It's always been amazing to me that a old school injector could fire several thousand times a minute with 3-5 moving parts and last so long. Even more amazing that heui injectors work at all and last as long as they do.

I changed mine in 345000 miles. Injector cops glow plugs and it's working perfect. I have a little bit of blow by Blow by before. After I make the changes there's no blow by and I can start my truck on 5゚F with no problem.
It would be cool to see someone take one apart, I'm trying to imagine how they're built to be so precise and the intensity of the springs. That's really awesome, now to youtube injector tear downs and inner parts.

I’ll be looking at replacing my injectors down the road, I’m going to keep them stock, is there any details you could share on that? Like rebuilt, new, ford etc?
Hey Clint, I got a question. I’m going through and replacing parts on a 7.3 I just picked up. It sometimes will start and sometimes won’t. I replaced the ICP, CPS, the fuel hose cuz they were mold and crusty and the glow plugs. Now she’s cranks but won’t fire. I’m thinking this could be the ipr since it looks original to the truck. It’s got 190k on it and I can’t figure anything else that would cause that.
Best to load up the app of forscan and get this wifi obd amzn.to/3I43Hja choose ipr , hpop, icp, cps pids and monitor these pressures each pid will give you a explanation of the range Then there is no guessing , forscan app is free it also can give you better trouble codes for future diagnoses

check the fuse's the relay if those are good are the connections at the pump good and correct , fuel pumps can be bad right out of the box also, if the previous is all good hook up a line from a fuel tank to the back inlet of the pump like a 3 or 5 gallon fuel can turn the key to on engine off see if it draws from the can also you can disconnect the pump leads and direct jump those leads of a battery to see if the pump works then you know if you have a wire, fuse or relay issue

Stage 1 injector rebuild is being filmed this coming week and due out in the next week to 2 weeks
