Your video today was an offering of peace amidst very turbulent times. We live in a suburb of Minneapolis and are in need the spirit that flowers can bring. I scrolled right past the endless fear-driven news posts to find a glimmer of hope in your garden. Thank you. 🌸
Hi Laura! Quick delicious Brussels sprout “recipe” that even my very picky veggie hating husband likes. Cut in half, coat in oil, and s&p then roast between 400-425 till golden brown. When they look good to you drizzle over some honey and sprinkle with red pepper flakes. Let them sit in the hot oven for a few minutes to warm up the honey and have it caramelize a bit then toss and serve. So good! I love the crunchy sweet and spicy leaves that pop off during baking the most. Hope you see this and like it!
Your garden is my favorite, and I enjoy waking up to your videos every day. My 10-year old daughter and I love watching your videos together, and we planted in our garden yesterday . My daughter said “Mom, if Garden Answer could see everything we planted today she would be so happy!” Lol Thank you for sharing, it definitely gives us inspiration 💗
I'd actually love another video where you just go around and water things early in the morning. Just the sound of the water with different views of your garden would be peaceful and amazing.

Nastassia Fritsche Roots and Refuge turned me offfff so much. I watched the messes and might have gleaned some information, BUT, WATCHED THE VIDEO ABOUT NEW PROPERTY. OMG - I actually screamed out with happiness when I saw an hour long video tour :) Soooo happy. I was just re-watching the April tour (for the 100th time) this morning
I know, love the lengthy videos just as much as a short one. Sounds like she apologizing for punishing us with all that time we have to look at her garden lol If I can't watch it all in one sitting, I just go back to the history in my library and finish it. We like long videos too Laura!❤💕

I dragged one of those kits on a plane for my sister when my nephew was Benjamin's age and man, that was dumb. Basically, I had a bag of concrete on my lap for more than two hours.

Your comment made me think that even though I can’t duplicate them exactly, I could come up with something close. I could set tile in the concrete. Future DIY! Thanks.
I love your tours. Your hard work is definitely showing throughout the gardens. I love those huge globe alums. I must plant some for next year. I need to cut some trees down so I can have more Rose's All your Roses make me want more. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. You and Aaron have done an excellent job with this channel. We all love you both plus Benjamin. Have a great day.
I don’t know who wouldn’t stick around to the very end!! 💛 Everything is filling in amazingly! You’re doing a fantastic job of putting colors and textures together. I also like that you show us that you take things out that don’t do well - it’s freeing to not feel guilty when I do that too. About those random sunflowers popping up...I bet they’re from the bird feeders you had hanging in the tree near the gazebo 😊
I love this channel ❤️, not only is she an awesome 👏🏻 gardener she’s also made for the camera 🎥 no one else can even hold a candle to Laura !Some other gardeners just go blah blah blah
I love that you show the imperfections as well. This is just my second year gardening and so many times I have felt so discouraged because it doesn’t ever look perfect. Watching you struggle with watering made me feel so much better.
Yes Laura, we watched the whole tour and we love it! I brought food and drinks before I started viewing so that I could appreciate everything you showed and said 😊 Great job Aaron in capturing the beauty of the garden 👍
For cooking brussels sprouts, my family always loves to have them cut in half, drizzled with oil and roasted on a sheet pan so the bottoms get a bit of browning but the centres are soft, then tossed with some bacon chopped into small pieces. Your garden is looking absolutely glorious! So so much inspiration 😍
I like my brussels sprouts roasted with a balsamic glaze. I make them for Thanksgiving every year. My husband hates brussels sprouts, but he'll always eat those!
Yes..roasting brussel sprouts, like kat attack said...also, thinly slice them raw and put into a salad...or, just steaming them. I love them all ways. 🤤
I agree that roasted with olive oil, salt, and pepper is the best way to eat brussel sprouts. Drizzled with balsamic vinegar after roasting is yummy. My family also likes it when I toss with parmesan cheese too.
