- Yin Shou Gun, The Staff with the hands held in Yin, is one of my favorite sequences. When I studied it at the Shaolin temple in the 1980s by master Liang Yiquan it was also called the "baker monk's stick". In this video I point out some details and explain the main martial concepts. I also talk about some differences between how we were taught this Taolu then and how I see it performed today in Shaolin competitions.

Ciao. With the whips and the three-section stick it is even more difficult to work in a confined space and this makes it interesting. In any case it is important to practice weapons in their natural space. When the weather is bad I stay under the roof and transform necessity into virtue.

master ti chiedo se ci vuole molto tempo per imparare questa disciplina e quel bastone quanto misura?
Il Bastone Shaolin, per tradizione è lungo quattro dita sopra la testa del praticante. Non si studia da solo, fa parte dello stile Shaolin Quan. In "media" per conoscere uno stile ci vogliono intorno ai cinque o sette anni, come in qualsiasi percorso di studio universitario, le arti marziali non fanno eccezione. Far veramente bene qualcosa è invece il cammino di tutta una vita.
