He never thought of making some better books than “The Sign on Rosie’s Door”, so he can add them to “The Nutshell Library”.
Pretty sure _Seven Little Monsters_ was requested by Jim Henson, as he wanted Sendak to provide some animated segments for _Sesame Street._ He also created the "Bumble-Ardy" segment for _Sesame._

You know what I think Maurice Sendak talked about his book Where The Wild Things Are frightening children and boy did it frighten me when I was little!
