    Best option would be to go for a 1080p or 1440p 120 Hz monitor for Series S. I personally own this console and I have seen that almost all games runs at 1080p dynamic resolution in series S, so a 4k monitor might make the games look little pixelated. If you own a 4k TV then that is fine because you are not going to use a TV so closely like a monitor, so a 4k TV will minimise the pixelated effect when looked from a distance, moreover most of the TVs comes with upscaling feature which might improve the experience a little bit more.

It packs a heck of a punch performance and gameplay wise , I’ve struggled with just a laptop playing games like TSW 2 and TS2022 , blown away by the fact it’s got the function to use the edge browser ! , Netflix and many other apps , without the heaviness of an operating system such as windows and all the other programs that bog down a pc memory wise , well pleased as I’ve been away from the gaming circle for 9 years . Brilliant investment and more importantly a cheaper option .

    As a pc player who sold his own rig to build a new one last year (expecting to be able to find a gpu), I ended up buying the series S to hold me over untill I could complete a new build. Here's what I found out.
    1: good graphics up to 1440p. 4k is upscaled by software, or may cause artifacts depending on your monitor.
    2: buy a 144hz, or 120 hz monitor, it makes a world of difference from standard 60 fps. But be aware that in most AAA games you won't be getting more than 50-60 fps. It's really ideal for fast paced shoodters like COD (not caldera, though it can work ok).
    3: this is NOT a pc replacement, if you think it is your just bs'ing yourself. This is intended for gaming, it's not a workstation.
    4: Input lag can be bad. Halo Infinite was un-playable because the mouse input had some sort of delay added to it. This is probably filtering done on the developers side, but it was seriously atrocious. Other games like Cold War and Warzone/Caldera actually aren't that bad.
    5: buy a xim apex if you are a dedicated m&k player. There is support for most console games on the market, and you can fine tune the feel untill you get close to a pc like experience. Only use this for single player or coop, NOT multi-player, you can be detected and banned.
    6: the onboard storage is 500 gb, enough for Warzone, 2 COD mp games, and Forza Horizon 5. Additional storage is close to 200$ which is a huge rip off. So plan to be re-downloading games often, or just wait for a Series X to become avaliable (or buy/build a pc).
    7: save up and buy/build a PC. Pre-builts (that are not from OEMs) with an i5 or ryzen 5, 3060 or higher, m.2 nvme storage, and dual channel ram will run you 1800$ cad (1500 usd), but it will give you an incomparable experience. Honestly, there is nothing that produces as good of graphics, or as seemless a response as a good pc. Save up for one and you will really enjoy it.
    Since I was able to source a 3060 ti, my new computer has been built and I have a hard time powering on the console again. Honestly it's just my preference (especially since I do a lot of editing and work on my pc too), but I promise that anyone who picks up a new pc will be happy with it (even if they still play with a controller on it).
    Overall, be happy with what you have, otherwise you will just be chasing for the next greatest thing. Satisfaction comes from realizing the value of what you already have.

    It's more of a 720p-1080p 30-60fps device in long run so you better hold to your 1080p monitor if you want to use series S
    1440p is possible in some games 120fps too
    All depends on how demanding the game is .

    Technically you could jailbreak the Xbox and install Linux on it. Since it kind of already runs a modified version of Linux. Then it would be a real pc.

    xbox has mouse input lag though. its slight but noticable. too annoying when you have a PC to notice it. but if you want the best bang for your buck. series S is the way to go. the graphics and frames u get from it is ridiculous compared to the price youll have to spend for a PC equal.

    • @theuzfxp4933
      @theuzfxp4933 3 года назад

      Esse atraso só acontece se você jogar a 60hz ,se você jogar Fortnite ou warzone ,que tem modo para 120fps e jogar eles a 120hz , é imperceptível

    I'd call this pseudo-PC gaming since it's literally just using the console with kbm and you're still extremely limited. But I'm curious if it's possibly to install Windows on it somehow.
    Besides, Steam Deck offers actual budget pc gaming for around the same price (base model anyway)

    • @HonkeyKong54
      @HonkeyKong54 3 года назад +1

      It's already running a modified version of windows. But no you can't. You can sideload uwp pc apps though if you have developer mode enabled. Like retroarch.

    • @breakfastcrafty4683
      @breakfastcrafty4683 2 года назад

      You cannot install windows on here because of a couple things. Microsoft has Intentionally put protections to prevent you from installing windows because of things like game cheating. The Xbox has wildly different hardware from an ordinary PC so it would be impossible to get drivers for the Xbox and if you were to make drivers, your assembly coding skills would have to be in god mode. The Xbox also uses a completely different filesystem from windows. The Xbox uses a filesystem called FATX (don't confuse it with exfat that's different) and the bios only supports fatx (unless you flash a custom bios). In addition to this this probably goes against the Xbox and Microsoft tos, and you would probably get taken to court. At this point its just easier to go buy a windows computer, or install Linux on the Xbox.

    Mouse on Xbox and pa5 is absolutely bad. I had X and S (sold them) and mouse sensitivity absolutely bad, it’s not about vsync cause games on pc with vsync playing MUCH MUCH better and smoother on mouse, much more comfortable, but on Xbox and ps5 you just have very bad input lag + sensor lag, it’s feel like you playing not on the table, but like on the glass. I don’t recommend play with mouse and keyboard on Xbox and ps5. Just check Reddit guys, its not only my problem, like I have bad mouse and etc. its problem with consoles. But one thing. In cod warzone mouse works really better than in Fortnite. Fortnite is a hell to play with mouse. Who will not agree with me - just buy gaming pc and try mouse on it.
