    Organization is what brought me to this channel.. everything you spoke about I can relate in some shape or form. Once all the clutter disappears from the brain, it's a fantastic feeling of accomplishment. Looks great!

    Love tool grid. Love foam cutout. But using both and not having all the screw drivers together is killing me. Only reason why I think Snap-on boxes with huge drawers is the way to go. Open one drawer, every screwdriver. Open another every metric wrench,etc.

    I was always kind of peculiar but a job in my late teens into mid 20s as a truck driver, order puller, pallet builder, truck loader, grocery merchandiser, and crafting organized back stock, performing store resets, and receiving 60-140' of container worth of product weekly. It would have been oddly satisfying though it was annoying to not be able to get a raise past $9/hr because I would regularly make at least 25 hour of OT a week. I still cleared $30k take home though! My brain is so chaotic and frantic now though trying to maximize efficiency that it's been tough to work with others or focus on anything as my life was a constant state of workflow and preparation for so long. It's interesting to see bits of these quirks that others share that do amazing things with them.

    It’s so satisfying to work with the tool grid system. I spent ages setting it up in my Sonic cabinets. The foam inlays are great but my OCD couldn’t handle if I had rogue tools loose, so I love this combo setup!

    Matty, I'm loving watching you this week, driving a CRX, playing with griots, organizing, keeping the "janky temporary house", im really happy for you.
    Separately, I'm looking forward to next week when you decide to buy a new house and get a rivian and lotus delivered on the same day :)

    Hey Matt, Snap-On has a great solution for keeping track of tools. It’s called Snap-On ATC, and it uses cameras to check tools in and out of the drawers. I customized 4 of these toolboxes for my work as we have several technicians performing maintenance on the equipment. Had the toolboxes up and running for almost a year now at our factory and no missing tools yet. The guys love the boxes too and how easy it is to check equipment out.

    Hey Matt, living the dream that’s awesome how well the levrack goes so well with the Sonic. I have one pretty hard rule when people use my tools no problem with them using them they aren’t allowed to put them back in the drawers. I have them just put them on the countertop that way I’m the only one that puts them back in the proper place and cleaned also, I know right away if something is missing don’t know if that will work for you. Don’t know how often or how many people use the tools just thought I’d mention it have a great one as always..

    Why does obsessed garage not partner with guard dog inserts and they can make you custom foam inserts for any tool collection as well as put your logo on it. Don’t get me wrong I love toolgrid I have a ton of it. I was so impressed recently when I had guard dog make me a custom foam inlay for my flexilla air gun set

    You ever consider custom foam inserts by Trace my Space? They're laser cut and you can get logos etched on the surface. Seems like a cool option for those who like the Sonic tool foam system, but already have tools they like.

    How would you organize the little stuff, like bolts and nuts, and all kind of odd parts that usually left over from a car job? Even specialty tools like a torch or old brake fluid container? My shop gets clutter very quickly with all these stuff.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  Год назад +1

      I keep stuff to a minimum. I have one drawer that I sort through once a year with nuts and bolts.

  • @kingofkings2934
    @kingofkings2934 Год назад

    You should label the drawers then create a program were you type in what you want it tells you what drawer it's in have iPad on the counter top in my experience you will be pulling draws out all the time trying to find stuff.

    Great video, consider doing the garage hangs more frequently - lot of cool information. In a previous video going over PCL products you mentioned you preferred the Accura 1 with the Air Chuck but your website description says you like the new swiveling clip on more. Do you still feel the new swiveling clip on is the way to go? Gathering info before buying one. Thanks
