Wendi Markel was a legal mediocrity, and received employment only because she was a trailing spouse. Her book flopped because it had no merit. There is the bitterness of thinking that you are something special, when it is actually your husband who is something special.
Wendi Markel was strong and empowered up until the microsecond where she transformed into a victim. However she wasn't a victim, she was a vindictive organizer of murder. It was organized with the same precision that she displayed when dismantling the house.

When she was staying home, If she charger her husband the costs of all the things he got from her free: the price of having a personal cook, babysitting fees daily, cost of a cleaner- that would literally lead to about 1/2 of his bank account of the time they were together.
@Timothy Orten It depends on state law. In many cases, as long as both their names are on the account, each party has a right to any bank accounts. As long as her name is on the account, she could have taken all the money, not just half.
Well he told her if she ever left he would take the kids and she would leave penniless with the shirt on her back . So she thought it best to leave the way she did
I wouldn't call that embezzlement since they were married but it was most definitely messed up. Not particularly illegal tho, that's why marriage doesn't seem like a great idea to me.

Except the part where he demeans her behind closed f doors and repeatedly tells her how awful she is, that he's the only one who knows who she really is... having lived through a marriage like that, I can tell you it's excruciating. Historically speaking, that may have been the tip of the iceberg. Thankfully, we had no children, so becoming disentangled was much simpler. I haven't seen the end, so I hope she had nothing to do with his death.

@@MentourLawyer Yes, but only concrete evidence they had is Mr Riveras testimony. Judge may tell them to vote for life in prison. Usually when there is no video or dna evidence, capital punishment is denied. Im not 100% sure if the shooter was Garcia or Rivera.
