Yes. You're leaning into the goofy intros I love it
glad you do!
Hell yeah, it’s all coming together.
He's... wait for it... no Stranjah to them
@@HITPOINTgrime He's no stranjah to love. He knows the rules and so do I.
proud to be 111th like
Dawn Wall..i like how they balance smooth liquid with dark vibes
agreed they go deep
Mohican Sun as well. Not all but def some tunes go there.
Monty, pretty much all the 1985 guys tbh. I'm trying to base my style around those types of guys along with GLXY, Monrroe. All have a deep, gritty but very soulful vibe which really speaks to me!
+1 for Monty
Monrroe is one of my favorite Drum & Bass artists from the United Kingdom.
check out "of the trees"
you’re one of the only Americans who can actually make UK electronic music well, respect for that
a lot do it pretty well
Alix Perez does a lot of this stuff. He's a don
Ever thought of doing (if you haven't yet) a tutorial on atmospheric/ "intelligent" drum and bass? The lighter side of DnB, if you will. Photek , Peshay, some Doc Scott etc to name a few from the old(er) school.
Yes soon. I heard there was 200 likes for this request.
LTJ Bukem vibes
Dawn wall also is mad for this style
I agree, the intro is pretty entertaining, i could watch it on loop, endlessly
You're exceptional at explaining sound design as you go. That master tune trick is mad simple and really clever.
So much thanks for sharing all that knowledge!
Thanks mate your videos are awesome!
dude your tutuorials are insanely good, thanks and big ups stranjah!!
Thanks Professor!
Alix Perez and Skeptical are (based on my opinion) the darkest, deepest melodic liquidy DnB out there!
Thank You So Much for Your Videos!
God Bless!
ps. I forgot to Add LTJ Bukem & MC Conrad to my list of fave Liquid DnB Which include Big Bud and Makoto.
How about a half-step tut in the vein of Ivy Lab, Alix Perez, EPROM etc?
Yes. I do a lot of halftime just it wasn’t requested much here but would love to!
Have my upvote on halftime/beats!
(still waiting for dark halftime/modern jungle too :3)
@@STRANJAH Would love for this. Theres like no resources for new producers about that style.
@@STRANJAH please do a half step video
@@STRANJAH Would love a halftime one
Awesome!!!!
Appreciate the mention Stranjah! Big fan of your music and your videos. BIG UPS!
bigup to you!
Absolute gold as usual
Good vibes! Big UP!
Dude sick surfing 🤙
Your Tutorials are great. all the effort you put in your videos will pay off in the future. 4 sure.
You did it again!!! So good :D
thx Gabriel!
Not much to say that hasn't already been said, but I got excited when I saw the preview for this I got pretty excited. The result did not disappoint.
However, building off of this style, snare and hi hat production really shines for some of these producers, especially Halogenix. If there was a Stranjah tutorial about making crisp snares, I would like that very much. Maybe a top 10 principles of making quality snares? EQ, Comp, modulation, etc.
Great channel, great videos. I especially like the measured and concise narration. Elementary without being condescending.
Thanks for the feedback will look into your request
Thank you so much!
Great video as always man 👌🏽🙏🏽
Appreciate it!
Yes mate. Never post comments but have to tell you your tutorials are really well made. Just coped your liquid production kit. Big up!!!!
Thank you for that!
Hell yeah, exactly what i need :D
Glad to hear that!
extremely helpful video.thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Whoop whoop 🙌 this is gonna be the 1 💯 🔥 🔊
thanks jamie!
Once again Alan smashed its. Sounds really nice man! All these years and never played with chord 😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
its a dope tool!
This was great. I can see myself getting into this sound. Very moody and vibey.
Nice glad to hear that!
Great job again homie. Delving into different sub-genres/styles of drum and bass with these tutorials is golden. Being able to understand, appreciate, and flex each unique soundscape is something newer and veteran producers alike should sharpen their swords up and practice. Repertoire fam. Only being limited by your imagination and drive and aware of as many different forms of electronic music makes for a well rounded multi faceted artist. Drum and bass in particular seems to lend from/be inspired by just about every genre out there if your listening to the full spectrum it's apparent
Exactly, by being open to learn more styles, you become more versatile as a producer.
