I've seen a lot of abridged series get cancelled or dropped out of nowhere. It's nice and satisfying to see this one make it until the very end.
These days only a handful are left. Glad to see a series that finished. This will have a special place in heart along with tfs dragonball(even though they didn't do the buu saga they gave us a good ending)
Of season 1... There's going to be a second season of GS at some point, so this isn't really the end.

@@Djorgal I think there's a very simple check: Since the goblin way of life is goblinating any species that doesn't require goblinating to procreate cannot be a goblin. Which I think could put Succubi into the category of Goblins depending on if that is procreation or food. (I haven't looked into the DnD lore to know).
Well, most goblins don’t live more than 5-10 years, so I doubt they really know much more than basic instinct. Those rare exceptions probably know more than most of their entire race.

Funny thing is is in the canon material he’s the undisputed strongest of the party and possibly the guild. He has magic, martial skill and great weapons. He has great physical strength and speed, he’s intelligent and wise, and he’s a got a good heart.

A detail i really liked is the Goblin Lord clarifying that his axe is magical and taken from a previous fighter validating Goblin Slayers ideology of only using cheap weapons and armor.

@@flamingrubys11 I have only DM'd a single campaign, but I did have a character in that campaign, who was two goblins in a trench coat (the character was a mutliclassed fighter and artificer, one of the goblins was the fighter, the other was the artificer.)
This isn't a story about overcoming obsession, it's a story about engaging in your obsession so fucking hard that it becomes a fun bonding experiece for everyone in your life

really love the gag that lizard priest is intentionally trying to come off as stupid dumb and weak. knowing its because he wants to stay in the team, i assume he just doesn't wanna hurt their feelings by making them feel inferior around him.
Without going back and re-watching, he might be the only member of the team who doesn't have a serious struggle/setback. GS dies twice. Priestess gets chomped. Elf is nearly taken down ang goblinbanged, while dwarf goes down trying to help her. But I don't remember any such thing for lizard priest. Guess he was just too powerful.
Sorta says something more about his evilness that he was willing to watch all the rest of that rather than blow his own cover.

We did a lot of research and math for this episode to figure out how rich Goblin Slayer was. Using Pathfinder's Starting Gold index and factoring Goblin Slayer to be a level 11 adventurer, we came up with the 82,000 gold, and assumed he'd spent tens of thousands on various things (healing spells, potions, and magic items like the Gate scroll) over his adventures, leaving him with the 55k gold he had under that mattress. But how much would that be worth in real life?
Well, I have the answer for that too. Using the rules for item weight in pathfinder, 50 coins weigh a pound. 55,000 divided by 50 is 1,100 pounds of gold coins, or a quarter bessie. Luckily for Goblin slayer, gold in his time would be above 95% purity, but lack refinement techniques to guarantee 100% purity, averaging each coin to 23 karats.
From there, we have handy calculators that can tell us what that's worth! 1,100 pounds is about 498,951 grams, and 498,951 grams of 23 karat gold is worth...
Let's see, calculating...
$26,390,964.35 USD in today's money! You can make fun of GS for a lot of things, but you sure can't call him broke.

Lancer’s “WHAT THE FUCK” when Guild Girl straight up asks Goblin Slayer on a date made me laugh out loud
The call back to episode two when Lancer was trying to ask her out or whatever he was trying to do makes it even funnier( and he also wants to be better then the Slayer which makes it even better on he Lancer tired so hard failed and Slayer just sat and didn’t even speak)

It's not surprising Goblin Slayer would be secretly loaded. Dude takes quests no one else does, keeps his armor tended himself unless absolutely broken, buys bare minimum equipment and lives on a small farm with his childhood friend and pays rent once a month.

You know, Goblin Slayer is one of the few animes where the abridged version and the normal anime are both equal. Seriously both of them are amazing and I love what you guys have done with the characters.
I like that you actually put doom music over the goblin slayer vs. Goblin lord fight, as well as the fact that both of them had to look into whether or not elves are goblins

Goblin slayer is well versed at fighting anything because he was trained as a rogue and an assassin by his master, GS also knows where the assassin’s guild is located in his town. GS just doesn’t know the name of other monsters aside from goblins, so please don’t discount GS’ abilities by limiting his capabilities.

You did it, you freaking did it Grimmjack. I can't imagine how much work the entire team put in to finishing an abridged series and keeping it hilarious. No drop in quality. No giving up halfway through. No quickly popping out episodes just to say you did it. You should all be very proud of this.
Honestly after so many setbacks from RUclips and Copyright Strikes from the past couple years, seeing this finale really is a wonderful Christmas present. Thank you to both you and your team, this has been such a wonderful ride! Goblin Slayer is legitimately one of my favorite anime series, so it's great seeing it parodied by a team of writers who seems to really get why the original series work so well, and to make jokes in celebration of the original story and DnD, rather than in spite of.

Expected Goblin Lord's voice to turn into Child like when speaking "I'm sorry" but it is still satisfying that they maintain the seriousness of that kill scene. Really Love this abridged series

Everything I could have wanted in a finale. Heavy Warrior's "getting beat up" fetish, Big Goblins who say their names as battle cries like Pokemon, Goblin-Slaying vs Human-Slaying attack, sassy Priestess, Drunk High Elf Archer, and Guild Girl gold-digger!
I'm very thankful for the Christmas miracle. Ive seen many abridged shows that completely blow the ending. You totally nailed it. This was a satisfying end to the first season. I cannot wait to see future works y'all do.

Abridged Guild Girl wasn't really interested until the face reveal. She was however aware that GS was making mad bank and didn't appear to spend much of it.
Good call on making sure Elf girl would be to drunk to remember. Gonna enjoy watching her agonize over that. Especially since everyone else will remember but her. Pretty sure Dwarf will taunt her with that for years

I really hope they make a season 2 someday soon and I hope you guys do another abridged version. I tried watching the regular dub of goblin slayer but it wasn’t as good or funny as this masterpiece. This is my head canon version of goblin slayer. Thanks for the countless laughs and good times
You humans should be proud of how good this series has been. It's been one of my favourite abridged series from beginning to end and I have thoroughly loved every second.
My immortality grants me many boons, but being able to live long enough to see this series completed is arguably one of the greater ones.

I'm seriously torn with agreeing with you there, but then Hellsing abridged is on the same sort of comedy level and is way older, though either way the GS abridged series is an absolute masterpiece!
I'm just happy that an abridged as amazing as this gets to have an ending, something other abridged series doesn't get the luxury of.