What a wonderful tour! I suggest you do a project with Benjamin and make your own round garden stepping stones. You can easily create a mold and pour concrete in, and when it is slightly firm, Benjamin can 'write" on them and decorate them. It would be a fun project for the 3 of you and would create a wonderful memory for him. Plus, every time you are out in the garden, they will make you think of your beautiful little boy. Glad to see you spotlight the huge Globe master Alliums! I just can't get enough of those. They just look magical... What is the name of the blue iris that smells like grapes? I may just want to plant some of those..... :-)
Please tell us about the deep blueish iris. I worked at a flower shop for thirteen years but I just arranged the gorgeous blue iris into vases of pink and yellow roses and lots of dainty spring colors! I never learned about growing anything. You’ve inspired me to begin a small garden or two.
You tours are always a joy to watch. But I must give kudos to your turf master! Your beds are glorious but they are absolutely set off by the wonderful expanse of gorgeous turf. And I know keeping your turf looking so great is no easy task. 😁
Laura (and Aaron), thanks so much for the full tour. I know it's a lot of work for the two of you but I wanted you to know how much it's appreciated. The highlight for me was all the alliums. They look awesome! The perennial salvia look terrific too.
Thank you for reminding us that sometimes you need to let plants rebound, to be patient, and that sometimes things don’t work and die...even in your garden! It makes me feel better as a new gardener!

I know it takes so much work and commitment to keep gardens that beautiful. I can really appreciate all of the work you and your husband put in. Sounds like you have a great partnership.
Uena, I gardened before but it was a mess, one of this and one of that kind of mess. Now I plan before going to the garden center and plant in groupings like Laura does and my garden beds look so much prettier.
There is no way you could have known how much we all needed a video like this today but I thank you anyway. Your videos are always so educational, entertaining, and soothing. When I need to escape the day I head straight to your channel and watch videos until I can compose myself to carry on. I know you feel bad if things are not exactly perfect, but it really does reassure me that I'm not alone with a few wilty, brown leaves, and things taking over where I don't want it. Your "formal lettuce garden " lol has inspired me. I'm looking for the right variety to plant as a ground cover in my front flower bed in spring. Thank you both for being the sunshine in a stressful environment. Your hours of hard work for projects, filming, editing, answering questions, and sharing your journey are very much appreciated. You make a difference in more ways than you know.
Although it is harder to see in the sunlight, I really appreciate being able to see how the sun hits in some of your beds. I was hard to image the amount of sun you actually get in the other tours. Thanks for going ahead with the tour! 🤗💓
"If you watched the whole thing" ... You could put up a 4 hour video and I would make a pot of tea and sit and watch the whole thing with joy!!! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden, you are such an inspiration! I watch your tours with a little note pad and write down what plants I want to add to my own garden :)
I stayed though the whole thing... enjoyed every minute! Thanks for the tour. I hope you get a chance to give us another tour of your mothers garden as well, once everything has bloomed and filled in. Beautiful
Hi Madeleine! I love trying to solve mysteries, especially identifying plants...I looked this one up and totally concur. I believe it's spelled Thalictrum aquilegiifolium.
Make those stepping stones! Cake pans lined with cooking oil + mix up some concrete + have Benjamin put some hand and foot prints in them, or put some pretty stones/shells/glass cabachons, etc. Oh my word, what fun you guys could have!
Beautiful garden area! So inspiring! I wouldn't get anything done but gardening because that is all I would want to do! I hope you know how blessed you are to have all that space, I love making/watching things grow, especially from seed to full plant!
Hi Laura, your garden is gorgeous. Don’t apologize for anything in your garden, that’s the way it is! Relax and enjoy it. Thank you for the long tour I was waiting for it. Yay 😃
Omg, I loved this garden tour! I found myself pausing the video and writing down the names of plants I'd like to add to my garden. Thank you for sharing.
You are such an inspiration, Laura! I so appreciate all of the hard work that you and Aaron put in to such a beautiful landscape and then share it with us!!!