Definitely been very inspired by the new GLXY LP, even the non dnb stuff on there and the interludes
Ha! Love the intro! GLXY gets some nice deepity ;-)
Totally cool. Even when surfing through space!
haha glad u liked that
Amazing Chanel!
Liquid,, its so smooth, but the one i struggle producing the most...! Ok with the minimal, dark stuff,, but you can get away with a lack of melody,,
Great video stranjah! You the man! 👌
thank you!
Same, i love liquid but i can never get satisfying melodies myself that don't already exist
Now this is what I subscribed for
thx Ben!
That matrix technique is so fricken helpful
Whiney makes some nice not too happy liquid dnb, Bop (and Subwave) is doing his own thing but really like his style too.
Yesss finally
My man! :D As soon as I saw the intro, I smashed the like button!
How about you give us a tutorial on some Sinthetix like techstep vibes ? For da headz :D
Thx for the like! Will check him out!
Dude I love your videos XD cant wait to receive my student grant and buy Ableton and Serum XDDDDD
Monty, Alix Perez and visages like u said are the best for me
Great tutorial, I think I might grab your midi pack as I mostly use Logic Pro X. Another dark liquid vibez producer making good tunes lately -> Monrroe remix of Bcee little bird is deep
CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN MY GRATITUDE FOR ALL YOU DO 🙏
Most welcome man!
haha the intro was straight fire
Yesss!!!
bigup Alfie!
The artist I love is Electrosoul System. It’s beyond deep and liquid, he and his label make some out there excellent stuff.
Word, bigup Kosmos.Music. Super interesting releases with a focus on Russian producers who don't make Neuro or Atmospheric Jungle. Mav, Bop, Mobility, etc.
One, two, madness, such a fffing tune

Other great examples of deep liquid stuff are Data 3, OaT, Submarine, Hyroglifics.
Hello Stranjah!
Great job man , thanks for the videos. I would like to ask for session on atmospheric breaks or progressive breaks . If possible ofc.
Thanks again
dope introoo
Best intro
8:46 - had to loop it 6x the first time I heard it - ominous!
Dawn Wall and Mohican Sun make really nice deep stuff
Agreed very deep stuff
Thanks for the great YT drum and bass content. As a bitwig user, very much appreciate the Midi and Wav only options ☺️
PS your surfboard is backwards
THAAAAANKS!!!! :):):):)
Most welcome
Yesss
Great
Thank you!
Vandal LTD Modern Soul compilations are really good for this style
Come for a real surf down under bro 🤙
Loving learning from your talent!
I found that adding ableton external flanger makes areally cool sound
true!
I'd love to see a tutorial on a Dj Guv style bass, like from (snake style). If I remember he used fm8 a lot.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Serum's matrix isn't semitone-based, as it's for parameters, but for note/pitch/semitone parameters, you can actually type in "12 st" and it corrects the value to 9
if i am not mistaken, Monty does some dark deep liquid aswell. great video aswell, your videos have helped me a lot to improve man, thanks :D
You're correct about Monty thx for mentioning him!
Would love to see a video on how to make old skool rave/hardcore (like Suburban Base, Moving Shadow etc)
that tickles the ear drums just right!
great to hear!
@STRANJAH love the videos and content dude! I'm still on Live 9.5 as I also use outboard Elektron stuff. I would love to buy some of your sample packs though - do you have many for sale?
Im flying right now while watching the intro😂
Nice tutorial Stranjah, are you able to do one on how to make a bass like on Tantrum Desires Be Careful?
Deep liguid
I'm new to music production. I'm inspired by the 1985 type artists like Alix Perez, Ivy Lab, Visages, Monty and would like to make dark liquid drum and bass.
