Images of 096 could also be printed in Red monochrome onto banners, and shrinkwrapped onto military vehicles and aircraft, as long as your soldiers are trained to wear red tinted goggles at all times. You could effectively wipe out any force attacking you using an indestructible WMD.
That would be extremely risky though, because one of the enemies could get footage of it and it’s only a matter of time before SCP-096’s face is all over the internet.

These goggles were specifically programmed to selectively censor 096's face, but it turns out that the lenses didn't work, and it's likely for one of two reasons: 1) The computer isn't instantaneous. While whoever was looking at 096 with the goggles wouldn't have been able to consciously perceive it, there was a ludicrously small amount of time between the image of 096's face hitting the lens camera/the SCP agents' eyes and the computer recognizing it in order to censor it. This time was not enough for the task force to actually recognize 096's face, but that didn't matter, because they had still technically "seen" it. 2) The goggles' very access to 096's face compromised them. The computers in the goggles had to be trained to recognize 096's face, and this could very well have fallen within the criteria of the aggression trigger.
Portions of the Ikea dimension are indestructible so it would not be capable of just knocking it's way around. It would take a considerable amount of time to find you but it would definitely find you.

Look at it this way: there is an infinite amount of numbers between 1 and 2 (1.1, 1.12, 1.123, etc) but not a single one of those numbers is 3. Just because it's infinite, doesn't mean it covers all possibilities
I suppose it doesnt react to animals seeing its face, since its been in the snowy mountains, surely there were animals and microscopic bacteria there, it could just react to humans. Another example: Since it attacks its prey and rips them to shreds, the smell could attract flies, but it was never really documented that SCP-096 really attacked anything unhuman-like. First off, single-celled organisms don't have eyes, and those that can react to differences in light and dark are too small to really move any further than on scales we (and by extension SCP-096) need a microscope to see. Said microorganisms are also too small to smash like bugs. (Though that does give me an idea for some experiments with D-classes and a shrink/growth ray...) More importantly, bacteria are only able to respond in very simple ways to a handful of stimuli. None of them have nervous systems either, which suggests they lack the requisite consciousness necessary to perceive what little they can "see." And even if they could see us, the difference in scale is about on par with a single human on the surface of the moon; we would be distant celestial objects or the terrain the eke a living on. And those handful of pixels in that photo would be too massive for said bacteria to even see over the horizon.

Take Incident 096-1-A. At the very beginning, 096 is described as ripping through a cube of solid steel. It would have almost certainly caught a glimpse of itself in the reflection from the bent metal, and it didn’t kill itself then.
@@3EKDUGZ, His triggering works really weird. The Scrambles didn't work even though they censored his face because they were still looking at him directly. But for some reason he got triggered only when somebody NOTICED 4 pixels on the photo. Imagine, you take a picture, look at it and say "Yeah, it looks good" and continue your day. Nothing happens. But then somebody starts looking at that picture and "notices" 4 pixels and BAM, triggering happens. How does that work?! You already looked directly at photo, and even though you didn't notice those 4 pixels, you still looked at them. This is really confusing. It all could be escaped by just saying "They used a camera with timer and did a lot of photos. 1 of those photos was unlucky to capture 096's face, but they didn't see that bit in the pile of photos". Bam, problem solved.
Does SCP 096 only respond to human/intelligent witnesses? If you needed to distract it, could you show pictures of it to laboratory rats in multiple locations to keep it from attacking a person very far away?

I interpreted the desire camera differently. It's only the Shy Guy's face that sets him off, but he was completely gone from the photograph. How else could you describe a creature that is driven to intense misery shortly followed by murderous rage because someone saw it's face, other than to say it clearly hates itself? I mean, what does it do with itself when not in its rage state? It sits down and does absolutely nothing until it's set off; and with the fact that it clearly hates killing, it certainly isn't hoping someone will see it. My question is what would happen if someone triggered its rage state, but someone or something else killed it before it could? Would it just stay enraged, or kill whatever killed its prey out of pure rage? I've been thinking about this for a while.

I suppose it doesnt react to animals seeing its face, since its been in the snowy mountains, surely there were animals and microscopic bacteria there, it could just react to humans. Another example: Since it attacks its prey and rips them to shreds, the smell could attract flies, but it was never really documented that SCP-096 really attacked anything unhuman-like. Hope that answers your question.
First off, single-celled organisms don't have eyes, and those that can react to differences in light and dark are too small to really move any further than on scales we (and by extension SCP-096) need a microscope to see. Said microorganisms are also too small to smash like bugs. (Though that does give me an idea for some experiments with D-classes and a shrink/growth ray...)
More importantly, bacteria are only able to respond in very simple ways to a handful of stimuli. None of them have nervous systems either, which suggests they lack the requisite consciousness necessary to perceive what little they can "see." And even if they could see us, the difference in scale is about on par with a single human on the surface of the moon; we would be distant celestial objects or the terrain the eke a living on. And those handful of pixels in that photo would be too massive for said bacteria to even see over the horizon.

@@3EKDUGZ, His triggering works really weird. The Scrambles didn't work even though they censored his face because they were still looking at him directly. But for some reason he got triggered only when somebody NOTICED 4 pixels on the photo.
Imagine, you take a picture, look at it and say "Yeah, it looks good" and continue your day. Nothing happens. But then somebody starts looking at that picture and "notices" 4 pixels and BAM, triggering happens. How does that work?! You already looked directly at photo, and even though you didn't notice those 4 pixels, you still looked at them. This is really confusing.
It all could be escaped by just saying "They used a camera with timer and did a lot of photos. 1 of those photos was unlucky to capture 096's face, but they didn't see that bit in the pile of photos". Bam, problem solved.

I interpreted the desire camera differently. It's only the Shy Guy's face that sets him off, but he was completely gone from the photograph. How else could you describe a creature that is driven to intense misery shortly followed by murderous rage because someone saw it's face, other than to say it clearly hates itself? I mean, what does it do with itself when not in its rage state? It sits down and does absolutely nothing until it's set off; and with the fact that it clearly hates killing, it certainly isn't hoping someone will see it.
The photo was empty because the shy guy doesn't want to exist. Its life is absolutely miserable, doing nothing at all until its thrown into a state of misery and rage. I can hardly blame him.
