two books, CFS Unravelled and Discover Hope and created an online recovery program for ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia called ANS REWIRE.

    General practitioners are undertrained and constantly fail to acknowledge all neuropathic pain conditions. It's taken me years to find people like Dan and others to finally realise my fibromyalgia cannot be treated by pills, supplements and physical therapy because it all does it keep you in the pain/fear loop. I left my first family doctor because she was so dismissive of fibromyalgia and my chronic symptoms. My new doctor finally gave me a diagnosis but only pushes pills that don't really work. They will never point you in the right direction to recovery because they're just not trained in this area. Only through calming the limbic system through repeated messages of safety will rest you nervous system to its default parasympathetic state. I urge anyone to take a course such as Dan's if you are suffering chronic pain/CFS/POTS type illnesses.

    I've seen Dan interviewed many times, but this was the most candid I've seen. This is the feather in the cap of your work. TOP NOTCH.
    Edit.. Dan Buglio was also pivotal. Throw in John El-Mokadem and you will have the recovery trinity.

      Dan is definitely one of the best for cfs, dan buglio is great for pain not fatigue in my opinion. John talks too much lol

      @@Star5dg it's all the same thing. A nervous system that is sensitized and terrified. So no matter who is talking about it, that is the bottom line. However hearing it different ways as Dan says here can be helpful.

    It’s so sad that people have to go through all these stages all by themselves because doctors are not trained to recognize and treat these conditions and similar conditions like somatic symptom disorder. It’s just crazy that the medical world is so late on this matter

    Raelan Agle also said in a video telling her story that she got her CFS symptoms after a vaccine, in her case a flu vaccine. She also doesn't advocate against vaccines.

    What a great interview 🌟🙏 I will watch it again, my english is not so good 🙈 Did iunderstand it right that he had a blush? Did he had Lyme?

    • @lizzieb8039
      @lizzieb8039 2 года назад

      From what I understood, he had a rash, an allergic reaction to the antibiotics his doctor gave him. From what I understood he didn’t have Lyme’s disease, he had chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. His nervous system was too sensitive, which caused multiple body systems including his immune system to dysfunction. That’s what made him have an allergy to the antibiotics.