Yo bro, can you do a vid on how to bootleg a normal track into liquid/ jungle dnb? Love your vids
god bless you
thank you hope this was helpful
les gouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Bigup!
Bro wheres the video on 90s ambient jungle it got over 100 likes
Almost 200 now*
Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I'll add it to my list then!
Wonder if there's a way to keep a scoreboard of all the requests with the number of votes, that would help.
94 Buken style intelligent for sure!
So cool man! Do u have a video of the jungle project you are selling? I want to hear some of the stuff u have in there
I was thinking of releasing a video of me using the kit. I have some promo videos on the product site.
4:00 yes! It has been far too long since I heard you say that.
You miss it don't you!
Seba, Calibre, Marcus intalex (RIP), Cnof, Motiv plus many many more
Yes Seba and Intalex of course
@@STRANJAH Great Tutorial... You are providing a good service and i hope you are rewarded nicely... I'm on a radio station here... I play both Deep house and liquid Dnb... If you want to send your tunes my way.. they will be played my friend!

Dawn Wall
Mohican Sun
"QZB x Phentix - Indigo Heart"
Any other deep/dark liquid artists we should know about?
Amoss, QZB, Dawn Wall & Mohican Sun could pass!
And don’t forget Alix Perez!
Tyler Frost is good
@@jamesbayley6353 yeahh man alix is crazy
perez, monty, visage, halogenix, trail
please do a Used style synth tutorial
I think Halogenix has watched this tutorial and learned how to be more Halogenixy. Sounds like he's used the same vocal sample in his latest tune Cant Let Go?
Hey Stranjah, what software do you use to do the intro? It's pretty cool, I'ed like to learn how to do cool intros like that one day
After Effects!
@@STRANJAH Nice! Thank you man, I gotta try it out. You intro was so deep and hyponotizing
, I could watch on loop forever, good stuff man!
Love that Mr. Bean made a cameo.
Can you show us how you set your drums up?
How is the correlation on the pads behaving? Do you get any phasing issues and if you do, what is your method of tackling them?
seem to be alright, I think the chorus and reverbs kind of fizzle it out if that makes sense?
Mono compatibility is always a concern with unison but Izotope or even Ableton utility can help mono-ize the low end
Pls do QZB 🙏🙏🙏
Can you do a Komatic / Technicolor / Technimatic style video? I really like their bare bones feel to their music.
Please do the lead on no problem by chase and status!!!!
Interesting thing about Visages, they said instead of making their basses from scratch they resample existing ones
Depends
@@Midn8Runner On what
@@a.s6161 I mean, we don't only use samples, we often use operator, sometimes massive or other synths for reeses or just basses in general, and midbass fx and all that. Depends of the mood and the inspiration.
@@Midn8Runner I thought it was interesting cos I was always intrigued by your mid basses, hope to hear more from you guys again cos I really liked Memories and the recent EP
@@a.s6161 thanks man!
Trail, Monty and Oat are making good deep dark liquid, is Alix Perez part of Visages??
what about a tutorial on the lead basses in About You by Visages?
I actually copied that introduced pad sound and changed it to a deeper subby version of the pad and put it underneath it. worked fine :) then i started to change the harmonics of the pad like playing different chords - i did not use a chord trigger something to progress the pad.
Sounds like a hardcore track from the 90s
That backward surfboard. lol
"Exploring this deeper sound." What? Liquid has been around for 20+ years. You could argue that LTJ pioneered the style back in the 90s. Pretty much all of Hospital Records is liquid and has been since they were founded. Some of my favorites: Dawn Wall, Pola & Bryson, Brooks Brothers, Sub Focus, High Contrast, Logistics, Camo & Krooked, etc. etc.
ALB is another one
在RUclips找到了一个好老师
pleas do a tutorial about sounds like python or kryptek who makes belgian drum and bass but so different then the dnb you made like captain bass . you can find them on soundcloud they are bouth part of the sub motionz crew :D thanks a lot if you do
that intro lolol