Wow, I’m impressed anytime someone knows a plant’s name that I don’t see often in my area. I’m even impressed by her knowledge and memory of plant names! Cheers mate! 🥂
Rewatched this garden tour in March '21 for some hope and inspiration. I was scrolling through to see whether anyone answered the question about what that plant was, because I recognized it. The only reason I know is because I saw it on one of The Impatient Gardener's videos and it struck a chord! Well, lo and behold, guess who had provided an answer! Unfortunately, they were sold out by the time I began looking, but maybe next year... Thanks, Erin!
🌿🐝Another beautifully presented tour...I could just “wonder” around (pun intended..lol!) all day long! As I’m new to the gardening world, I can’t help but be amazed by the time & care gardeners put into their spaces...not just an investment of money (which, let’s face it, can be extreme🙈) but it’s an investment of the gardener, themselves...their life...time spent that cannot be taken back. Now, when I see planted up spaces, or even minimal gardens meticulously trimmed & pristine...I see life for life. Ok...I better back off the caffeine...my mind just went on a philosophical adventure. So...love the tour!😂🤣🐝🌿
You are light in a darkening world. Happiness in a garden with good people makes it a place people want to visit. You have taught me so much about gardening. All you need is a couple of Cane Corso great family dogs.
Laura your gardening chanel has been such a blessing in my life, I've been subscriber for about 2 years now and I'm still learning so much everyday...I have been collecting ideas and started my own notebook.(dollar store titled "Just Bloom") This is a hobby that I absolutely cant get enough of, I want to THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your video's and knowledge, looking so forward to the new property planting. Bless you and your family for all you do.
The bright sunshine against all the greens in your garden, giving a magical glow....so beautiful!!....what a day for your garden tour.. Thanks for sharing...
I don’t understand y u r so hard on yourself. Your garden is absolutely beautiful and inspiring! I can’t imagine how lovely it all is in person! I have only grown vegetables and am now inspired to add some landscaping filled with flowers for the bees and to beautify my property! Right now it’s a very nice simple lawn! Thank you!!
Thank you!! Today I finished installing my drip irrigation system! And it was SO EASY with all the videos you created on drip & always repairing your system 🤣It will make my gardening life easier. Love your tours and seeing how your beautiful property is blooming! 🌺
You are so inspiring! I love watching your videos no matter how long they are😊 I have gone out and made my flower beds the best they have ever looked thanks to your videos! Keep them coming.
Thank y’all so much for doing this tour! I can’t imagine how much work it must be for you. Laura, I feel your pain about digging out things that still look beautiful. I can hardly do it! Everything, especially the roses, is just spectacular! Thank you for taking the time on individual plants and giving updates. It really helps to know how long plants have been in the ground to know about what to expect from year to year. Aaron, great job as always with the videography! Awesome tour! Cannot wait to see the diamond mountain euphorbia on the west side. It is going to be great! Thanks again! ~Sherri 🙌🙌💚🌿🌷🌳🥦
Your garden is beautiful, artistic, and a little piece of paradise. Good to hear that you will be expanding as the area around you needs your gardening skills to make it come alive again.
I started watching your channel about 2 months, and absolutely love watching every video. It is encouraging to hear about your wind storms and your gardens still look beautiful. I live in Northern Montana, in grain farming land. We have terrible wind storms. Just had one today, and one of my new rose bush had broken stems by the end of the day. I was a beginner enthusiastic gardener about 20 years, and got so discouraged I almost stopped all gardening. But now I'm getting back into planting, because of you. Thank you!
I so enjoyed every minute of this video. Everything is looking so pretty. Even the grass is beautiful. Iris are my favorite flower and you have amazing ones. I found a gomphrena and planted it in a container with white lobelia this week. Hope it does good in a container. If not, I’ll move it out in a bed. Brussel sprouts are delicious. Cut them in half, add a little olive oil and salt & pepper and roast them in the oven. So good! The only way that I fix mine now. Enjoy.
Thank you for making my Sunday morning so darn wonderful! Coffee and watching your videos is a great time for me. I love the layered look area. Plz do a video on areas of your garden that captures sunrise and sunsets......maybe also mom’s garden too???🌅
I’m showing my husband this!!! He makes fun of me for running to grab the hose as soon as I see my hydrangeas drooping. We could be on our way to church & if I walk out and see drooping, I’ll stop everything & water! 🤣
I’ve run a drip line into my fountain so it gets topped up a little every day when my pots get watered. Maybe you can do thst to keep your fountain filled.
