    I wonder how Maurice Sendak got the inspiration for stories like the Nutshell Library, Kenny's Window, Seven Little Monsters and The Sign on Rosie's Door.

      He never thought of making some better books than “The Sign on Rosie’s Door”, so he can add them to “The Nutshell Library”.

      Pretty sure _Seven Little Monsters_ was requested by Jim Henson, as he wanted Sendak to provide some animated segments for _Sesame Street._ He also created the "Bumble-Ardy" segment for _Sesame._

      You know what I think Maurice Sendak talked about his book Where The Wild Things Are frightening children and boy did it frighten me when I was little!
