    The one thing about tarantino he knows how to play symbolism well. Towards the beginning of the movie when Pai Mei was training Beatrix he told her that her arm was his now so when you think about it Beatrix took out Elle's eye with Pai Mei's arm getting both his revenge and Beatrix vengeance against the one who killed her master

    • @kaylons
      @kaylons 3 года назад +90

      Def. Beatrix had the utmost respect of Pai Mei, so much so that she became his most accomplished student and is the _only_ other one who knew the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique. He finally used his arm to take out her eye, poetic justice at its brilliance

      In Part 1 I also realized she did the same move she did to Elle on one of the Krazy 88.

      Was so awesome
      How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? One more: Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust?
      Well I’m not judging you - but if you’ve done these things then you’re a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer-at-heart; that’s how seriously God takes sin. He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that He is perfect in justice; that means that just like a just judge does sentence criminals to pay for the wrong they caused, do does God sentence the payment of all sins - and if He were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 4 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? The answer is hell - the wrath of God upon you for your sin
      And the just God will punish ALL sin. Is that concerning?
      But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us.
      On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and Hell and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised. Jesus' perfect righteousness will be accredited to you and you can stand in a relationship with the God of the Universe, a Father. If you repent and believe the gospel.
      ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

    Kill Bill neat facts:
    -Bill is played by a legendary star of the a very very successful tv show call "Kung Fu" and his name is David Carridine. In "Kung Fu" he plays a monk that walks the earth and basically does karate.
    -these were originally one movie but it got too long and they split it into two releases. So think of it as one movie.
    -The Beatrix's yellow suit in volume one is an homage to Bruce Lee's yellow suit in the Movie "Game of Death."
    -Hattori Hanzo is played by Legendary Japanese martial arts fill star Sonny Chiba.
    -Uma Thurman, starred in other Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction but was also famous for "Gattaca" starring Jude Law & Ethan Hawke. Which might be worth a watch honestly.
    -The idea of a five man hit squad in this movie is loosely hinted at in Pulp Fiction when Uma Thurman's character tells Vincent Vega the her movie idea "Fox Force Five".
    The stylistic changes are obviously on purpose but they are also homage's to film genre's Tarantion likes, the Japanese Anime of the Oren ishi-ii scene, Black and white film noir, the Kung fu parts are with Pai Mei are in the style of the those old school gravity defying kung fu films.

    His next movie, Death Proof, is part of a double feature with Robert Rodriguez, called Grindhouse.
    There is also an extended cut of Death Proof, which, in my opinion, is better than the Grindhouse cut.
    BUT the movie makes more sense and is just way more fun with the context of the double feature.
    So, long story short: Watch the Grindhouse double feature and then switch to the extended cut as Death Proof is about to start for the ideal watching experience!

He knew what she was there to do, and Bill as skilled as he was, probably could have and would have, killed her. Even drunk he easily disarms her no more than a few seconds after this.
    He wasn’t going to take her from B.B. again.
    It does put the scene in a new light when you realize from the beginning of it that he’s drinking till finally at this conclusion which is the only way she is able to take him in a one on one scenario. Says a lot really.

    The Mythbusters actually tested the punching out of a coffin scene. The pressure of the dirt prevents any chance of punching a hole in the coffin by any means. And if you do, you'll be crushed and there's no way to dig back out. Still love the scene nonetheless!

      I hate when people try to apply real world physics to a movie, when it has already established that it exists in a fictional reality where one woman can kill over 80 men single handed. If Beatrix Kiddo actually existed, she would absolutely be able to break that coffin, because the movie established that she can.

      @Watsuda 3 года назад

      @@Rocket1377 Yeah, I usually dislike the "why are you looking for plot holes in a movie with flying wizards" argument, but it kinda works here: The entire movie has had cartoon logic up until that point, with blood geysers, people flying around and kicking someone ten feet across the room, and an anime training montage that allowed her to learn a heart exploding technique, so something like digging upwards from a coffin isn't that much of a movie sin.

      @@FullMetalB I know right. I mean sheesh- how stupid could they be. All they had to do was pick the most popular EU books and they could have picked up 40 to 60 billion dollars. You know.. the one where Luke founds a Jedi school, gets married to a powerful Female Jedi Mara Jade, and has kids and a happy life. The one where Han and Leia also have a happy family life and serve as generals.

      @@macmcleod1188 I would ask myself if i had any problems with women, if i were you.
      What made you get the idea that they wanted to "destroy man" with a movie? The guy from the earlier comment isn't agreeing with you, he is quoting your absurd idea.

    • @macmcleod1188
      @macmcleod1188 3 года назад

      @@Roger6233 Yes you might. However, the mirror question to that is *does* the staff have any problem with male characters since no female characters were treated this way while all four primary male characters were.
      Finn was made the butt of jokes.
      Poe was literally humiliated in front of the rest of the crew.
      Luke was portrayed in a way that violated his established character for 4 decades.
      Han regressed back into a lowlife deadbeat who had to pay mobsters money.
      Plus we saw photos of the work environment where Diskey employees had a red "X" drawn over Luke Skywalker's face.
      We can never know for sure. But it's not as easy as simply trying to gaslight me.
      The fact is that they drove away over half the audience. They killed the profitability of a multi-billion dollar franchise that had been going for 4 decades. And they ignored 40-60 popular, highly profitable properties to do so.
      It was dumb.

    Tarantino uses a lot of music from the great composer Ennio Morricone, who made the music for a the Good The Bad and the Ugly and other spaghetti westerns, but won an Oscar for his music made for The Hateful Eight. The Hateful Eight is an underrated Tarantino movie with great dialogue and suspense. . Would love to see your reaction to that one :)
    The Good, The Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West (has music by Ennio Morricone too) are music I highly recommend too!

    What is great about Tarantino is that as a director he is way more emotionally aware than you would think at first glance. You’d think he’s all about cool shots, memorable dialogue, unconventional effects. But in the end he does everything to make us feel the reality of the movie more intensely. The dread of being buried alive and tortured, the euphoria of revenge, the deep gratitude at having back your child, a mother’s love. It’s all there.