I would watch this tour all day long, haha. One hour of your garden flies by. I love that you always talks about each plant and with so much passion. It's just really fun to watch.
The birds that we feed have dropped some random sunflower seeds here and there. I leave the sunflowers when they pop up. It makes me laugh. It's like a tribute to where all those little dudes have been.
I have been growing plants sense I was a child, But the thing is ,I have learned so much from you guys. Thank you for all the awesome things that you do in the plant world. you both are awesome.
Adore the "bless their hearts" regarding the volunteer sunflowers. So wholesome and sweet :) Hope they give you great big blooms as thanks for letting them stay. Awesome garden tour as always! Love these long videos.
You could record your videos in black and white or use a “photo negative” filter and I’d still watch. Your enthusiasm would allow me to imagine the colors and beauty. 🤣 I know you want to bring us the best POV as possible and you two do a fantastic job, regardless of who is recording. Laura and Aaron, your videos have not only been informative and inspiring but they are literally a visual pacifier whenever I’m feeling anxious or when work is stressful. So thank you for being on my TV darn near 24/7. My zen channel. Thank you. 💕
Good Morning Laura and Aaron 🌷! Thank You for the extensive tour, and for being so forthright about what there still needs to be done. I hear and share your angst in regards the impending very windy weather, we have been having unfamiliar weather patterns here in Seacoast New England also. One great day followed by a day of cooler temps but high winds we normally associate with fall. Days of too much rain-ugh!Since March is long over those winds are not helpful re any plantings.Take a deep breath Laura, you both have SO much on your plates, remember to take each task without stressing about the next. This is something I’ve struggled with all my life, and still have to remind myself to do @ 68 years of age. Take it in-you are both crazy busy, but don’t miss the joy of it all, you are very blessed!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden, you are such an inspiration! I watch your tours with a little note pad and write down what plants I want to add to my own garden :)
I feel exactly the same way and also I’m taking notes ! Wish I knew shorthand🤣🤣
I stayed though the whole thing... enjoyed every minute! Thanks for the tour. I hope you get a chance to give us another tour of your mothers garden as well, once everything has bloomed and filled in. Beautiful
This was so wonderful that I watched it twice! It brings me much needed peace and happiness during such a tough time. Thank you!
The plant you can’t remember the name of at 26.48 is Thalactrum Aquilegifolium, also known as Greater Meadow Rue. (I think 😊)
Hi Madeleine! I love trying to solve mysteries, especially identifying plants...I looked this one up and totally concur. I believe it's spelled Thalictrum aquilegiifolium.
how do you remember the name? superb..it difficult to me to pronouns although to remember that name😅
Madeleine White that’s what I thought too. Lol
👍🏽 Thalictrum aquilegifolium... die große Wiesenraute😁
It's also called French Meadow Rue or Siberian Columbine. I have one that blooms white.
Not only is the tour so interesting and educational...but you, the gardening guide are very friendly and natural. Bravo!
Your tours show everything, not just the success, and I really appreciate that! Thank you for being so accessible!
There’s nothing more relaxing than watching. a garden video such as your garden tours. Keep up the good work! 🤓🌷🌿🌺🌷🌿🌺
🎉What a way to start a morning! 🎉❤️☕️🚜🐈🐈🌸🌹🌼❤️🎉 Gorgeous garden, love the colors and layers.
Beautiful garden! I’d love to see a tour of all your trees!
Of course I watched the whole thing!! Now church starts in 15 minutes. Perfect timing.
Never get tired of y’all watching your videos! I wish you were my friend In real life so you could help me with my garden lol
Yay 😃
Thank you for the tour of your beautiful gardens! It's so easy to see that you work very hard to make everything grow healthy and strong.
Omg, I loved this garden tour! I found myself pausing the video and writing down the names of plants I'd like to add to my garden. Thank you for sharing.
