This Guy's story and mainly his ability to tell it is Incredible! Best part is he was given a Million Dollar Voice and had he gone into Theater at a young age like that teacher wanted he probably would of been steered into voice work at a young age. Being a sort of "Recovering Career Criminal" myself I really Identify with so much of his story. He's the kind of Guy that you meet for a drink and end up talking until close.

My dad's name is William Gibson and he was born in Williamson, WV hospital in 1942. My dad's grandpa was a sheriff in Hazard county of 400 people in those days. Around, 1874. Anyhow, he got shot in the back with a 12 gauge, because he complained of his neighbors hogs eating his garden up. Think about this. The sheriff of the county confronts you and tells you, if I every catch your hags in my garden I will kill them and eat them. After saying that, he turned around to go home and the rest is history. He really tells the story of his childhood very well and in a comedic tone, even though at the core it is extremely sad and heartbreaking. Really shows how that even raised in a hellish, abusive and violent childhood you can still change for the better. I was lucky to be raised by two loving and caring parents, looking back I was very lucky to have such a great environment to grow up in, I still rebelled to my parents alot, always wanted to make my own decisions and choices even if they were the worst possible ones. I had every option and path to a greater adult life, but I took the path of crime. I always did not liked crimes that affected the victims and it took about 10 years or so for me to stay away from those types of crimes that affected the average person. I now wish that I had listened to my parents and took every piece of advice that they had tried to give me, I would be in a much greater position in life right now, but you can't dwell on these types of things you have to just get up and move on to a better life.

I had to do 6 months state time at age 18 at a minimum yard where they had a boot camp program. Expungement was dependent on the completion of the program and 2 years supervised release or I was looking at 15 years state time. Basically got caught blackmailing a professor sleeping with a student of his, and thank christ I came in under the minimums for the feds to get involved. Anyhow, I had full support of my family and was able to start right back in college, albeit a Different college! 20 years later and Im an airline captain. Easily could have gone the other way if my family wasn't there to pick up the pieces until I got going on my own power.

Give me your top interviews 1 through 5 on Konkrete. I trust your judgment. I had Matt Cox pretty high too.

@Brett Johnson John Boseak I like his interview as well though, I don't agree with this other guy comment, However this was a great interview 👍 and I really want to start my own podcast soon and I would love to have you on mines as well.

@@diorcarter9084 That tiny bald guy claims he took edibles before the interview, so he was talking in circles and would lose his train of thought mid sentence at times. He also couldn’t remember things and blamed it on being ‘too high’. It was pretty stupid to do right before an interview that you could really capitalize off of like Matt Cox has!
