People like Robert know how to do a remake or a reimagining if you will. Most remakes now are Directed by complete unknown Directors. I have faith in this
Agreed on all points!
I'm excited for an actually scary, not cheesy or campy vampire movie
Same here it is much needed in the genre
Defoe played The Count in Shadow of the Vampire, a unique take on the filming of Nosferatu. It has one of the most beautiful scenes in cinema history, when The Count sees a sunrise for the first time as he is sneaking through the dailies.
I am checking this out tonight
"the old creepy ass, Pennywise" lol Yep, old and creepy he was indeed. I've recently got the 1979 Nosferatu played by Klaus Kinski (talk about old and creepy ass people!) on dvd, and I'm waiting for my copy of FW Murnau's Nosferatu Symphony of the Night to arrive. I don't know if you've seen it, but Shadow of the Vampire is an excellent film about the making of Murnau's film, and Count Orlok in that is played by none other than Willem Dafoe!
Fact: Willem Dafoe did play max schreck in the documentary movie of Nosferatu (1922) called "shadow of the vampire " (2000).
I'm watching this tonight! Can't believe I haven't seen it yet
@@andytalkshere are you going to react to it along with the original Nosferatu (1922) in preparation for this upcoming remake?
I'm planning on it! Going to do a video next week with highlights of my reaction/thoughts on both -- I haven't watched the 1922 version since I was a kid so I'm interested to see what I get from it now
@@andytalkshere ok, I'm looking forward to it.
Robert has been wanting to remake Nosferatu for a long long time. He produced a high school stageplay in 2001 when he was around 18 years old. He played Count Orlok himself. He was originally going to make Nosferatu his directorial debut but it was too ambituous at the time.
This makes me even more excited to see how it turns out!
@@andytalkshereI was about to say the same thing lmao this movie is gonna be sick!
Nosferatu was made on 1922, not 1929.
Actually?? Like you’re surprised? It’s Robert Eggers
It does look promising and I am excited...however I am concerned about the trailers giving away too much of the movie. This is supposed to be a teaser trailer..and it's almost two minutes long??
whats cool about Eggers is he did his own theatre productions of Nosferatu when he was younger. Nice to see someone with the directing style and long term passion of Eggers doing the remake
Thank you bro love what you doing