I do, too! I search for them on Pinterest and put them on my Garden Answer page.
You are such an inspiration, Laura! I so appreciate all of the hard work that you and Aaron put in to such a beautiful landscape and then share it with us!!!
26:47 Thalictrum, probably ‘Black Stockings’
Still haven't been able to figure out who you lost that bet to. :)
@@leecorrigan8394 Hahaha😂😂
The Impatient Gardener ~ For This 'Garden Answer' . . . Laura Owes You One . . . lol
You are a ray of sunshine and peaceful rest in a sad and difficult time. Thank you for being you!
You had me at Dimetapp. :-) Wonderful tour--thanks for bringing joy in a troubled world!
Great tour! I am sure it is exhausting. But I wouldn’t mind an even longer tour.
You are light in a darkening world. Happiness in a garden with good people makes it a place people want to visit. You have taught me so much about gardening. All you need is a couple of Cane Corso great family dogs.
Got my 🐶 on my lap and my ☕️ in hand, ❤️ these tours!
Greetings from Durban, South Africa 🙋🏽♀️ It’s the first time I catch your video as soon as it is uploaded. I love your videos 🧚🏼♀️

Loved your gardens. Thank you so much for taking time showing us and sharing your experience with us .😘😍
26:45 the name of that is : Thalictrum aquilegifolium hybride 'Black Stockings'. Greetings from Germany. Hope the storm won't do much harm. 🤞
Stefan T. , yes, commonly known as Meadow Rue
Wow. +1 for you. Gold star, bro.
@@barbaramccann7944 I only knew the German name.. Wiesenraute .. so I had to look it up :P
I just purchased 3 o these plants as plug plants so good to see them in the garden setting.
Yes, it is a thalictrum. Not sure the variety is Black Stockings. Mine reaches 2.5 metres when in flower.
The mystery perennial is Thalictrum or Meadow Rue. I love them too.
Enjoy.
Same=brussel sprouts cookie sheet in the oven :)
stephaniestatnick So Yummy!
Love the tour! Will watch again..... and again. Thank you for showing us your beautiful garden. So much hard work ya'll have done.
Don’t ever apologize to us about having to water or anything. We love to just watch you in your natural care for your gardens!💚💚😘🙏🏻👍👍👍👏👏👏
Wow, that grass is gorgeous. I wish I had grass like that.
Thank you for making my Sunday morning so darn wonderful! Coffee and watching your videos is a great time for me. I love the layered look area. Plz do a video on areas of your garden that captures sunrise and sunsets......maybe also mom’s garden too???🌅
Yep, I watched the whole thing. Your voice is so soothing and I'm learning a ton!
Just make some round stepping stones for Benjamin's garden. He can help you make them. Shade cloth for the chicken coop?
The sound of water in the garden is beautiful! and such a must.........soooo relaxing to say the least.
I’m showing my husband this!!! He makes fun of me for running to grab the hose as soon as I see my hydrangeas drooping. We could be on our way to church & if I walk out and see drooping, I’ll stop everything & water! 🤣
Yuhu I like garden
Haha I do that too 🤣
This happened to me yesterday with my potato pots.
Thank you for an amazing tour! Every video you made I learning a lot and I get more ideas.. I send you all my love and gratitude 💜
I’ve run a drip line into my fountain so it gets topped up a little every day when my pots get watered. Maybe you can do thst to keep your fountain filled.
Laurie A I think this is a brilliant idea! I’m definitely going to try it! Thanks, Laurie! 🙌💚
Laurie A ~ What A Great Resolve ! . . . So Kind Of You To Share It. ~ Thank You ! =-)
Great tip!
Laurie A hi love your beautiful garden, have a question how do u do it to have a beautiful green grass
I do the same thing with 3 of my water features. Works great as long as the end bubbler sticks just a tiny bit above the water line .
I do watch your garden tours. I leave it playing while i cook, eat, work. You are like my company.
🦋The weeping willow is dreamy and your roses are gorgeous. Beautiful tour! 🦋
I’m new to gardening and I am so inspired by you. I love your garden and appreciate all that you share with us.
