even though the 850's have an obd2 port, the motronic 4.3 isn't obd compliant, it works with the flash codes. You can fit a motronic 4.4 (after some mods) to an 850, then you can use the obd code reader.
Hmm. Pretty sure it is Mathew 🤔 I'm sure I've read codes of it before. Otherwise there would be a diagnostic unit next to the washer reservoir with the flylead. In Haynes manual it says from 1996 onwards motronic 4.3 for B5234 T engines. But you got me scratching my head now 🤣👍
@@850BRICK the early cars have the port behind the drivers headlight with the fly lead and button to get flash codes. The obd2 socket cars, you need to make a flash code reader, look online, just a switch resistor and led. I made one for my 850r with motronic 4.3. Currently doing a 4.4 ecu to put in restored 850r.
There is the chance that my T-5 has been upgraded to motronic 4.4 I suppose 🤔 I'll read the live data on my scanner tommorow to confirm obd2 port is definitely working.
@@850BRICK pull the cover of the ecu box, ecu if 4.3 will be 0261 203 xxx, motronic 4.4 0261 204 xxx
